@@W12super we’re best friends me and Bezos 🤣
Great video! I’m thinking of getting my class 1. Can you please make a video showing us more about the tachograph system? Thanks
Coming soon!
All's I will say, if you get your class 1 prepare to struggle for find a haulage company that will take a new pass class 1 driver,
I passed my class 1 four weeks ago (Car to class 1) and it's a struggle finding anywhere to take a new driver,
To be fair even a fair few class 2 jobs want experience
@@SNAKE19961 This is true mate, most places want experience. But there are quite a few companies that take on new passes. Stobarts, Evri, maritime, and most agencies take on a lot of new passes. Suppose it depends on your location.
Just keep looking mate, you’ll find one eventually. Good luck.🤞
@@BrotherTruckerUK Evri changed the three month experience now,
I've applied to stobarts (Warrington and Widnes depot), Maritime not taking on 😢
I know I'll get something just need that little but of luck, even have my ADR hoping it would boost my chances
@@SNAKE19961 Take an agency job for one year there you go the experience they want.
❤
Got to put your card in and show at least 10 mins other work as proof of check .
Correct sir 👍
I did 5 days on Amazon , I’ve them 5 days I had a trailer on for 1, rest of them just kept getting sent to different depots to be told no nothing here for you 🤷🏻♂️
Easy
Hydrogens the way to go ! Remember years ago Sainsburys ERFs running under the name of W. Sims were all converted to gas , far better system than lithium batteries !
Amazon!!! #prime
Yes?
Hello from an ex pat truckie in New Zealand bro, how far will that thing go on a full tank of lpg ? And bobtail to Leeds for a trailer that’s a bit silly isn’t it ?
Hiya mate! Thanks for your question! They’ll do about 300 mile off a full tank which isn’t a lot really. But it covers 1 shift so seems to work for us. But yeah bobtailed to Leeds that day! It happens all the time mate, trailers get cancelled so they bobtail us to the next job.
How’s driving life in New Zealand?? I’ve always wanted to go. Let me know if you’re looking for more expat drivers! 😎👍🇳🇿
@@BrotherTruckerUK there is always work here bro its driving paradise very little traffic, bugger all speed cameras you can park anywhere and a treated like a human being f your under 30 you get an automatic 2 year work visa and it’s the same for Aussie I’m visiting mum in my home town of Warrington in May I can meet you for a pint if you want to know more, cheers Neil
@@bigneil8888 might have to take you up on that offer mate. I’ve always thought about going to NZ or Aussie land, just wasn’t sure if it would be possible with having a young family as well. Give us a shout when your back in Warrington mate 👍
How would one apply to drive Class 1 for Amazon?
Hiya mate, thanks for your question.
I would say search for an Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) in your local area. AFP’s are used by Amazon to provide drivers.
So we don’t theoretically work directly for Amazon, but are instead employed by a company who have agreed with Amazon to supply drivers. Hope this helps. Good luck 👍
Who is the AFP for Amazon Swindon and do they employ Tramping on this contract?
I’m honestly not sure about Swindon. I tried googling it but couldn’t find anything. Might be worth going into the Swindon depot and asking them. Good luck mate. Let me know how you get on 👍
You have lions at Swindon and merlynphoenix base Cricklade
how to apply class 1 job in amazon as a driver which site please
Thanks for your question mate!
Watch one of my most recent videos, I explain in great detail how to become a HGV driver for Amazon! 😉👌
If you have any questions please ask.
😎👍🚛💨
Been looking to get into doing some amazon work is it done through agency I can never find any class 1 agency work near me.
Amazon get drivers by using AFP’s (Amazon Freight Partners) which is basically a 3rd party company that employs drivers full time for the purpose of supplying amazon with drivers. So the trucks belong to amazon, but the drivers are outsourced. Similar to agency work only it’s full time guaranteed work for drivers who are employed by the AFP. Agencies have no commitment to providing consistent work for drivers. I suppose it depends where you’re based mate. I’m in the north west and there’s always loads of agency work. Keep trying tho mate and good luck. Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll be happy help any way I can 👍
@BrotherTruckerUK thanks for info ill just have to keep checking indeed lol drive safe brother
@@rezzzurection4845 good luck mate, thanks for stopping by 👍
Jeff won't be happy with losing money.
I wouldn't work for them as long as I have a whole I'm my A,,,,,,,,,,,,
Where is this job can be find? For newly with no experience
Search for Amazon Hgv driver jobs on indeed
How much did you make during this shift?
I don’t get paid per hour. Im on a fixed annual salary so it makes no difference how many hours I work, I still get paid the same.
How do you get the class 1 job with amazon, just passed my test. Thanks
Hiya mate, I explain how to drive class 1 for Amazon in one of my recent videos.
Check it out.
It’s basically a third party supplier to Amazon. Amazon don’t employ drivers , they use AFP’s.
It will make sense if you watch the videos.
Good luck mate, and congrats on passing your test! 👍
Always ask if you have any questions
@BrotherTruckerUK thanks, will go look for il. A link will be helpful though. Thanks
Absolutely mate, I think it’s this one, towards the end of the video, it explains how Amazon use professional drivers.
ruclips.net/video/XPMWjJziiXI/видео.htmlsi=_6wxvKWsoAbOHQn2
In short, google AFP’s in your area, and it should tell you which companies are working with Amazon.
Hope it helps mate. And feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Good luck 👍
@@BrotherTruckerUK thanks
What's the pay like with Amazon????
Good question mate and thank you for asking.
Id say the pay is average for the UK. Not the best. But the job is good, easy , safe driving.
Salary wise it varies. The company that employ the drivers, the AFP (Amazon freight partner), decide how much they’re willing to pay their drivers.
Amazon pay a certain amount to AFPs for every load that’s completed. Then the AFP decides what they’re willing to pay their drivers. But as I mentioned each company offer different rates/salaries etc.
Sorry if that sounds confusing! Haha I’ve just read it and confused myself! 🤣 but ye hope it makes sense
Thanks for the reply. About to do my course so am looking at all options.
@@BradleyThompson-qh1vm ahh good luck then mate! Hope it all goes well for you. Feel free to ask anymore questions about the job if you have any 👍
300 miles lol
Lpl2 with no emptys? That's a first🤪
😂 😂 😂 standard
Hardly a proper walk around check. How about lifting up the suspension on the back wheels and giving the tyres a good thump on their faces with the fist to check for under inflation.
It’s just a RUclips video mate. I do the proper checks off camera where I can focus on the job and not the filming
Brilliant video! I was panicking when the alarm went off!! 😱🫣😬
Haha 😂 the power of video editing!
It is actually stressful when close to running out of drive time but luckily I made it back!
Thanks for watching Ang! ☺️ xx
@@BrotherTruckerUK love the videos, looking forward to the next one! 👍😁
