use to deliver into London in late 90s early 2000s it was bad then can't imagine what its like now I retired last year after over 40years best decision I have ever made
I take my hat off to anybody trying to drive on UK roads. They all seem so narrow and congested. We have a 40 foot motorhome and can free camp just off a road and not see another vehicle for a couple of days. Loved the video. Cheers from Australia.
Great video man that blind side reverse was done excellent I don't know what I would have done in that situation london is mad the amount of double deckers is crazy and the amount of traffic looking forward to the next vlog 😊
The traffic lights before the Dartford tunnels are so they can filter out lorries that are too tall and adr loads that need to be assorted through and to hold traffic while the adr loads are passing through the tunnels
Driving in London sucks, I used to have to do store deliveries all around there. The arguments I used to get into when people would park in the loading bays on red routes on class two and even on class one when your store you want is down a narrow street and it’s one of those where you have to double look to see if it’s the right one, also if you miss your turning trying to find somewhere to turn around in a truck forget about it 😂 Keep up the good work dude the videos are awesome btw
Hey dude great vid, I hate driving round London. The traffic lights before the dartford tunnel is for when there is a highly flammable load going through, mainly petrol tankers 👍
I enjoyed that! Whilst not a HGV by any stretch of the imagination, I sometimes tow my box van trailer (and very, very occasionally my caravan) through the centre of Tokyo. I can totally understand the stress. Trailers are nowhere near as prevalent in Japan as in Europe, so my biggest stress point is other drivers seeing that I have a trailer and realising it is a trailer being towed and not try and dive in immediately behind my car. Especially scooters and motorbikes. With Tokyo also having heavy traffic congestion and narrow roads and streets, I have to be extra careful with my length when overtaking parked cars, watching out for gormless pedestrians trying to immediately cross either before or after me when turning at a junction (crossings are typically at the junction itself here). I am very careful when pulling away at a junction as pedestrians have a tendency to try and dive in between cars to cross a road and I watch my mirrors like a hawk for someone trying to cross the drawbar of my trailer. Hasn't actually happened yet, but I've seen plenty of people think that there is a gap and try it. It really is full on concentration time and is very energy draining. HGVs though are very good and I often find them helping me out with merges and allowing me enough space to turn or whatever. Naturally, tI do the same for them.
I do deliveries in London on most days 😂😂. I love driving in London , not that bad to be honest because I don`t have to worry about parking at the stores but some of the maccies are really tight .
Man, I enjoy watching your videos. I love your accent. I wish my English was good so I didn't have to write this comment to you with Google Translate. 😉👍
I really admire what you have to do each day I would be stressed as you venture to new places every day not knowing what the drop will be like .I was behind one of your lorrys last night at 9pm it was heading onto the m42 double deck artic wasn't you because that lorry had normal side mirrors not electronic keep up the videos mate you got it rough with these unknown drops
I actually find driving in London easier, but that’s because I’ve driven buses and coaches all around London. Otherwise, it’s a nightmare if you’ve never visited parts of central London and get lost I can imagine.
Mate the way You tuning that steering wheel...like in a normal car 😂 I remember Old good days when I used to live in UK and driving HGV here. If anything happened,Boom! Service coming for the rescue ! Now when I drive international my service to change the flat tyre are...my own hands. That is how for example I started to be more carefull with taking corners and avoid hardshoulder in UK. Everything which can damage Your tyre is just on that place which (suprise suprise) You could use in case of emergency 😂
Getting an artic around London is... Character building. All the cars try and mug you off and those 18t weight limits that are for the night piss me right off. They're only there because nimbys complain about lorries and forget that everything they have was on the back of a lorry.
I hate driving in London. Luckily, I mostly do it at night. Narrow streets, lots of cars jumping in front of you, some careless cyclists... And LLC route, which you need to follow, is terrible too. Not always clearly marked and unlogical sometimes.
Frist would never use the toll road, all you are doing is giving money to the French. As for London if i never went there again it wouldn't bother me. The last job i used to have upto 6 drops a time.
London is rubbish, north is better, better traffic better people, start my 1st HGV class 1 job Monday, car transporter 😊👌👌hope they don't send me to London 😂
@@truckinguk I'm glad I retired for the last 5 years due to ill health I should imagine it's worse 6 years on I do love the mirror on your oops ment camera ther so cool better than my old DAF stay safe on the roads my friend keep the wheels spinning for me all the best Andy
The relief of driving out of london, is immeasurable.
The best road in London is the one leading out 👍👍
😂😂😂 love this comment
yep M1 J1 northbound

The roads in the uk aren’t that bad well I take that back 😂😂
True. They are utterly terrible. Aussie over here 10 years

I’m pretty sure London it’s the worst city to driver in a truck 😂

Thank you for the information mate 😎
I always have a feeling of dread heading into London but euphoria on the way out 🚛

There are always cars in the loading bays, drives me insane! Simply just ignorant and careless. Loading bays should somehow be monitored with cameras
Great videos, just passed my class 1 , can’t wait to get out there
Nice one mate, keep safe 😎🚛🚚
This is an amazing video! Love the POV when driving 😃👏👏
Thanks love 😁
I like the mirror in side the cab love it I used to stop there plenty of time on my tacko so I'm not srugling stay safe buddy ❤

Wow, you make trucking look so easy. Maybe I should get some training in and get my license. I wonder though if it's too late for a 66 year old lady.
It’s never to late auntie 😎
Well done pal. Safe journeys. Newly subscribed. 👍
great vid as always!
Thank you pal 😎
Done class 1 multi drop, Sainsbury's, Tesco's+ Poundland. You get used to it , just take it easy no rush.
Make longer videos please. Your content is great!
I wish you success my love, excellent video like everything you do, very hard... 😊😊😊
Thank you
Think yourself lucky mate, I’m based in Kent and get the joys of London most days! 😫

Great video !!
Cheers mate
Didn't seem too bad, I've been doing home deliveries in a 26t ridged. Very stressful without a banksman.
Did london years ago . When i got to the sign saying welcome to london i fot about changing it to welcome to a truckers nightmare .
Love it 😂😂😂
In the 1980s
We could leave Oldham in Lancashire make 13 drops in London and a collection in Kentish Town 9 hours off and leave

Now try this again, with a 16'2" trailer. That gets even more stressful lol
you make it look easy, smoooth
Stay safe
I drive in London most weeks, best view of London is in your rear view mirror.
We do deliveries in London to a place where you have to reverse down a KFC drive thru to get to the stores yard. Absolute nightmare
outstanding driving great skills
I actually find driving in London easier, but that’s because I’ve driven buses and coaches all around London. Otherwise, it’s a nightmare if you’ve never visited parts of central London and get lost I can imagine.
How do you like those cab floor mats are they any good
Not a single strap on any of those goods/pallets in that trailer?... DVSA will be impressed :D

Hey mate how do you film those FPV shots. Is it a head strap for go pro?
Looking at your phone and planning you're route whilst your tacho is on break is illegal my friend. You should
be on"other work".
When you say its your blind side, I was thinking how can that be😂 but im a trucker from the Netherlands and for me it is the otherway around😂
Yeah, not easy
Los camiones trailer de EEUU son muy diferentes a los de europa incluido Londres, por qué será?
Try Birmingham also, nightmare
£14.70 is cheap for a lorry. I pay that for a small van.
We have a Park Royal run that is 6-7 tips. Absolute nightmare. They have to pay people extra just to go down there. London is a cesspit really.
Extra pay what? Really?
@@truckinguk Yeah because people would refuse to do it.
I have never refused a job 😂
Refusing to goto London?? They're not drivers then.
Gave up my HGV licence and will never drive there again, it’s a lorry drivers nightmare you could pick up £200of fines easily a right royal rip off
I hate driving in London. Luckily, I mostly do it at night.
Narrow streets, lots of cars jumping in front of you, some careless cyclists...
And LLC route, which you need to follow, is terrible too. Not always clearly marked and unlogical sometimes.
Also, massive traffic jams at M25 can freak you out.
I love London but its 4 hours to W1 from Kings Lynn
You like trucking in London?
@@truckinguk I do its getting in at begining of Day that costs the hours
Driving for 30 years. Wales Scotland Belfast Dublin. London is probably the worst place to deliver. Even people who live their hate driving in London.
Longer videos are much better 👍
I’ll try to make them longer
Is right lad
Hate driving in London might mean you don't like a challenge.
This is mental !
i thought big lorries are not allowed in London
Did look that busy 😂😂
It was a bit yes 😂
Doing London for 18 years now ,it’s not that bad .
That’s not London my man only just off north circle 😂😂😂
That's not London that's just the end of the M 4.
It’s says London in the map 🗺️ ✌🏽
Look up Kings street EC2 artic delivery that's London.😆
i hate driving in london dont mind the suburbs
It does feel good when driving out 🚚🚛
why is everything to you a nightmare ?
Frist would never use the toll road, all you are doing is giving money to the French. As for London if i never went there again it wouldn't bother me. The last job i used to have upto 6 drops a time.
Don't want to sound like a killjoy but I don't think you should really be doing your route planning whilst on break. Technically.
your welsh accents are crazy
Welsh 😂😂😂 I’m Latino not Welsh 😂😂
@@truckinguk 😂😂 you speak every English accent in one, fried my brain 😂😂
@@truckinguk lol sorry bro 😅 just came across channel other day great content 👌
