This is one of the best punk songs of the newer generation of artists. I say newer (I realize its old) because I'm old as shit and anything after 1997 is "just noise" to us codgers.

The lead singer is Laura Jane Grace. White Crosses was the album she made right before she came out as trans. Tons of previous Against Me! songs have veiled references to her internal struggle with gender dysphoria.
