About her low mobility that was mentioned, unless you want the full benefits of both wards at once, I recommend splitting up arcane ward and radiant ward (ideally on both ends of the map). These will be your two triangle teleportation points. If you’re casting on arcane ward and an enemy is coming at you, teleport to the radiant ward and spam your basic attack. This will build back her ATB and when the enemy is getting close again, teleport again to arcane and use spells. Rinse and repeat.
Huh....never thought of that, especially if you equip the perk that makes your wards stay longer. Not a bad idea for mobility. Even throw in the teleport cool downtown reduction, and you've got yourself a teleporting Aerith
Your allies also benefit from arcane wards double cast, so if you pull an ally into your ward to set up a synergy skill, and they have a synergy material linked they will also double cast their spell (if you have the atb to back it up after the synergy skill)
Loving these video, they are helping me get some ideas during my playthrough. I'm hoping you do build guides for the rest of the characters. Especially Red and Barret, and maybe Yuffie and Cait Sith
I’ve been running Aerith with first strike. Lay down her Radiant Ward at the beginning, get your ATB up quickly with fast attacks cast her shield the one that prevents enemies from hitting (not lustrous shield). Next put her Arcane Ward down it’s amazing how much stagger and damage she does from that point. With her high magic attack she damn there of not my strongest character.
I've arrange the shortcut in from order top to bottom or Square to X, Square for Chrono Aegis, Triangle for Radiant, then cast Haste, then Arcane for Triangle and finally X for Lustrous. Easy to remember when your in combat just follow the commands. Tifa her combo would be Square for Unbridled Strength to Level 3, Triangle Starshower, Circle for Overpower, and X Chi Trap.
I like aerith with first Strike, atb boost and speed up. Trigger boost at the start for 2 atb then set up both wards and with how much faster she is, her tempests will spam and build back the atb for elemental spells. I also will have elemental materia with whatever element enemies are weak to so her tempest does a little more
Honestly dissapointed in this video. Cloud one was great and showed off an actual build with uses of materia that a new player may not think of (even if many people are making Plasma Discharge videos on Cloud). The Tifa video was also a bit of a dissapointment as it was an off-field/AFK build and not really one for using yourself. This is fine, you didn't want to copy the Plasma Discharge build from Cloud on her, but it was a build for not actually playing her (for those that wanted that). NOW this Aerith build isn't a build at all. It just talked about her basic ward skills and using Magnify materia.... something that pretty much anyone does on her (like how most also use her as a heal bot). If going into Wards, you should have talked about how the Synergy Materia is best on her paired with her Ward and a Double Element Spell materia. Aerith will use the best element of the two if the enemy is weak to one. You can also have a second slot set up with HP/MP absorb set with one of those elements and now she's auto double casting one of two spells while able to heal her HP/MP all while off field. This is of course an AFK build, but it is at least a build showing combinations of Materia. If you want to have more videos, you can post both on-field and off-field builds for characters. This means double the videos and builds you can make. But as it is, this video doesn't really provide anything special or new. Which is a bit of a dissapointment.
Do you have any other "generic" recommendations? There's a lot of builds and suggestions but a lot of them are a little questionable. I'm having a hard time with Red 13, Cait Sith, and Yuffie (unless I'm running the thundergod build), specifically.
Actually just playing her normally. Not even a build. What part of this were you unsure would work? Because you're listing things that you could definitely do in Remake. Arcane ward + magnify? Yeah, obviously. I duno. This video really felt like a waste of time and dragged on like you just wanted watch minutes. Scammed.
If you take the abilities in the folio that allow you to use an elemental attack without MP, your magic spells will have an alpha next to them. Indicating that you took this folio. But also increasing the damage of that element. I've been testing this and it seems yuffie's ninjutsu are also affected by these elemental folios. I saw a clip of cloud using a magnify Firaga on a group of enemies that were weak to it and it dealt 9999 dmg per hit, which was the damage cap in remake, i dont know if genji equipment is in rebirth, my guess is they'll save that for part 3, but it if is, you can easily break the damage cap with full magic aerith at max level would be my guess. But i'm in chapter 7 so don't quote me on that.

This isn't really anything new over her Remake build. IMO, you need Radiant Ward out first before dropping Arcane though, because her ATB generation is terrible in its default state. Radiant Ward is what you should drop first, because it massively increases her ATB gain. Whistlewind Scarf is also better than the Magic Up accessories if you want to get her generation and staggers going ASAP for most encounters. Just change it for boss fights. Also, if you aren't taking control of her very often, you aren't optimizing her being in the party. Her only other real benefit of simply "being there" while not being controlled is that you get the amazing Spell Blade Synergy Skill that does TONS of damage with Cloud.
You don’t need to cast a spell to trigger the synergy materia, you can use abilities too. Synergy materia is best used on Aerith. You can link it to one of the dual magic materia and she’ll cast the better option anytime someone uses an ability. She has the best magic stats and is generally in her wards so she’ll more often than not double cast it. You can even link the same magic that you link to synergy materia to mp/hp absorb materia and the synergy casts will gain that effect.
@@Andre_Holmes Yup. You can do some cool stuff when manually casting spells too like Magnify + Ice and Quick Cast + Ice to have instant cast Blizzagas that hit multiple targets. You can even add Spell Efficiency + Ice to reduce the mp cost or MP Absorb + Ice to refund some cost.
For healing, id recommend not actually using her healing spells(still have it equipped for use in a pinch though) and just equip her with the enemy skill materia after you learn soothing breeze, and give her accessories/learn skills that increase her healing power and if a character gets low on health, if you can either get close to them or if you can, use the bodyguard synergy skill to warp that character to you, then instantly use soothing breeze, healing that character very rapidly back to full health(along with herself and your other ally if they close enough) Best of all that ability costs 0 mp allowing you to save her mp for damage dealing :D
This is a interesting build, I think I'll incorporate it into my Obelisk of Light build. I'm currently running an Aerith build based around Radiant Ward. Link Elemental materia with the correct elemental magic materia, enter battle with First Strike materia and set down Radiant Ward and turn into an Obelisk of Light! (hence why I call this the Obelisk of Light build) Just attacking will generate more ATB than what you can spend (not to mention the amazing rate of increase for Stagger). Use Bodyguard synergy skill for protection. Use Combat Savior to generate large amounts of ATB for synergy partner, while Aerith is attacking. So you can build up ATB for at least 2 characters at once. Best synergy partner is Cloud with Plasma Discharge enemy skill, due to the insane ATB build up rate. Spellbound Blast can also generate ATB quickly, but it's much slower, so it's harder to hit. On the other hand, Spellbound Blast can do high amount of damage on par with Cloud's Braver. And because this generate ATB so fast, I can afford to use Pray to top off health for the whole party regularly. Best thing is: this build really only depends on having Radiant Ward, which basically means it's operational soon after entering Under Junon. The Elemental materia and the synergy skills are more like bonuses that makes this build even better.
I tried linking Comet with Synergy just to try it out, and now I'll never NOT have it on her. Any time your controlled character uses ATB, you get a free high damage AOE cast (or two if Aerith is in her Arcane ward)! Just keep in mind, Comet has a long animation time, so you'll want to keep an eye on her HP. I've also linked Magic Up with a level boost for the extra Magic damage.
You can get the magnify materia before chapter 6, which I'm on now, not 8, as I've got it and I had it before chapter five. I can't remember where or when I got, but unless it is a different materia I'm thinking of, you can get the magnify materia sooner.
I have completed all the quest just finish gongaga but all the other regions I have 100% even the underground arena and the one on gold soucer and all of the combat simulation plus hiding treasures on the regions lol I have being exploring everything
Awesome vid! Arcane ward Aerith has been my fave since Remake. Just to avoid confusion, the second cast is not free so its not actually two for the price of one. The second cast just costs less MP and has slightly reduced potency. Nevertheless still an awesome build for her. Combo this up with synergy materia and Aerith will be insane

Mug, And the enemy skill that makes you explode electricity and Blindside is amazingly fun. You jump around sticking to the target and exploding again and again since MUG gives you ATB charge. Aswell as it's a very good gapcloser.
Does mug still work if she fails to steal the item from her opponent? I know there are a lot of like "brave thief" buffs that she has access to both in her folio and in some of her weapons, but if I'm facing opponents that might not yield an item or it fails to steal (even with the thief gloves x luck up), it feels like a waste.@@MeldinX2
The battle against that FUCKING BOMB! Her alone against an enemy that attacks in quick succession from any spot is BAD. She is meant to literally be Sailor Moon in the background while remaining free from harm all the while in Goddess mode. She ranked #3 top 3 outta all 9 characters for best combat Oddly enough # 1 Yuffie # 2 Tifa # 3 Aerith which makes the three females…the optimized and strongest battle team. I mean Garnet FF9 who? Mog FF6 who? FF7 HAS NO USELESS CHARACTERS! Can’t wait for a party of 8…(poor Aerith-based in the route they are going in whatever Beagle or whatever canine fuck ass convoluted time line she died in she’s staying dead. I mean wasn’t that already the 2nd timeline separate from OG and if that’s the case this bitch died twice and still couldn’t be saved…meh(regardless she obviously will prob me mentioned every other 6 minutes in the opening few chapters of the finale or would make 0 sense for her to fight with, be with, travel with the crew regardless of either A. Cloud has been so far intoxicated with Mako as well as having a shattered mental state seemingly seeing Aerith in real life as if she NEVER DIED LMFAO but it’s clear the others don’t see her or…B JEMOVA CLONE which seems Like a possibility Or Sephiroth is using some intermediate smoke and mirrors to create some illusion or C. She’s just fucking dead and wanted to say goodbye to everyone in spirit…in the ending she walked up to or by everyone but walked up to Red and Tifa and observed her face as I think she was crying or just really gloom. She didn’t say a word. If that really was “GHOST AERITH” (religious people could def see this) her soul is in the process of departing to a new plane but she saw the 8 others off (I think Vincent was there too I know CID was) as even in her final prayer alive she mentioned Clouds entire entourage that she needs not the answer but THE ANSWER for protecting the planet but also her cherished friends. When BARRET threw on the black shades to shed tears over Aerith it hit SO HARD. Keep in mind she essentially rescued his daughter even though it would hurt her in the long run through the shear goodness (purity) selfless and kind loving nature that she has. Anyway Aerith ranked quite low in a different tier list I was like what. Her magic stat is through the roof with Arcane Ward is like double cast Radiant Ward (which is ethereal To look at…when I saw that move I’m like THIS MAKES SENSE LOL) ATB WARD IS BROKEN if “FAITH” is applied via CAIT SITH then that’s even more damage Yuffie Cloud Aerith Or Yuffie Tifa Aerith are for gamers that think they will be inflicted with Mako poisoning if they have there 2-3 ATB bars all the way empty
She's actually the strongest magic dps once you get her "Radiant Ward" ability which available at the early of chapter 4 after defeating the fish boss 😎.

“For the price of one” it still cost the MP to cast the second time and it tells you that. All it does is save ATB
Maybe a Provoke/Tank Barret or an unkillable Yuffie kind of build next?

Yeah lol. A big AOE is always good imo. And does solid damage too. And if its needed you just can cast fire, ice etc manually to hit their weakness.
