It must be the perfect rhythmic timing in both hands producing the clean harmony as intended by Scriabin's beautiful music. You are guaranteed a seat among the many great pianists.
Thank you so much for your superb performance of this magnificent work from the Belle Epoque russe by the inimitable Scriabin! It makes a wonderful follow-on piece to his Etude op. 8 no. 12, which I will now attempt. My sincere gratitude, always !!
Fantastic piece of Scriabin, and Volodin plays it with top virtuosity ! at the end of his life, Scriabine heard someone play his piece and he did not remember that he was the composer!
Mr. Volodin and Mr. Volodos are the same type of pianist. However, a comparison would be foolish as they each have a unique personality. What a fantastic composition rendered by a passionate pianist.
Extremely good performance! Not perfect - I don't think the main climax benefits from being rushed - but one of the fieriest interpretations I know. Check out this piece in the hands of MISHA DACIC, SOFRONITSKY or LAZAR BERMAN.
Im new to this piece. I heard one other that was slower thar I prefer. The main theme seems rushed? The one I heard before this was Roberto Szidon and tgat triumphant piu vivo section is played so beautifully
I really liked this interpretation, except for the climactic B major section, which was rushed and could have done with more poise. But nice feeling and rubato.
Wonderful pianism , but I don't feel the angst. Some great capricious touches withstanding. This piece should leave the listener heartbroken. I'm very impressed but unmoved.
Good on you for noticing! Very odd to find NY S&S outside of the U.S.A. Maybe they were trying to recollect Horowitz! -- who played on an NY Steinway in his last concerts in the U.S.S.R....
@@mc-mc-mc The piano in the video is a Hamburg Steinway, not a New York Steinway. Same company. Different factory. Hamburg Steinways are common throughout European and Asian concert halls.
one of my favorites of scriabin, his music feels so laced with something deeply mysterious and mystical
This is my favourite piece of Skrjabin, and Volodins rendition is just fantastic!
His interpretation is somewhat clinical but....there are moments when the music is so lyrical that I want to cry!

Extraordinary recording.
Wonderful live performance. Some of Scriabin's piano writing in this piece is ridiculously hard :)

Большой Музыкант ! Доброго здоровья Вам , Маэстро !

Provoking thought and feelings at the same time. More than remarkable.

史克理亞賓曲子,震撼,活潑,喜歡
Bravo maestro!
Volodin è un pianista sottovalutato
Magnifico
Он Божестенен! Любимый пианист.
Very good Scriabin
Me encanta!!!
The section before the main theme in 4:29, was so well constructed, I don't know why he speeds up the tempo then. A bit messy.
I feel like speeding up a bit is more like Scriabin, being expressive and dolce is more like Chopin. I love this interpretation anyways.
@@RobertLi-p2w i see where you coming from but that melody is very bel canto. I think it should be played with care u know
Потрясающее исполнение! Браво!

Great

I have only heard this and Roberto Szidon, and at the point you are referring to the Szidon version was far better to my ears
Bravo!
I like it
too fast the middle part
잘치긴 존나 잘친다.. 근데 클라이막스 너무 달리는게 아쉽 러시얀이라 그런가
Fantastisch. A Great performer of Chopin...........
Volod(os)in.....not the same but really interesting
Was thinking the same thing!

Gyönyörü fantasia és Volodin "bombastisch" intepret. Fontos hogy kulturàt ne keverjük politikàval!!
Wonderful pianism , but I don't feel the angst. Some great capricious touches withstanding.
This piece should leave the listener heartbroken. I'm very impressed but unmoved.
David McNulty maybe he was in a good mood that day ? But seriously I agree szidon has a great interpretation of this
Try Evgeny Genchev's performance on RUclips. I think you'll find much more in it. Angst and passion.
younji kim
Lazar Berman's is amazing!!!
Just curious: Why is there a New York Steinway in Russia? Not really a nice instrument.
