Brava!!👏👏 great performance!! Excellent phrasing and music-making, and good cohesiveness in concept of the whole piece. Many pianists performing this piece tend to bash their way through😛
Those beautiful long fingers, emotional restraint and stoic disposition chanel in to Scriabins psyche❤ Was redirected here after listening to an orchestral version of the piece which was quite unworldly....on YT
It might be this piece resembles to Rachmaninov’s style ? This is the last great piece of his first period. Eager to establish his own style filled with mysterious chord and ecstasy, and he accomplished it with the great 4th Piano Sonata!
I really like this performance. The deep, voluptuous, beautiful piano sound, the flexibility of the rhythm are very beautiful and very inspiring! Bravissima!
Astounding piece. Incredible playing. 3:22 sounds just like it's about to become the march-like section in the middle of the F minor Fantasie of Chopin
Listen to his symphonies and other piano pieces. He is one of the best orchestrators of all time but no one acknowledges this. Listen to his counterpoint in pieces like this one, also a master. Prometheus, just an insane masterpiece on another dimension of greatness.
steventunnicliffe81 yes I was joking very easy to memorise this version is nowhere near as good as szidon on yt I play similar to him as that is what I think scriabin wanted when he composed it Sorabji and others are difficult to memorise but I get there in the end
Braestro Certainly, yes. Scriabin’s late style (beginning around Op.58) would probably be most representative of his modernism although there are plenty of prior examples.
Perfect interpretation of the delicate piece. Shouldn't the piece have been entitled Fantasy on a Theme by Liszt? It's written in the same key as the latter's sonata, whose main theme is referenced in different tempos through the Scriabin composition.
Great performance but not enough craziness as Scriabin would require. Some passages are great but lacking some imagination. I believe that this is related to the piece itself that lacks of structure. Have listen to Richter and other great pianists but results were not that better, to my opinion. Turbulent environment was not well established...I believe score shall be modified to better fit interpretation (as per Horowitz would do).
If you understand well the sonata form and how Scriabin adapt it for this piece, you cannot say like that, the part of D Major pedal, repeated then after, evidently, in the B Major, who give the important motif of Developpment and Coda.
Beautiful Performance. Such a complex but yet lyrical piece
Love this performance. The treatment of tempo and phrasing is lovely. Nice to hear a pianist privilege articulation and phrasing over speed!
totally agree, I love this piece
i like this one because it's not too loud, beautifully phrased
5:26 when the left hand sings with the right
WOW
Indeed! So beautiful.💕
It’s like a husband and wife
1:49 I can come back to again and again and again. Absolutely sensational
Just....bravo. I can't imagine how a human can even perform a 10th this well under the pressure, lights, judges. Superhuman stuff
4:36 - 5:40 is so intense I sometimes forget to breathe lmao
This part hits so hard that it makes me tear up a little ngl
Absolutely brilliant performance of a great piece.
Such an underrated piece, fantastic interpretation!!

One of the best interpretations of this legendary piece. A fine balance between power and finesse from a female pianist
Absolutely - this is absolutely wonderful!
Wonderful. I love the clarity of her version...

@@satoshionoe2539 I don’t think it’s Rachmaninov at all, more or so Scriabin on the brink of breaking off with Chopin

She gets it like no other! Wonderful! Poetic and powerful!
James Mc Donnell not as good as szidon it needs more power but she has a nice lyrical tone just not enough pathos
Absolutely breathtaking. The second theme of the recapitulation gave me chills!
Only one thing misses in this performance...the applause at the end!
its likely in the middle of a set so there wouldn't be applause after this piece but the ending one
This is a magnificent piece of music, so powerful and beautiful and I just love how the very end brings it to such a wonderful resolution.

The most solid performance I've heard (and I've heard a few) to this incredibally (!!!) hard piece to play but my absolute favorite for piano solo.
how in the hell do they memorise this type of music
sam333 Surprisingly this music is far from being the most difficult to memorize. The 1950’s serial music is borderline impossible.

Yep. Good shit =) I recommend Bernd Glemser's recording though =P
Superlative interpretation of a piece that is not performed very often. Incredible musician❤

Wow, I didn't know about this Scriabin piece. I really like early Scriabin a lot. Can anyone else hear Rachmaninov's 4th Concerto about 5:16?
Exquisitely beautiful performance

Is this piece placed on the more romantic side rather than modern? It has a simpler form and has a tonal center

The bars 2.57 to 3.29 and similar measures sound stilted and don't really go with the music. Scriabin ruined it a but there imo

좀더 루바토. 필요시 좀더 여유있게 멜로디를 살리고 포르테 제일 센 부분을 더 살렸음 좋았을텐데. 어렵고 좋은곡 쳐주셔 감사합니다

Too lyrical wasnt the purpose of Scriabin in this piece...hmm. A kind of interpretation that is allowed.
