- This metal building would allow you to create an affordable home in Antelope Acres - Salt Flat, TX. You will have to insulate and create your interior walls to divide the interior structure to your liking.
You could create a home for around $10,000 dollars.
I loved it and especially how you two worked together as a team. If everything in life could go together this smoothly, how happy we'd all be!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi
The guy walking up a roof truss with a cross bar is amazing!
It may not be cheap, but the best home construction material I've seen on the internet is steel structural insulation panels. Very well insulated, as strong as heck, and will not burn.
I’m very interested, but I would like to see it insulated for R value and sound proofing.
This definitely fills a void in the low cost housing market.
Thanks
I've been thinking box doing the same thing. Seems that a couple people can put the metal building up. Then just have to finish as time/money allows. Keep the videos coming.
I've tossed around the idea of framing out a house using square tubing, but the way this one was done will guarantee problems in the future. Do what you want, but don't make the mistake of following this guy's example.
@@jamesrodriquez2863 What were the things he did wrong? I'm genuinely curious.
metal can be good thing but a pain in the rear end to insulate, Condensation is the Killer, vaper barrier, adding metal or wood studs so that you actually have something to secure the interior wall material to, like T&G 1x6 wood or 1/2 inch sheetrock etc... Metal framing thickness and your basic 3& 1/2 inch fiberglass insulation or Styrofoam ? will you need to add a firing strip to make the build out? Running wires ? or will you have to surface mount electric and plumbing ? I find that when I write up an estimate for this kind of structure and finishing out vs the choice of metal stud framing or wood framing and finishing out the price always comes up very much higher, so it is usually wood 2x4 or 2x6 framing and them metal a slite bit more in expense. As far as the metal carport/garage structure for that type of use ( unheated or cooled ) they cant be beat, they are quick to assemble and are very long lasting, and a good investment for a Garage.
come to Kenya with your expertise and you will make it big in real estate. Here such a house in the rural will be appreciated; though in the United States and other wealthy nations people see it as a sign of poverty.
That's not necessarily true anymore. A growing percentage of our population is beginning to see the value in a well built small home.
Love IT. Me encantaría ver como quedo.la distribución por dentro
My wife and I and 6 dogs and 1 cat live in a 12x28 storage building,,, metal roof,, cedar siding,,, 7,000 bucks
Before that we lived in a school bus for about 3 years 😎
how were you able to find zoning for such building?
@@art-tb3um some rural county's have relaxed zoning laws,, you just have to look,, it may mean having to commute a little to the things you want,, but to us it it worth it 👋
@@noahbody2514 Yup, when ya don't have rent or mortgage you can afford just about anything you want so commuting won't be a big deal either.
In England you're looking at 100k plus just for the land, even in remote areas 😐
Lovely!!!
Thanks for recording. Less music and more explaining would have been great.
Superb technology!
Thank You, enjoyed the demonstration, please if I want to keep it more cool, what other materials inside the wall. For example if I want to make a smooth finish by adding gypsum board as interior surface, should I follow the same spacing of the steel frame as the width of the board or should the board have 3 screw points of 1200mm divided into 20mm:60mm:1980mm, how will you do it??
60x100 building is around 60K from versatube. I wanna build a home/shop but not sure of codes
Nice house... We can use this concept in philippines... Thanks for sharing
First rain and you'll find why you should put a seal on the bottom plate. And why you seal windows and doors. Plumbing pipe would have been nice before the foundation. I guess that's extra.
Not there problem, faster they can throw it up the faster they can throw more over priced junk up at the next place, these buildings are built for quantity not quality.
Is it enough to prevent from winds and hot weather conditions?
Nice work you can add information about all metal home design
Beautiful one
Good job ! 👏
I loved American homes,It is wonderful to build with solid materials and can be disassembled like iron too
I like living that homes 😄 but it's difficult her in Morocco Because the atmosphere here is very hot🤔
put insulation in your buildings - Cellulose, Mineral Wool or Fiberglass. each 25 mm of these products will reduce the amound of heat your building absorbs by a factor of 4 or 5 - ultimately a lot less AC needed than a brick building Recommended 2 layers of 15 mm with overlapping Joints where applicable. - also make sure your roof is white.
I live in overpriced Austin Texas where the average price of a new home is around $300,000. I wouldn't be surprised to see the crooked politicians make this kind of home illegal.
They allow Barndominiums, which is basically what this is.
The area they are building in Antelope Acres - Salt Flat, TX is UNrestricted! IF they allow mobile homes, they will more than likely allow this. But personally, I would have bought one with vertical siding and boxed eaves. That would put the ridges up and down on the sides and the roof panels would look more like a normal steel roof. HOWEVER, since TX isn't has humid as FL, they probably don't have the same problem with algae and mold that we have here in FL. We have to pressure wash ours. It gets rather icky.
Thats cheap here in Northern California average home is $500-600k+ but yes America has been set up to suck you out of all your hard earned money one way or another unfortunately
Beautiful job
How much money to completely work
I need to do a foundation like that for 30x40 storage but do I need to do a concrete line in the middle,I thought will be just square shaped concrete..sorry I have no idea how it works.
Great vídeo. Awesome job, nice house. Can I ask what's the size and how thick the columns/tubes are? I guess the floor columns, the wall columns and the roof are all different sizes
2 x 2 inch sq MS anti rust end enamal painted tube 16 to 18 gauge
I'm interested in building one for my self
Beautiful
Buen trabajo amigo aparte con poca personas se trabaja
When talking one of this type of bldg. down and erecting again is it recommended to use bigger fasteners of what originally used to erect the first time?
what was used around the windows and doors to prevent space and water from entering?
In this case I would use direct to metal glue to install windows.
Bom..vou fazer a minha casa igual, de metal.. Obrigado.
I love this video.👍
What country is did this construction take place in? Anyone know? I dont think this is IRC compliant.
What about the interior?
Is there a video?
Theres no floor or any fittings at this point, was there bracing? I didnt see it.
Very Very good sar
good work

Good example of geoengineering.
Sam Camp .
Your being sarcastic right.
They do that here in FL too!
I noticed that too!
And are tested against Hurricane?
Yes!
Rockin!
Thank you! This is good!
Building whet up well but it will soak the floor because the siding does not overlap the slab sides, would have been fine had they poured a raised curb slab.
Diy selfers never ever get it just right,
Did it ever occur to you that their house is in a DESERT???? As in hardly any rain at all?
vERY EXCELLENT JOB!
Muy bueno
Gracias bendido viejo
Thank you for ideas that you share 😘
How long did it took to complete the house ?
Looks like a desert. Does it rain there? Is the place above sea level? If it is hot in that place, the house could be an oven.
Great video thank you.
Genios muchas muchas Gracias!!!!!
I sell and install these for a living!
Pablo Garcia dnd esta ubicado
Loved it thank you
Framing is 22% of building cost can build a stick frame house with foam insulation and metal roof for $125 per sq ft plumbing heat pump sheet rock 3 bedroom two bath.
What is this metal building cost ... Metal studs are they structural ?
Are you including labor dude? 47 dollars a foot finished is all it cost me.
@@ashforkdan yes labor included. Basic house company owns metal roof machine and foam machine. Local supply lumber package.
Good job
profile section of coloumn , beams and puline
what is the name of the company that sold you that DIY steel house kit?
You made me dance
Missing insulations maybe?
Excelente calidad muy buena
Does it survive in flood, earthquake and winds...?
Yes, but I'm not sure about the inside when it comes to flood. Drywall would need to be replaced.
better title for video is, 16x10 metal shed.
Agent Anderson .
24×30 garage
Actually, it will be a house!
thanks...it's inspire me
Shouldn't there be a rebate at least in the concrete will have water issues
Hola como tapanlos oyos de las esquinas ?
ONE THING ABOUT METAL...WHEN IT SUNNY DAY ..SURELY GOING TO BE HIT UP.....
kit osman spray foam insulation and a steel building with a white roof will fix that.
We have a closed in carport 20'x20' in FL and it is one of the coolest places on the property.
mans not hot
Very nice...thanks
How thick is the tubing?
beautiful hands ✋
good job
Ok👌 thanks very nice
Would have been a lot better without the music! How heavy are those tubular arches that you two are carrying? My husband and I are older so we were wondering if we would be able to do it.
Tubular arches 35 kg 40 rft
why they didn't show haw to build inside
Were living the same this one it surely in summer
What type of steel is your frame?
Temperature during the day ???
las planchas estan mal puesta el agua entrara tiene que ser de abajo hacia ariba como las escamas de un pes o como cuando pones tejas
What blade did you use to cut the seeths ?
They are profiles for mounting drywall partitions. That is not to build houses. It does not have enough resistance.!!
OH contraire! Depending upon what gauge steel you get, they can withstand up to 150 mile per hour winds, which is a CAT 4 Hurricane! They also do tornadoes well too!
What is the approximate cost of this construction?
No esta mal pero no se ve como ponen los tornillos de sujeción de los postes
Great , What is the cost of turnkey
En cuántos días se isieron en colocar. Exelente
Shipping container only cost $3000.00. free delivery.

Plenty do. You can buy a pre-cut peel and stick rigid foam insulation kit for the interior and same for outside. Wall panels easily applied. Plumbing and wiring are a challenge but not insurmountable. Buy the high top and insulate the HELL out of the roof/ceiling area and you have a RIGID structure that'll outlast stick framing by decades, at a fraction of the cost. Tie it down well to the earth and nothing short of a wind blown Volvo will destroy it. Fire, rot, rodent and insect resistant it is a SMART move. Maybe not YOUR style, but value? Incomparable.
@@juanrmz8436 and wake up in China one day.
This is cheaper in the long run, especially since you don't have to take a cutting torch to it to open it up and make rooms wider.
Container are of very heavy gauge
Como se yama esa lamina?
Chapas de zinc trapezoidal pintadas
Material was used?
Amazing
What's the wind rating on this structure? Would any county in Florida let you build a residential house like this without plywood or drywall? ... just metal skin over 2x4s framing , 2" Styrofoam insulation and MDF paneling on the inside?
Aesthetically...you'd probably have to get vertical panels and boxed eaves to pass the zoning idiots. PLUS some neighborhoods require a minimum square footage. I've seen some Barndominiums for sale in FL. They look nice. Worst issue is that some counties require that you deal with THEIR approved contractors! Find some property approved for Mobile Homes or with no restrictions and you should be able to do it.
Oh, and you want 2-1/4" tubular steel for 150mi. an hour winds.
How much did this cost?
where do you get these kits?
Carport suppliers also usually sell kits.
what is the Hurricane raiting on this structure or the Wind force raiting? what gauge metal are you using?
If they got 12 Gauge 2-1/4" tubular steel it is 150 mile an hour wind proof! Which is Cat4.
Nice video OK where is the inside
Hola!! Y en el interior como son las paredes?...que aislante colocan?
Puedes poner madera 2×4 y framiarlo despues spreyar las paredes con insulacion..
Let me ask what is the size of the house
Those Mexican are bad ass

Combien ça coûte pour un construction comme ça ?
How it costs
Next step should be lots of insulation.
Won't it get hot in Texas?
Considering that GARAGE costs "10k" should say a lot about the high overpriced cost of METAL in USA
let alone the rest of the west and eu
I did one of those enclosed carports for under $3000 at my last house. They are way over-priced.
They didn't say the garage cost 10k. they said it shows it could become a house for around 10. The high cost of steel is due to the steel tariffs. When the tariffs went into effect all steel, foreign and domestic went up 25%.
yea steel definitely doesn't cost that much. I've seen these things that size for sale for about 10k as well. But I think all that cost comes in as some overpricing and overhead for shipping and installation. not to mention a lot of times you have to prepare the spot it's going to be built on yourself. If you just bought the steel for the project I believe it will be around 3k for the kit alone. maybe something for shipping the kit to your house.
@@Lilmiket1000 They still cost that much! The cost is insulating and putting in stud walls, electrical and plumbing! Not to mention your well and septic!
Check out Carolina Carports! They offer regular pricing, plus special pricing for hurricane resistant tubes. They make their price sheets downloadable.
In indid a 12 ft long sheet cost 20 US D width 33 inch. Available upto 20 rft MS tube 75 cents per kg
