May God bless you Bishop Barron and keep your voice strong in proclaiming His Kingdom. God keep you in His grace. I pray all those who hear you will be moved by the Spirit to grasp the depth of God's love for us so we can praise Him for His goodness.
Bishop, you touch so many lives and hearts with your witness. I’m a 70+ Catholic and you bring new life to the scriptures for me. God Bless you for sharing your gift
When I made my promises of lay consecration to God and the Catholic Church, the priest told me to pick a saint that would be my patron or patroness. So I picked John the Baptist. He gets to have 3 celebrative days in the Church, because he was more than just Jesus's cousin. He was one of the great prophets AND a Martyr for the Lord. Thank you, Bishop Barron.
Jesus give me grace and endurance this Christmas. As a single mother my number one priority, are my sons. Both of them are autistic so they require a lot from me. God give me strength as I struggle to provide for them. My faith in you is still strong! Even as I struggle to pay rent every month and I struggle to buy groceries for my children, I KEEP FAITH in you LORD. Jesus hear my prayers I’m so overwhelmed and discouraged because I’m also battling lupus and have heart issues. Lord give me strength because I want to give up. 😢
I'm with my girlfriend now. She too has an autistic son who requires much of her time and resources. Selfless is what she is You are amazing and not alone..🙏🏼 you
We at the John PauI II. Center in Vienna, Austria are big Bishop Barron fans. But this homily, in all its simplicity and directness, is truly one of your great ones. Thank you for continuing to underscore, again and again, the absolute uniqueness of the person of Jesus Christ.
This is the most beautiful advent homily I've listened to in years. Very insightful and rich with contrast! Thank you Bishop Barron for your teaching and witness.
What a powerful homily about John the Baptist and his relationship to God. Thank-you for this wonderful faith-filled sermon that explains the humility and understanding necessary for us to place ourselves in correct relationship to our divine God.
Bishop you delivered a banquet of delectable delight a truly joyous Gaudette Sunday Man does not live by bread alone ,,,, my soul is full of the Goodness and Grace of God , my deep thanks
In some dark times in my life, I have finally begun to have an inkling of how powerful it is to say, "Oh come Oh come Emmanuel, and ransom captive Israel."
Your Grace I didn't realise until listening to you just now that John the Baptist is the greatest man born of a woman that was not Jesus. He prepares for the coming of our saviour whose sandal strap I can't untie. I find you so helpful. I am crazy about bishops and Cardinals and drive them crazy in the UK. But forget that. I am beginning to see it is Jesus and not the religious or laity but Jesus Christ who is our saviour. I am not worthy. God bless Frances
Thank you so much Jesus for Bishop Barron for a wonderful sermon. Please Jesus give us your grace so we can prepare fully in this advent & everyday in this life.Amen
Thankyou for calling attention to profound humility as an aspect of Christianity. -In place to modify and correct concerns over a loss of reverence following the Second Vatican Council, in the 1960s.
O my LORD And my GOD...Lord Jesus Christ🙇♂️...What an impassioned Teaching...On THE TRUTH❣ Very dear Bishop Robert Barron: Reminded of what JESUS Said about NOT Worrying about what to say: Clearly, Your illustriously learned mind may well be part of it...yet, YOUR TEACHINGS CLEARLY ARE THE UTTERINGS OF,,THE "CONVICTING" BY THE HOLY SPIRIT...Using your 'adharangal' (using my native language)...Your Faculties...Thank you for This Wonderfully Eminent BLESSING✝️
My paternal nana was Catholic, and I was mainly raised with my maternal grandparents who were active mormons. I find many similarities in my scottish and maori heritage. And because of your teachings I gain insight to my nana eaglestone and her faith and also how the Catholic branch of religion may have appealed to her on a cultural level. I remember asking her in the 90's if she could speak scottish, she told me it was gaelic, however not many could speak the same tongue as her, cos it changed over time. I think i was 7yrs at the time. So, my sincerest thanksgiving to you bishop. God bless
Merci mille fois Bishop Barron! Thinking of you and my friend who was born in Valletta ,Malta but reared here by adoptive parents. He returns there and often talks about the famous painting of Caravaggio~ "The Beheading of St. John the Baptist!" He says a must see and it depicts this theme of John as a bearer of light with his style of Chiaroscuro in this painting and similar to how you so eloquently express this same theme with words in your sermon today! Passez un Joyeux Noel en famille Bishop Barron!
Thank Bishop Barron for your blessed homily today. About John The Baptist. We enjoyed listening to you and your talk about how we loved about the third week of Advent season and how we are waiting coming of Jesus Christ.
First time to listen 🎶 Your sermon just now Third Sunday of Advent... beloved Bishop Barron. Amazing and great Sermon..about St John the Baptist.. highly figure Human being on earth. He is a man..committed to our Lord Jesus . Thank you so much ! May God bless now & always..Amen+ ❤❤❤+
I feel for you, having seen what happened to one of your priests in Nebraska this morning. My apologies. I wish for you to brace yourself; and never lose sight of how loving God the Father is. So kind, and so patient he has been with me and I know he has been even more so for over 2000 years. You did a good job of showing the value of the Apostle's Creed, and hope you comprehend the wisdom behind Pope John Paul II's Letter to Families when he said the church starts between a man and a woman, grows into their family, and enters the community to serve.
❤this sermon…Saint John the Baptist has increasingly become one of my favorite Saints. From his birth to his death and everything in between. Thank you Bishop Barron. Merry Christmas to all!
Several points in this homily stand out to me: It's insightful to think that St. John the Baptist could have had a life of privilege as a temple priest, because that was his family heritage. Instead, he took on a different mission. Also, it's interesting to think that he oversaw ritual washings as temple priests would do, but for a different purpose And it's notable when Bishop Barron indicates that Jesus is not just another religious figure: Otherwise, Jesus would be like John. In fulfilling his purpose, John clearly points to Jesus as the One Who is to come, rather than presumptuously take that honor upon himself. Maybe that's why he deserved Jesus's declaration that he was the greatest born of woman.
Eloquent as always. Never thought much about John the Baptist until this sermon. When Jesus said he who would be last will be first in the Kingdom of Heaven, He must have been referring to people like John the Baptist. Humility in the purest form.
St. John the Baptist is my patron Saint and I pray to him regularly with tremendous results. I heard somewhere that when he was still in the womb of his mother, St. Elizabeth, that he was cleansed of original sin when Our Lady visited her to help with the birth. This would make perfect sense because everything Mary touched was pure. Bishop, your Excellency, what is your thought on this? I am Irish by birth but now I'm American through naturalization and my faith is very important to me.🇨🇮🙏🏼🙏🏼
*"Christianity is this religion of Grace, not of human accomplishment."* - BISHOP ROBERT BARRON
He is my patron saint! Make straight a highway for God!
Thank you Bishop Barron I love your sermon ,God bless you always ❤️
John prepared the way for Jesus Christ to come and save us. ❤ Thank you John for your devotion and sacrifice.
May God bless you Bishop Barron and keep your voice strong in proclaiming His Kingdom. God keep you in His grace. I pray all those who hear you will be moved by the Spirit to grasp the depth of God's love for us so we can praise Him for His goodness.
Please pray for me, please pray for the Syro Malabar Church. 🇻🇦

Thank you Bishop Barron, you always bring out a different dimension of scripture that is deep🙏

There's an honest perception of God that would make a Christian's positive perception of God an impossibility. The same goes for a Muslim.
Amen!🙏
Bishop Joseph Strickland is one crying out in the wilderness now 🤷♀️🙏🏻✝️
A bit too late though, unless he wants to build a new Church.
