Hello, I’ve lost 52 lbs in 6 months and completed my first ever 40 hr fast!🎊🎉
I eat a Keto diet, right now, following Dr. Mindy’s 3-3-1 strategy. But, I’m open to making it carnivore to see what happens.
Wow, that’s awesome...Congrats! Gives me hope because I’m still working on the last 10-15 lbs! They seem to be clinging on for dear life, so it’s like a jiggy dance here trying to shake them off. And then it’s like lose 1 lb gain 2; They must have some magnetic cling that just sticks right back on when you manage to pry them off. Aiya...
How awesome.. I just finished a 40 hour fast as well! Its challenging, great job
What is 3-3-1?
@@melissaandrews1603 Carnivore makes fasting Sooooooo much easier.
I lost 76 pounds in 5 months on my first attempt at Carnivore. It was way easier than Keto. I had zero cravings with Cv. With keto, i craved my addictions everyday. I was also able to do several fasts including a 16 fast with impressive ease :) I'm team Carnivore, but keto is cool too. The lectures from last year's CarnivoreCon blew my mind too 🧘🏽♀️
That’s amazing. I lost about 40lbs doing keto/ low carb. I felt great but gained it all back. I’m considering carnivore. What did your meals look like?
What supplements did you take on CV.
It's easier to cheat on Keto because you are still eating carbs.
76p 5 month!!! Loose skin?
@@khan7029 You don't need supplements at all on Cv. That is the nutrient density she was talking about in the video.
Been carnivore going on 3 months. Love it! I am type II and with fasting my glucose is falling fast. I also have insulin resistance. I am almost down one dress size. Taking minerals with my tea! Absolutely love these videos! Thanks Dr Mindy!😊
My heart murmur I had for 20+ years went away after my 3rd year of keto...I'm 55 years old and no medications! Down 70 pounds!
Thumbs up . Pleasantly surprised to hear you talking about Carnivore. Every time I try Keto I eventually find myself on a slipper slope
towards bad foods. To stay healthy and a good frame of mind I have to do Carnivore and Fasting. Thanks for covering this topic.
Same. When the question before I eat something is, "is this animal or not?" There's not a lot of wiggle room. With keto I find myself saying, "It's only X carbs, so I'm OK." which is quickly followed by stuffing my face with the entire container instead of just one serving. Carnivore doesn't have those slippery slopes.
Going mostly carnivore has helped me with the slippery slopes, any time I do have a cheat day I will have a keto meal.
For many like me carbs, nearly any level of carbs, is like crack. Fully addictive. I am thinking of carnivore for a while. Keto always leaves room for a keto sweet here or there. And everynow and then it sends me off the rails on a binge that takes weeks to recover from. I think the carb addiction doc has it right. Treat carbs like a recovering alcoholic treats whiskey. Abstinence
Well said, there are 2 types of dieters, abstainers and moderators. The diet advice is always to moderate, but for most people, like you and me, the only things that works is to abstain. I've been mostly carnivore (some occasional carbs like avocados, pumpkin and coffee!) for 6 months and no longer miss anything sweet at all. And, at 51, I have the best, leanest, most ripped body of my life :)
Self diagnosed carb addict here and I second that notion.
I’m actually employed at a drug/ alcohol treatment center and the patients marvel at how relatable I am in my personal experiences with addiction although I don’t partake in drugs or alcohol. I educate them that the drug of choice is a symptom of the real problem but not the actual problem.
At one point I lost over 60lbs on keto but it was short lived as I regained all of the weight again. Admitting I am a carb addict was key along with embracing the fact that moderation just doesn’t work for me. If I’m not completely abstinent then I will continue to yo-yo
I’m currently following the keto way of eating with plans on carnivore in the near future. Thank you for sharing your story.
Peace and blessings.
As somebody who has done both Keto and carnivore, I say Carnivore wins hands down. Keto just keeps teasing your cravings a little tickle at a time. Carnivore completely once and for all kills the cravings.
Same, I just started carnivore about two weeks ago. Then Easter came and I’m still bloated. I’m about to fast and start back.
I couldn't agree more. I have long thought that I have an addictive personality but now I know that my body is just reacting to excessive carb/sugar .
Youre a wonderful person Dr Mindy!!. You put so much time into helping people achieve full health. ❤
💙🙏 Thank you!
Yep I moved from keto LCHF to carnivore and was blown away with the improvements after just 1 week!
Dear dr Mindy, why not use all the willing people who watch your channel, and conduct the research with them? I always hear how there isn't enough research because the big pharma companies are not interested, however people like us are extremely interested. Perhaps it could also be crowd funded? Please consider it.
Dr Baker is crowd funding one now
I am attracted the words of doctor Mindy Pelz, Dennis Pollock and Jason fung and change my life styles
Also look up Dr. Sten Ekberg
I would recommend Dr Georgia Ede, Dr Paul Saladino, and Dr. Shawn Baker as well.
I tried Carnivore, it really helps with a lot of health issues, but it was so hard for me. I am not a big fan of meat. I missed all those yummy summer salads. It was very easy to fast on this diet because I hated to eat. I needed to change my outlook; eat to survive not to enjoy, which helped with the process. Try it if you are having issues, you have nothing to loose. Another thing I learned on the Carnivore. You must do this for at least 30 days or more. I feel I didn't see results until 3 weeks in. Also, let talk poop. It changes. You will not need to go every day. I was going 3-4 times a day on a plants diet to every 3 days. Give your microbiome time to change.
iv heard this before that you don't feel or see results until at least 3 weeks depending on person to person...But i hear its worth to "tough" it out to reap the rewards. I'm interested to know how long you have been doing this for, and are you still doing it...I have a lot of inflammation in my body, so i want to try it for health reasons, but loosing weight would be good to!
Whats your typical day of eating like? :)
Also, did you transition from keto to carnie or from standard American diet, thanks in advance!

@@lucyluu9202 You would make it fair to yourself if you tried carnivore for at least 60 to 90 days before deciding if it works for you.

Omg this is So Packed with fascinating new information for me that I have watched it twice today already. I am sure I’ll watch again. Thank you so much for this! Everything you’re saying, researching and sharing about carnivore is really exciting to me and is ringing bells.
Yes! Carnivore plus fasting are golden!
What method of fasting do you use & do you just eat to satiety? Do you have weight to lose & of so, did you begin to lose quickly?
Omad carnivore rocks! ✌2 yrs almost
@@PandaLAG Speaking for myself here, I usually have a 4-6 hour eating window, sometimes I have just one meal a day. 18 to 20 hour fast. I eat until satiated. (high fat helps) If just starting CD you will lose weight quickly, that however may be initial water loss. Use salt on your meat. You may suffer from diarrhea for a few days. The weight comes down, and the best part is that it stays down. Your body seems to be able to regulate hunger and tell you what it needs. I stick to eating ruminants and seafood.
Best part about carnivore is that we naturally fast because it's so very satiating
Intermittent fasting is always golden, no matter what lifestyle you are on.
I'm 77, been doing carnivore for 3 weeks. Looking forward to what happens.
Exciting!! Good for you!
I have maybe 5 lbs max to lose. I prefer keto with some healthy carbs every now and then (Dr Pompa). FOR ME, I sometimes cut to zero carbs temporarily. I personally don’t eat spinach or kale. I do agree with Deanna Mutzel who eats seasonally. This is what I do, not telling anyone else how to eat.
Yes, the key is whatever works for you to achieve your goals and be in a healthy state.
Same, I'm more ketovore. I eat more carnivore than keto. I love my weeks that I'm full on carnivore, but sometimes, I want a salad, peanut butter, greens, or jalopeno poppers. I eat more veggies during the summer and fall, because I garden, but winters are carnivorous.
Very excited to hear you talk about this! 🙌🏻😬🙌🏻😬
Hi Sarah! Yes, I'm so pleased that Dr. Mindy is getting on board. She has a large following who need to get this info.
Starting a 5 day carnivore today. Excited to see how it goes. Live all the info here
Thank you Dr Mindy. Everytime I am in a quandry about changing my Keto, there you are one step ahead with another very useful video. Thanks from UK!
Way easier to step over to carnivore from keto than to dive right into it from the SAD. The transition was seamless.
Thx ☺️
I’ve just started keto..
Plan after 2-3 weeks to veer rinto Carnivore
Great video Dr Mindy! I lost weight last year on keto, but not leaning heavily towards carnivore - hopefully gets me off of the plateau I've been on for many months.
I am 51 years old, in full menopause and had weight loss surgery six years ago. I tried the carnivore diet and it didn't help me at all, perhaps I was doing it wrong. I am following a ketobiotic diet and it is working very well for me. I just need to get in more water
I think keto biotic makes more sense. I love meat but it increases the inflammation in my joints every time I try to eat anything more than about 50 grams a day. I’m post menopause now and struggle with weight, RA and Lupus. The more “educated” I get with all this stuff, the more frustrated I get 😊
Alot of people don't realise you have to eat a lot of fat on carnivore. Not just protein. More fat than protein - 2:1.
Wow! Thank you! You just explained a big concern of mine as I have been leaning towards Carnivore. I mentioned to Carnivore you tuber that I wanted to ‘detox’ before I started the Carnivore lifestyle - she said that wasn’t necessary but, I didn’t understand why and that nagged away at me. You have broken it down for me and now I understand! Also learned a bit more about Collagen. I’m 51 and take a collagen supplement everyday. Did not know i was also getting it from my meats or that it’s was a prebiotic. Thank you for sharing this information!!
I have a question, to anyone in this channel that could help. When we start Keto, we are told to limit protein, because excess protein would increase the blood sugar. Being Carnivore, there is no way (I guess) that one eats only 50g of protein only. How should I balance these two information? Thank you !
variation is the key ........
"Excess" protein is only a problem in a carb burning metabolism. When you are fully carnivore, you can eat as much meat as you like. No measuring, weighing, etc. It is very freeing.
Just keep the fat in there. Listen to your body. I have been doing it for about a year, minus the covid bs for a few months, but I think that eating mostly red meat is key. And eat butter on your steaks or fatty steaks if you find you're extra hungry or tired or "craving". But no need to count grams of any kind, imo. Good luck!
Good timing. over the last year and a half I have been fasting and eating a salad, fruit and vegetable diet with a small amount of fish and meat for protein. In the last two months I worked my way up to OMAD, I lost 35LBS. OK,,,,,OK sounds VG. However lately I have been dizzy, feeling tired and slow. I went to the doctor and had blood work done, only to find out that my Hemoglobin and two other related indicators are down. I ate myself into anemia. As posted on Gilda's grave stone "it's always something" I just bought 3 steaks to eat over the next couple of days. Number 10 on the list, more iron in the diet to avoid anemia. Love your video's. A big sincere thanks for all the hard work, be forever healthy and mostly be HAPPY.
I will say that in some instances you can have high iron intake and low ferritin levels and low iron intake and high ferrotin levels. DR Paul Mason does go into details on this in one of his videos that can be various things like infections. More than likely it is not that but just be aware if more iron-rich sources of food is not helping that there can be other causes.
Same here. Then I began to make wild green smoothies out of steamed plants. Iron came roaring back mostly from the nettle content.
@@wisconsinfarmer4742 This may have worked for you but many people can't effectively convert the plant form of iron into heme iron. What is needed is a slab of liver pate not a nettle smoothie.
I love how you see the good in most all things. Great job, awesome segment...eye opener.
I am keto carnivore in that I also use coconut, MCT and ev olive oils as well as dairy. When I added these back in, I began to lose weight again and was able to sleep through the night as well as eliminate heartburn which I had on the standard carnivore diet.
Keto / carnivore since May 23rd, 2014.
Great topic, really enjoyed it. Just to mention while meat may have more bio available nutrients it doesn't necessarily have more nutrients. On carnivore I struggle to get 25% to 50% of the recommended daily intake for Calcium, Magnesium and potassium
Im down 133 lbs on keto, but stuck at 191 and been thinking about carnivore. This video is greatly appreciated, Dr Mindy!
I love watching you! Thanks!
Was 2MAD/Vegan (18/6 IF) for 2.5 years and got no results. Then went OMAD/KETO and was loosing muscle at an alarming rate while losing weight. My weight lifting strength went way down and I had significant hair loss, and felt week with any exertion. After switching to OMAD/Carnivore, my muscles are recovering rapidly along with strength. I think my hair is growing back too. IMO the standard OMAD/KETO is simply too low on protein to avoid muscle loss...which at age 65 I don't want. 2MAD/KETO seems necessary to get the needed proteins. Note: I was also doing weekly 48's and monthly 72's. I was getting too little protein.
Yes, you were getting too little protein and probably not enough food in general. Keto does such a good job of killing your appetite that a lot of people under-eat. Particularly if you are very active and working out which it sounds like you are. Under eating is great if you are trying to lose weight but to make muscle gains, you need to EAT.
…I’m confused on one point... on the keto diet we are told to keep protein down so we don’t gain weight so how are we able to lose weight on the carnivore diet which is all protein....
I'm very curious about this as well. My thinking is we don't make a steady diet of this. Probably just work it in our rotation. But how often?
People lose weight on other diets that are not keto. Weight Watchers, for instance, is carb heavy on fruit, and moderate protein and lower fat. Low calorie diets will get you to lose weight, but on both these you are hungry and the cravings are still there. You don’t get the benefits of the carnivore or the keto diet, just the losing weight part.
Keep the carnivore diet ketogenic high fat to keep the insulin spikes at bay. Red meat does tend to spike insulin so keep the fat high. You’ll only tend to want to eat one to possibly two meals a day with this way of eating. If your metabolic system is healthy, you will lose fat and gain muscle mass.
very few carnivores eat 'high' protein for long periods. We normally target fat rich foods such as fatty meats (cuts like rib eye/fillet, lamb chops etc) these are usually 1g protein to 1g fat in a normal sense. Some carnivores feel better going for 2g fat instead of 1g per 1g of protein which would make this very ketogenic. Eggs are another example of roughly 1g fat to 1 g protein (more so if you eat the yolks and ditch the egg white). From a Macro perspective 1:1 is 4:9 or 31:69 energy protein to fat whereas 1:2 is 18:82 protein to fat for energy..
What confuses people is that 200g of steak is not 200g of protein. Availability changes on whether it was cooked, how long it was cooked and even the type of animal it came from. At a basic level meat like beef gives about 20g or protein per 100g of muscle meat. Chicken breast on the other hand gives roughly 25g per 100g..... but as I said these values will change with cooking.
I think carnivores don't eat a lot.only until satisfaction. And I think we can eat a bit more than same people saying too.
Thank you Doctor Mindy
So we are finally back to meat and fish, after testing vegan and keto 😆
I actually gained weight on Keto, also increased Cholesterol. I now believe weight goes with calorie surplus or deficit. As fat is calorie dense, it is hard to control weight unless you fast. So why not just practice all kinds of fasting.
Actually the best comment Dr. Mindy put out there was our bodies get used to a certain way of eating and it has less and less affect on it. So it's good to add carnivore into the rotation of foods we eat ..
Cholesterol... There's a little more to it than that. You may scare some people with that comment 😁 Calories surplus and deficit may put you in a race with metabolism. I can't speak to your experience but don't put a bow on keto with your unexplained results. People tell me to stop doing keto because it causes heart attacks then offer me a Coke.
When you said your cholesterol increased, are you talking total cholesterol. For me, my total cholesterol increased but my HDL and triglycerides are the best they've ever been in over 50 years of blood tests. The marker for heart attack risk is a ratio of hdl to trig, Ldl is not even calculated. You can gain weight on any diet if you eat too many calories, too much processed food, sugar and sugar substitutes and for me too much protein, I have to include goid fats. After a 6 month stall, I had to give up (again) diet sida, quest bars and all sugar substitutes. I also reduced my cheese. Im 4 pounds from my first goal - inch by inch.
Been switched to carnivore for 7months and doing much much better. No more keto junks: almond flour, keto sugars etc.
What is a typical evening meal for you?
Meat with a side of meat or eggs
@@ninawildr4207 I do a lot of Surf 'n 'Turf meals like a steak with salmon or ribs with scallops.
I am almost 3 weeks carnivore minus 20 carbs max a day. I SLEEP SO MUCH BETTER.
fantastic! 🙌
Dr. Mindy, what about people with high cholesterol for a carnivore diet?
Did the carnivore strictly today ! Will check scale tomorrow
Increasing my protein to goal weight on keto didn’t work for me like I tried once before. I gained weight. It gets stored as fat👎
Thank you so so much - brilliant videos and fantastic information
@@DrMindyPelz Wow thank you for replying to me ... I am loving your videos and I am sharing them with all my friends in England- I have already subscribed a while ago and bought both Carnivore books that you recommended. The Carnivore cookbook is brilliant and so easy to read.
I think carnivore only works if you eat good quality organic grass fed meat. I can’t see how you can gain all the nutritional benefits by having battery farmed chicken for example. The quality of what you consume is really important.
Most of the long term carnivores 10+ years do not bother with grass finished meat (Facebook group Zeroing in on Health) . They say buy the meat you like and can afford, eat meat when hungry, drink water when thirsty, repeat as needed. The actual nutrients in beef grain vs grass finished are not appreciably different. If you really want some omega 3, eat some fatty fish, this may actually be worth choosing the wild caught variety. I am able to find wild caught frozen salmon for similar or less price as the "fresh" (was probably frozen then thawed) farmed salmon at the fish counter. I need it frozen anyway due to histamine intolerance. These zero carb /carnivore veterans have regained health and achieved a normal weight eating regular meat from the grocery store. There may be some that buy grass finished beef or other pastured meat/eggs some or all of the time, but it seems more an exception than the the the rule and it is a personal choice for ethical reasons, taste, or because perhaps they have a specific medical condition that responds better (eg some people can eat pastured eggs or yolks but not tolerate conventional CAFO eggs or yolks, but you cannot make a blanket statement that all eggs are bad just because there are some people that cannot tolerate any at all.)
You would regain health anyway just by dropping refined carbs and you can achieve that with Keto as well. Healthy Keto focuses on nutritional density. In that respect I think the quality of the meat you eat on a carnivore diet, whether that’s fish, chicken, red meat etc is really important.
Eating Walmart beef in a tube is miles better for you than eating pizza and soda. Eating all grass fed is an optimization tweak you can add later if you like or not.
I'm confused.. until the other day it seemed that keto was the bible and it has been underlined that proteins had to be moderate as through glutoneogenesis they turn into glucose! And now it seemed that we should have t-bone steak even for breakfast! From an exaggeration to the other..... this is why I keep on believing that MODERATION is the key. Not only different people say different things but also the same people.... it's confusing...
'moderation' and 'balance' are fairly toxic words, this was how they sold us poor diets in the first place. Keto diet limits protein as it can also spike insulin, which will kick you out of ketosis. The thing is that if you eat less often, as many carnivores find they do, then this spike in insulin is only temporary with still many of the benefits of the keto diet. There is no individual perfect diet for all... some thrive on a all-meat diet or perhaps another might do better with some small amount of plants thrown in staying closer to keto. Look for what is individually appropriate rather than 'moderation' for the sake of it.
Gluconeogenesis is demand driven that has been proven, I suppose not going high protein with keto is a priority but as long I keep carbs low I don't over think it 😊 there's many fatty meats as well so I would think most who follow carnivore can keep a balance between fat and protein. We just gotta experiment and find what works for us.
@@scottw2317 with moderation I mean that nothing has to be forbidden nor a strict must have. On a regular basis I'm on a low carb high fat without any obsession. Today I'll have also a cup of organic whole black rice with cheese and walnuts and extravergin olive oil for example and certainly my net carbs will be over 50gr. No problem. I enjoy a steak or a fillet once a month with a good glass of red wine or a pizza, let's say, every couple of months. I don't forbid myself anything and enjoy my meals and my life. I'm 51 in premenopause and 50 kg since when I was 20... I don't like sweet food and don't have them but if I did I'd probably have some every now and then because I believe that being too strict is frustrating and frustration leads to stress and cortisol... and insulin. This is what I mean with moderation.
@unionjackess I'm glad you have find your "tailored dress" and you feel good. Everyone has his own and the lucky ones are those who find what works for them.
@@rayr8530 totally agree: what works for us.
Too many proteins turn out to glucose anyway.... once that the body has used them for plastic functions the rest become new glucose.... and end up in to fat cells if not used as energy.
I had pretty severe IBS. Since I follow a ketogenic diet with veggies limited to 150-200g/day I have no more problems with digestion and can sleep again. I am also a fitness athlete, training 6 times a week with higher intensity. So far (4 weeks now), it works (with initial "weakness" during adaptation). I hope I won't lose muscle mass over time (gluconeogenesis?).
Since Carnivore and Keto and water fasting all increase growth hormone you should see an increase in muscle mass.
@@jaydemcconnell8736 Yes, before they invented steroids, some of the most elite bodybuilders ever were on the "steak and eggs" diet. We are talking the 1950's.
Why with keto diet they will tell you to limit the protein intake because it will become carb vs carnivore you can eat as much as you want meat and you still can loose wait ,it’s very confusing 😏

Hi dr Mindy, could you please talk about plant based keto? I was keto for 2 years then went carnivore for a month but my kidneys ached non stop from too much protein. I have recently gone whole plant based to support my son who has cancer. I am managing to keep carbs low enough to continue losing weight and feel fantastic. It's definitely an option. Legumes are mostly indigestable fibre and very satisfying.
I been on carnivore little over 2yrs and I didnt have weight to lose I did it for gut health which helped almost healed my gut but last few months I had stressful event and I found my self that I couldn't tolerate stress like I used to.i fee I lost my ability to manage stress. Things that never used to bother me before now it does stress the hell out of me and my sleep is gone really bad. I couldnt sleep for days unless I used magnisium or herbs for sleep.i feel have anxiety which I never had. I'm trying to bring little carbs back in to my diet. Raw honey and raw milk didnt help me at all. I do try fruit nowadays. So I dont know time will tell.
I think we have all been feeling a bit overstressed lately. It might not have anything to do with your diet.
Speaking for myself, I find that being carnivore makes me more emotionally resilient. Stuff is going to happen in every life but how you react is up to you.
Given that you didn't have weight to lose at the start, I am concerned that you might not be eating enough FOOD in general and fat in particular. When you are zero carb, you rely on fat for energy. If you don't have a bunch in storage on your rear, you need to eat more.
Can you have eggs on carnivore? Butter? Any added oils?...I am confused about what is considered OK. Or just strictly meat, fried or cooked in their own fat?
Check out Dr. Ken Berry's videos on carnivore. Any animal or animal products are encouraged. Eggs butter some cheese (of course grass fed grass finished are the best) olive or avocado oils are great.
Animal kingdom only. Eggs and butter are fine. Olives and avocados (nor their oils) are not carnivore diet material.
Fish is included

ANY SUGGESTIONS??? THANK YOU!
Look for Dr. Mindy videos on fasting and boosting your immune system. You might find those helpful for getting off the thyroid meds. Good luck!

Hi Dr. Mindy thank you so much for always sharing great info to the world. I'm on Day 2 of the Carnivore journey. I've been doing both Keto and IF for more than a year. Do you know if Carnivore or any other type of fasting would help with any neurological disorders? I've been officially diagnosed last year with Essential Familial Tremors. I've had hand tremors for more than 20 years. It has gradually gotten worse over the years which is the main motivation of why I started Keto. It has helped me with my tremors for about the first 6 months but the benefits had stop about there after. Please Dr. Mindy or anyone else who can help to let me know what would be the best approach to deal with these tremors. Thank you ❤️

Hey it would be nice if you could make a video about fasting and what kind of benefits it has on the mitochondria and for how long. I could not find something in the web
Hi Laura, Dr Mindy speaks about the ways to boost mitochondrial function in many of her videos. For instance, this one on being Metabolically Flexible as some great tips. Fasting creates ketones, mitochondria love ketones. Fasting lowers inflammation. Here is another good video by Dr Mindy on helping the liver's mitochondria. FASTING helps with each of these issues. ruclips.net/video/i0l-qnLl6bQ/видео.html
@@debbiedrmindy1338 Hey Debbi, Thank you for the prompt answer but I have a mitochondria dysfunction after I took levofloxacin. Anyway, this is the reason that I am not sure if i don't do myself harm if I push the bad and damage mitochondria right now when I take "mitochondria-pusher-supplements"
That was the reason i wanted to know for how long and how strong the mitophagy is running when I am fasting. I think this one of the best solutions to get rid of the pool of damage mitochondria right now.
I could not find something by myself
Mediterranean keto for me! 🍋🍓🍅🥬🥦🥒 😇
Can you share whgat you eat?
People who have blood type O were made to eat meat. They process meat well! And often prefer raw vegetables.
Really? Sometimes I’d rather not have meat and definitely don’t prefer raw veggies. This is interesting.
Carnivore isn’t just meat. It’s fish and poultry too.
OMG! That is so right.
J . True , but they are still protein .
Thats me
Day 1, 24 hour fast had a good size steak, tomorrow will do 16 hour, with fish
🙌
Carnivore diet makes me very constipsted, which went away when i added fibre back to my diet...
Thanks for the video, but I have HER2 metastasis breast cancer ,, heard on other videos that to much protein is not good ?
Watch dr. keesha, she healed from her cancer ....
Too much insulin spikes insulin. That's all. Just eat a moderate amount of fatty protein, or any other protein, and add the fat - butter, ghee etc. 2:1 is the average ratio. High fat, moderate protein and IF ❤️
Cancer's favorite food is sugar. Give it zero by going carnivore and you will make your body a cancer-unfriendly zone. Starve the buggers out. (I say this as a breast cancer survivor with love and hugs.)
I did carnivore for months. I lost 20 pounds on the front end, then it stopped. And nothing else changed for me. Eventually, I felt my body starving for some green life, a salad or smoothie. I soon developed such a meat aversion I can hardly stomach even a bite or two of ground beef. I'm currently doing very pure whole foods, no grains, ketovore if you will. But I'm not planning to go back to just meat. I feel much better, have more energy and my mind says I am giving my body what it needs-not just meat.
🙌💙
What do you think of Walter Longo's views (based on centurion studies) that the sweet spot for fasting is 13-15 hours and going longer or shorter both cause health issues?
Hi Stacy, Nice question. Follow this link to see Dr Mindy's Fasting Benefits Chart - drmindypelz.com/fasting_chart_op/
Here is a RUclips she did in February 2020, which explains that at the time of V. Longo's research, he did not believe people were willing to fast longer. There is great proof, clinical as well as scientific that longer periods of fasting are good for health. ruclips.net/video/TM-itsAzNow/видео.html

Hi Doc. If diagnosed with estrogen dominance. Would carnivore still be considered?
How many pounds have you lost if...?
What diagnosis tells estrogen dominance? Can you have it post menopause?
Dr. Mindy. Been on the ketogenic lifestyle for about 68 days. I have removed 34lbs. I have also been doing a 20-4 IF. I am rarely hungry. 6 years ago I had gastric sleeve surgery. I would really like to try the conivor diet with fasting. I am looking to lose about 30 more pounds. Can I switch back and forth between keto and conivor? If so how long should I be on one before changing. Thanks for all the great information
@@DrMindyPelz Thank you Mindy for the information. And thanks for taking the time to reply. I am sure you have a lot too reply too.

I will buy bifido once I run out of my current probiotics.
Dr. Mindy my mother is 77 yrs with RA and a myriad of other health issues. Also losing weight and is down to 99 lbs. I plan on putting her on Carnivore but will she continue to lose weight? She's down to such a low weight now. I don't want her to lose but gain weight. Please advise.
Hi there, we cannot speak specifically about your mother because we do not know her medical history or her myriad of health issues.
However, did you know you can keyword search Dr. Mindy's RUclips channel? Here's a play list of Dr. Mindy's teaching videos about "carnivore". Grab a pen and notebook- Happy Learning! 💙Dr. Mindy's Team

P.S. If someone does not want to lose weight, do shorter fasts, fast less often and in your eating window focus on nutrient dense foods with plenty of healthy fats.
Is there any way, I could talk to or email Dr Mindy? I would deeply appreciate her advice on the right path for me and where to start after not making much progress with GI doctors. I’d love to give her a brief history of my GI health and go from there. I listen to her wonderful videos and am just on information overload and not sure where to start. We moved to Nebraska just over a year ago and need to find a GI doc yet a part of me thinks perhaps I should start with maybe a gut zoomer test, experimenting with carnivore and see what kind of results I get with that before seeing a GI doc?
Did she ever answer the question?
I would love to look at this WOE more closely, but where to start?
Facebook group Zeroing in on Health moderated by people eating this way 10-13 years. Great resource!
@@ClaireSutton7 Yes, one of that group, Kelly Hogan, has a great site of her own. If you want actual MDs, I would suggest Georgia Ede, Paul Saladino, Ken Berry, and Shawn Baker.
im curious about high cholesterol and clogging the arteries?
Can't do the carnivore because I now have CKD stage 3a, so it's keto for me
Me too
you could conceivably aim for high fat carnivore which would have your macros similar to keto. For example throwing away the whites of eggs would give 20% protein 76% fat and 4% carb return. Aiming for more fats using carnivore might restrict what you can have (unless dairy is involved then it ends up super easy but it can cause its own issues), but it is still possible.
My mom withe CKD 3b had her creatinine improve from 1.65 to 1.1 on carnivorish diet (eats a plant a couple of times a month). No reason to fear the meat.
Please check out Dr Ken Berry's video on the kidneys before you make that assumption, Jeffry.
@@robinbeers6689 just got my blood work back...on keto my gfr dropped from 50 to 46, my creatinine when up, my BUN dropped slightly as did UREA...So back to drawing board...one good note was my A1C was 5.1
Is there a companion guide for the carnivore fast training week you did? I have been rooting around a bit and no luck so far. Were there other videos from the week that are not on this playlist of 7?
What’s a leaky gut? 3:00 And the other thing dr Mindy says right after?
Metabolic reset please!
Metibolic reset. I can see how the carnivore diet would be a variation to those on the keto diet. After doing the carnivore diet for awhile,, i imagine routine sets in again snd many oeople would eat the same thing.

What about collagen supplement?
WHile one can get collagen from foods (membrane between shell and egg are collagen) Dr Mindy recommends this brand, revelationhealth.com/products/systemic-formulas-613-collagen-ecm-543g/?afmc=pelz&
Did carnivore for 3 months and now my stomach is a mess 😫
@Pelz. Can we have some amount berries like strawberries and blueberries on Keto?
yes
No, the carnivore police are going to raid your house and confiscate your carnivore card if one berry is sighted. JK.
ON KETO YES CARNIVORE NO
So nervous about both since the one of the autoimmune conditions I need to cure is alopecia associated with thyroid dysfunction. Doesn’t keto and carnivore make your hair fall out from the stress? How do you avoid that?
Stress will be gone once u start carnivore It will definitely help u
In your opinion, do you think Carnivore or Keto is best for someone who has Fibromyalgia and eats a high carb diet?
Hello Ryan, Debbie w/Dr Mindy's team. This platform is for general education and Dr Mindy has just begun her research in the carnivore category. We cannot give advice on in depth medical issues to anyone not a client of our clinic as there are many factors to consider. Everyone is unique and different in their needs and goals. Dr Mindy recommends diet variations to learn how your own body responds. See this video - ruclips.net/video/AgDKBnXISzo/видео.html Many autoimmune conditions are due to chronic inflammation, lowering it is important. There is a guy from New Zealand named Bart Kay who has a carnivore website you might like. He cured his own fibromyalgia on a carnivore diet.
Can elderly people go on this diet?
I couldn't see why not. Especially as you get older your ability to get protein out of your food and utilise it drops you actually need to ingest more. Dr Shaun Baker's dad is in his 70s and went on it awhile back with no issues I believe and in our carnivore discord we have plenty of 50+ year olds who thrive on it. Still do what you feel individually best on.
I’m 65 started carnivore 7 months ago lost 35lbs never felt better...and I’m diabetic almost off all insulin but I go between carnivore and keto now. I do better when I do all carnivore, time for me to do full carnivore again.
Sure, if anything older people need this diet more than others. Muscle wasting is a big problem in the elderly. You need plenty of amino acid building blocks to keep sarcopenia at bay.
Hello. What's the difference between carnivore and Atkins? They both seem similar. But Atkins became unpopular in the end...
Carnivore is ONLY animal products with healthy fats and oils from animals. NO seed oils (No bad one's:canola, safflower, sunflower, grapeseed, peanut etc). No counting carbs, no food from any group other than animal. See Maria Emmerich or Dr Ken Berry for the truth of Carnivore. See this - ruclips.net/video/GvE5M02gzEs/видео.html
Dr MIndy recommends diet variation - ruclips.net/video/AgDKBnXISzo/видео.html
Atkins was high meat, bad oils, and some carbohydrates. It has been proven the WORST thing for health is to add refined carbohydrates fruit, grains, nuts & seeds (unlimited) with bad oils/fats.
Please, someone can tell me about constipation on carnivore. Struggle ish as it is with keto 🤔🤓
Thank you .
more water. Body weight /2 tells you how many oz per day to drink. If you weigh 200 lbs, then you need to drink 100 oz of water every day. You might not need to go every day either.
Most people with constipation (and other GI issues) find relief after removing plants and fiber (after an adjustment period). Dr. Paul Mason has a good lecture on this. Eat meat when hungry. Drink water when thirsty. I think a person's body is smarter at knowing how much one needs to eat and drink than we give it credit for. When you eat proper human food rather than processed food crap the hunger and thirst signals work properly.
I went from vegan to carnivore after my kidneys started failing on all the high oxalate veg. Your system will adjust. You don’t need the fiber. You don’t need to be in the restroom all the time. Carnivore has healed me and given me a new, healthy life.
If you are constipated on carnivore it is because you are not eating enough fat. Also, don't confuse not needing to poop all the time with being constipated. Carnivore is the ultimate low residue diet. There is no benefit to producing lots of poop from fiber that is not doing the body any good. The purpose of digestion is the extraction of nutrients, not the production of poop.
Thank you everyone for replies, much appreciated.
I’d like to try the carnivore diet for a month but it’s too expensive eating good quality meat.
The good thing is you lose your appetite, well actually you’re just completely satiated, that you don’t eat even a quarter of what you would have before.
It's not as expensive as you think it is.
@@No_Frills_Carnivore I agree. I even find it cheaper. I only eat once a day. I don't waste a bunch of food on spoilage. And I am not wasting money on Jamba Juice smoothies and frappuccino's.
I've been keto for a year with no wt loss. Love the clear head and feeling. I'm OMAD for 6 months. Going to try carnivore for weight loss. On day3 of carnivore no weight loss. I eat 1 dark chocolate piece of chocolate a day, is that a problem?
If you been on keto for a year and haven't lost any weight, you are definitely eating non keto foods.
I came to carnivore for the meat. I stayed for the health.
Awesome!
I like your shirt. It’s beautiful. Can I ask where you got it❤️❤️

I have been carnivore since last summer, and my recent gut testing showed only 0.013٪ of Bifidobacterium. I eat about 1# of beef protein most days or at least 100 grams towards macros. How can I increase these bacterium for better weight loss results I wonder 🤔
Do you feel that transitioning from keto to carnivore is an easier way to do carnivore? I would think so cause you have already been doing those first 4 steps that you mentioned.
I found it an easy transition to go from keto to carnivore. I love it.
Yes, it is much easier going through keto. I had zero transitional issues.
