Colong Foundation for Wilderness AGM Keith Muir Farewell

Keith Muir outlines a dramatic effort in wilderness conservation during his directorship of the Colong Foundation for Wilderness. For an extensive period from the mid 1980s through to 2020 Keith was a significant force in Wilderness conservation in Australia and oversaw a significant expansion in the protection of wilderness. The formalisation of wilderness through the NSW Wilderness Act occurred during this period, the declaration of areas under this Act and the declaration of the Blue Mountains as World Heritage.
