As a Viper connoisseur I would advise shifting when the rev bar is above the recommended gear roughly for best speed

@@mc_remzky7559 I like to not qualify for the first few days and then set better times throughout the week so I can change up it. Otherwise I get a bit bored of doing the same races. But it's definitely more fun and less stressful starting from the back

A small tip for the Viper: It has a lot of power in lower revs so it's really easy to exit corners in higher gears with it. Also the optimal shift point is around 80% of the bar :)
I was wondering if someone was gonna mention this. This car has such little power towards peak RPM's.

With the viper you should not out rev it. Shift way earlier. You can see on the straight from 5th to 6th you hardly accelerated on the end of 5th gear and started to accelerate in 6th. I ussualy shift the viper when the rev bar is above the recommend gear indicator. Its an low rev big v10! Besides that awesome racing keep it up!
Yeah the viper and the mustang like to be slightly short shifted, but also that means you can get away with lower rpm pulls out of corners, saving a gear change.

I was thinking about this earlier when I was watching one of your videos when you done qualifying, disconnected before the race start then had to redo qualifying. It seems so long every game, but it makes the game pretty cool to me.

Great vid as always, also I believe short shifting the viper is more efficient, it’s one of those weird cars. If you shift up early it is actually quite quick in the straights

For as much as I enjoy watching you race online, I hope GT7 has a proper single player campaign. I don't have the money, space or time to commit to a wheel rig and I'm nowhere near as good on the controller as I used to be. I've embarrassed myself, shunting folks into the Shadow Realm (TM) because of my shoddy car control.

Pole is still ideal, especially on this track, you can stay ahead, midpack yeah, may as well start in the back, BUT you don't get jack for ANYTHING except top 3, it doesn't matter if you gain 10 spots or 12, there's no increase in your DR.
You should do a throwback video to an old Need for Speed game like Underground. I know you mentioned it one time, but it would be hilarious.
Oddly enough, I used the DBR9 for race C, And I always go with the Aston Martin at Fuji. Works shockingly well everytime. Gotta race it clean but def my rec for this race. 👌

I tried starting last in last week's race, and I got demoted from my S SR rank all the way down to a B because someone crashed into me which ended up in a huge crash for everybody and of course I got the penalty and the biggest SR drop. I blame you, Steve.

I tried the ´pit on lap 4 for softs´ strat twice, twicd my tyres were completely shot at the end of the race they were like 1/4 full and 3/4 red xD next 3 races went from med to softs (lap 6-9) won all 4 of them (i´m a B & S btw)
Things I'm not ready to process today. My therapist quit, the viper isn't good in a straight line, drinking before 3 pm does make me an alcoholic.

Man I was about to win my first ever race in that Tundra race but the guy in second place had other plans…so he rammed me on the decline and the Tundra, being a heavy truck with bad handling, spun out and I ended up in 5th place…then I tried to get back and got rammed again and rage quit. It’s really annoying.

GT7 multiplayer - 1) I want ability to make small tuning adjustment to cars to match driving style or race. Maybe a few downforce adjustments, damper settings, and for sure the diff. Not the super small adjustments you can make offline, but at least something. 2) They need to update Gr3 and Gr4 cars. For one example, the 488 GT3 replaced the 458 in 2016! Because of BOP, I’d think manufacturers would be happy to provide whatever info needed to minimize the work needed to add more of these cars. 3) Create more smaller race series that reward participation so leagues don’t die. I am in the US and think a US championship would be awesome with smaller championships building up to it.
Damn, but that is a long straight. Almost long enough to hop out of the seat, do some ninja rolls/acrobatics on a chin-up bar, and then get back behind the wheel.

I mainly just hope they still have the GT Sport mode. If not, I can only hope they make GT Sport 2 or something. The allure of GT now for me is the actual structure the Sport mode provides.
Every other sim racing game is great, but it's hard to get into the multiplayer aspect of them since there's no official multiplayer structure usually.
But, it would be nice if there were tournaments. Maybe not globally, but something of a mini FIA race would be good. Maybe weekly tournaments of some sort.

I said on your GT7 trailer video that I have a hunch that they keep GT Sport running for the time being and GT7 is pretty much only single player. Would be weird, but the PS4 release of GT7 is also pretty weird.

Good racing today. I would have expected the Viper to be stronger on speed/acceleration and weaker on handling. Who would have thought?
I honestly don't think we have seen multiplayer for GT7 because it's not going to be much different, if different at all than what we have in GT Sport. I'd like to be wrong, but I'm getting a feeling that we are in for more of the same. Even including the horribly flawed penalty system. Fingers crossed I'm not right, but without any other information, I have no reason to believe it will be any different. The cars will also likely feel the same.
