I visited Hatfield House two years ago. The house was amazing and all the staff were really welcoming and very helpful. However, looking back, the Rainbow Portrait certainly stole the show. Many thanks for this exceptionally interesting broadcast.

Very nice episode. I loved the discussion about symbolism in the Royal portrait.

    Hi Philippa!
    Loved your Rainbow Portrait talk.
I heard or read somewhere that the eyes and ears represented Cecil and Dudley as those were her nicknames for the two gentlemen.
So great to see you! Lynn Glenn

I’d never heard about the mouths on the fabric! Elizabeth sees all, hears all, and speaks all truth or what she speaks is law? The altar cloth is also stunning. Thank you Philippa!
