      @@VanillaRunner you may be better off paying VW workshop their actual bill. Pl d not forget simple interest of 7% on the advance payment to VW. Once you factor this, you will find virtually no difference in the package and per service cost.

    • @CarsPlusBikes
      @CarsPlusBikes  7 месяцев назад

      Thank You sir @sbasu5859 for this input! Yes in the end there is no difference in buying a Service value package vs paying for each service as inflation & Simple interest of 7%will cancel out each other!
      But if someone is getting SVP as a discount while buying the new car, then go for it because it is eventually an actual discount.
      and if you have to buy the SVP manually, then you may or may not buy because this will be a no profit, no loss situation.

    Nice info. One advantage of service value package is it protects from inflation rates of all products and consumables. This is confirmed. If svp is not taken products might get costlier over 10 years due to inflation.
    Also, is this service cost on higher side compared to other brands?

    • @VanillaRunner

      Hi Sumeet,
      Thanks a lot for highlighting the inflation point. Svp is a great saver against inflation!
      As compared to Hyundai or Maruti, it is probably 30% more costly but considering the quality of vw cars, it’s still worth it!

      @@CarsPlusBikes sir, if you were in my place and travel alone...would you go in for a vw virtus or a Tata nexon.
      Points to consider for me
      1long term usage and no rusting
      2 build quality.
      3 reliability.
      4 incase of a brake down...good rsa and service back up
      5 refinement
      6 I'm weary of the 3 cylinder petrol engine of tata. Today though i sat in the bs6 phase 2 variant and the vibration on idling was almost next to none..even on start up...but can it take the endurance drives that I do..for example I have driven my safari 3 litre non stop from banhihal pass in Kashmir to ajmer in Rajasthan with no over night stop for 30.5 hrs, rested a day and then drove ajmer to Mumbai non stop. When going I drove Mumbai Jaipur non stop in extreme heat, I didn't even have to top of coolant on return to Mumbai after close to 7k kms in 16 days in extreme conditions on a 2006 VX MODEL, this is there on my channel.
      So do you think the 3 cylinder vw or nexon can take this?
      Or should I consider the nexon 4 cylinder diesel?

    • @CarsPlusBikes
      @CarsPlusBikes  Год назад +1

      Based on the requirements you mentioned, virtus will do everything better than nexon! Virtus is extremely capable and rugged, rusting is not even a concern for virtus ! Only advantage of nexon over virtus is higher ground clearance, so in extremely bad roads nexon will go easily as compared to virtus! GC of virtus is also not bad but definitely less than nexon! If I was in your place, I would have gone for Virtus or taigun 1.0 3 cylinder engine instead of nexon! This is purely my opinion, and I do not mean that nexon is a bad car, nexon is also a good car but it’s all about personal choice and preferences!
      But my vote in given scenarios wil go to virtus/taigun!

    • @krisdiaries07
      @krisdiaries07 Год назад

      @@CarsPlusBikes that was a conclusive reply. Appreciate it. Taigun is also roughly 180 or 188mm in terms of gc.
