Honda City MT and CVT, there is a significant difference in 0-100 acceleration timings which is at least 1 second. It is not a small difference. I don’t agree to all of ur points…reliability can be debate able but to give u a better idea vw/Škoda offer 2 year extension for warranty to safeguard against high maintenance also 1.0 tsi being made locally won’t hurt the pockets plus it pretty much reliable just check out 5-6 year old polos they are running pretty good…and one thing is for sure 1.5 NA engine of city won’t keep long in competition coz every company is now providing turbo engine so soon or later city will face the heat

@@snehalsinha you can hear quite a bit of engine and road noise especially above 2500 rpm. Sometimes that engine sound can be thought of as sporty, but, there are times I find it just noisy (this is more so if you are buying the cvt automatic)

The 9 array headlights are a pain!! They keep jumping up and down while driving on each and every even smallest of bumps. This is a major fault in the car and the company does not want to do anything about it. Its a headache to drive the car at night
Honda city is king of Sedan no one can take her place they way city has performed is outstanding. Now honda needs to introduce one SUV to compete Creta and seltos they have HRV way better than Creta and seltos only difference is HRV not yet launch in India
Hi, I hope your car has tyres of dimensions 185/55 R16. So, I just want to know if you face any issues with them. I observed not so good feedback, so I just want to know your experience.
1.0 litre TSI is coming in Polo since 2020, so it is not a new engine anymore. 1.5 and 1.0 both are available across the globe so their quality is not questionable
The intensity is good till a short distance. The problem is the throw is not very long so visibility in terms of distance is very limited. If you do a lot of highway travel in night, you will need to upgrade the fog lamps to projector HID, because you cant do anything about the LED setup in the headlamps.
No bro, i don't agree with you maybe it good for you but salvia is better because of 1. Better ground clearance 2. Better info entertainment system 3. Powerful engine 1.5tsi 4. Better sound system 5. Better at high speed, feel planted 6. Other like ventilated seat, better lights Edit: also i love city but rational thinking make more sense then, giving excuses
1. Better Ground Clearance, is of practically no use because of the longer wheelbase of the sedan. Plus 179mm ground clearance will surely take away some of the driving pleasure of a low slung sedan. It is simple physics. Lower the Center of Gravoty, better the stability. 2. Infotainment System : The 10inch infotainment system you are talking about has been removed from the slavia in the most recent update. Now you get a 8 inch unit sourced from panasonic, just like the City. So no plua points for slavia here as well. 3.That 1.5 litre powerful TSI engine costs you about 23 lacs on road. And it is a new born baby right now, you dont know how it will fare in the future. How will be the service, how will be the reliability. Performance is not the only parameter for the judgement of an engine. 4. Better sound system. The subwoofer has been removed from the slavia in the recent update, so no better sound system. 5. Ventilated seats are the only plus point in the slavia, but the city get lane watch camera, which is much more useful feature than ventilated seats. City also has one touch up and down for all the windows, you can start the car remotely using the key etc etc. Hope it helps you
Adding to that, the Slavia's n virtus' ventilation in seats is not powerful, I have tested them on a drive, didn't feel it existed. No doubt slavia/virtus have a nice ride n handling balance, with punchy engine, 1.5 tc engine would obviously be better than the 1.5 na of City, but this is the segment where one needs to buy wisely, since this price segment i.e.15lacs has sedans, SUVs, SUVs under 4m. So end of the day, what the buyer needs matters the most. Plus there is difference in sitting posture in sedans n SUVs. One also must check that n find which one is more comfortable.
Bhai lubrication ya greasing ka extra price faltu hi hai. 600-kya 50 INR bhi nahi lena chahiye grease spray ka... aap khud 200 ki grease spray bottle le k sab joints me spray kar sakte hain after every car wash :)
Idk why people always bring out wireless charging like you can buy that from honda as an accessory infotainment system of any car in this segment is overall the same just virtus slavia offers a bit better resolution. As for ventilated seats yes that's a feature i'd say honda missed on its city but tbh its not a deal breaker tho that lane watch camera surely can be a deal maker for people going for extra safety. Also if you can afford to spend a bit more than go for Honda city hybrid it has more features like adas a much muuuch better fuel economy and a lil better looks.
Hi, I have purchased the city zx 2022 model in January this year. Do you have 9 array I'm facing a huge problem with these headlights. They keep jumping up and down while driving on the smallest of bump. There is no focus and this gives a big headache while driving at night. Have you faced the same problem?
I also have same car. I have done many off-roading in hills Uttarakhand, Himanchal, Leh & Ladakh, but I didn't face this kind of problem. I think you must contact with your dealer and Honda workshop...
Basically suspension buffers stiffen the suspension of your car and you will get marginally better handling character on high speeds. But the comfort on the lower speeds will get compromised and the ride will become jerky when you go over bad roads or potholes. So I wont advise you to go for suspension buffers until unless you need that little bit extra ground clearance.
@@DriveCraftR Thank you very much for your kind response. I was just wondering because I saw many positive feedback regarding these buffers on RUclips.
It totally depends on what do you want from your car. If you want better handling and want a little bit better ground clearance, you can use them. But the comfort will get compromised for sure and they the low ride comfort will get reduced. Also one should not try to alter the basic arrangement of a stock car, it effects the overall behaviour of the car, personally I wont use it in my car and hence I wont suggest you the same.
those who have driven slavia/virtus would know why people are going towards them. Honda city is reliable no doubt but people who want performance would go towards slavia/virtus. City vs slavia/virtus debate is more about reliability vs performance. Also 1.5 tsi engine is imported and it gives performance that city would never give in it's lifetime. People who are buying slavia/virtus is taking maintainance packages beforehand bcz most of them know what they are getting in for. Also drive slavia/virtus you will know the difference yourself, also city is not even comparable with 1.5tsi bcz that engine is solely performance based.
When anyone buys any car, performance should be one of the paramaters, but it should not be the "only parameter". 1.5 TSI is in another league altogether, but if you are calling the i-vtec a slouch, then you need to experience the ivtec first. It is not like the City's petrol motor is not known for its performance. There is a reason why enthusiats love this 1.5 litre naturally aspirated engine, which screams way beyond 7000 rpm and keeps on doing that for years and years, without any fail. The Slavia/Virtus would appeal more to the younger audience, but the more mature and calculative people will continue to rely on the city. By the way, I have driven the germans as well and the video for the same will release today @ 2:00 PM. The vehicle I was driving had a wireless charger that stopped working within three months of usage, rattling noise from the dashboard as reported by the owner. Reliability at the cost of anything will hamper your owneship experience and that according to me is the most frustating aspect.
Hello Kumar It totally depends on your preference, if you love performance, acceleration and driving pleasure, go for manual. If you want comfort and convenience, ease of drive (if you live in a city which has traffic issues) should go for the CVT.
Double Power??? Kaun si Slavia hai bhai 200 BHP ki??? Tmhaare jaise log hi uchak uchak ke performance ke naam pe german gaadi le lete hai fir maintainence cost dekh ke 3.5 lac mein bech ke bhaag jaate hai... 😂😂😂😂
No way, honda city is very old product now. Its really a simple car nothing special now. Just drive the salavia and kushaq you won't get back to city. In 2022 offering a naturally aspirated engine in 17 lacs is stupidity
What about poor fit and finish and air conditioning problem? The city now offers Adas standard from the V variant and still offers better value for money in comparison to slavia and virtus.
what 600/- for lubricating door hinges. They robbed you. Secondly you always get about 40pc discount on paid labour with wheel alignment, seat drycleaning, wax polish etc. Always get medium service than major service cost. Its about 1900/- something
It is better than City in Midrange, city is way better in the top end. Also City is more refined than Slavia 1.0. Mileage is also better in Honda City than that in Slavia.
See skoda and vw do service in 15000 with 3500 bill and rest company have 2 to 3 service till 15 to 20k kms if u compare service rate skoda is way chipper than orther brands. People don't compare driving dynamics and safety and engineering dynamics of a car. No doubt city is a good product but if we see vw as a group is always a better brand than honda be it in technology or in engineering.
You are not coming on the right point. I think Alto can also do the job you explaining. What about stability on road at higher speed. What do you feel when driving at 150-160 kmph?
Am not going to travel always by 150-160 kmph but I always needed the comfort and peace of mind. Also you are right Alto do the same job in it's segment I mean it purely satisfy your need and reliability same as city. My friends with virtus still frequently visiting service centers for AC and other basic needs which is not right interms of a 20 lakh car.
1. My brother owns new Honda Amaze (3 year old), one day his car's back wheels excel got broken and smoke started coming from tyres. This explains the quality of Honda. Have you seen such issue with VW or Skoda? 2. One day, I was driving on External peripheral (NCR), it has speed limit of 120 kmph but no was driving at this speed because our cars are not stable enough (Gadkari will laugh by watching it). So, I am thinking that we should also upgrade ourself to the next level as our roads are changing.... by the way I own WagonR.. hahahaha.

Is it a wise decission to book 4th gen now...or beter to change to 5th gen ...price difrence is 2 lakhs pls advice.
Brother, no one has ever matched my views on this car at the level as you do.. i completely agree with every single line that you said.. i like the german cars for their punchy acceleration but will not go for them at the cost of reliability.
Honda City is even today a very practical and a balanced product. That's why I love my 4th gen Honda City.
Bro, you are doing great job making such informative content.👍🏻
I agree ur talk sir.tq sir.i 1st prefered honda city.
You can add one point about turbo lag in case of 1.0 TSI engine in lower rpm whereas in lower rpm Honda City will not disappoint.
Very mature words❤️
Truely agree
Thank You ❤️
12 months ki service cost me labor charge laga he kya???
Very clear thought process
Totally agree
I am getting a deal to buy zx variant of all new honda city in 16.05 Lakh ( on road price). Is it a good deal? Kindly comment.
Cancelled my Slavia booking post the chip shortage issues and bought a pre owned ZX MT (with full sized spare). Apart from the cabin NVH no complaints in the car. Super fun to drive
👍
What is the issue with Cabin NVH levels? Is it too noisy? Asking because I'm planning to make a choice between Verna Diesel and City Petrol
@@snehalsinha you can hear quite a bit of engine and road noise especially above 2500 rpm. Sometimes that engine sound can be thought of as sporty, but, there are times I find it just noisy (this is more so if you are buying the cvt automatic)
@@SeePatPlay Okay, I got it. But considering the specs of the engine and the fact that it has 6 gears, I think that it reaches 100kmph within 2000 rpm itself.
@@snehalsinha not within 2000.. if I remember right between 2000-2500. The 6th gear ratio is not very different from 5th. Hardly any difference in the rpm. There are a bunch of discussions around the NVH on teambhp page. Do check that out as well. I got door insulation done, it’s a little better with that.
HondaCity is godfather of Sedan segment
Hey, How is headlight Review at night of your city?
Does it give you good focus on roads?
The 9 array headlights are a pain!! They keep jumping up and down while driving on each and every even smallest of bumps. This is a major fault in the car and the company does not want to do anything about it. Its a headache to drive the car at night
ruclips.net/user/shortsR5EZRZFeavk?feature=share - you can see the out of focus irritating headlights of honda city zx
It doesnt happen for me though
Thanks for your experience sharing
Thanks for watching!
I disagree on the engine. Pls be well informed, 1.0 TSI is a 20+ year old engine, it used to come in Polo, Vento, Rapid in the past.
Is it top model? If yes, plz tell about headlights throw?
The intensity is good till a short distance. The problem is the throw is not very long so visibility in terms of distance is very limited. If you do a lot of highway travel in night, you will need to upgrade the fog lamps to projector HID, because you cant do anything about the LED setup in the headlamps.
Thank you for such a nice explanation 🥰
Mine was 14000 and after discount 12800 Ctown honda ,Noida
Would it be wise to proceed to book city 4th gen? ( Wrt my budget)
Yes, it is an amazing car. You can surely book the 4th Gen City
Well put!!
No bro, i don't agree with you maybe it good for you but salvia is better because of
1. Better ground clearance
2. Better info entertainment system
3. Powerful engine 1.5tsi
4. Better sound system
5. Better at high speed, feel planted
6. Other like ventilated seat, better lights
Edit: also i love city but rational thinking make more sense then, giving excuses
Hope it helps you
German and US cars companies have worst old age. they are expensive to maintain and You might be lucky to get 30pc as resale.
That's why I bought Honda City AT 2012 total run 94000 km.
Yes Vx cvt booked reliability wins always
Does 9 array headlight really shatter at minor bumps? Some comments are like that.
Yes, I am bit concerned about this issue.
Ye 54 rupay ka windscreen fluid kya hota hai? Isn't it water?
Idk why people always bring out wireless charging like you can buy that from honda as an accessory infotainment system of any car in this segment is overall the same just virtus slavia offers a bit better resolution. As for ventilated seats yes that's a feature i'd say honda missed on its city but tbh its not a deal breaker tho that lane watch camera surely can be a deal maker for people going for extra safety. Also if you can afford to spend a bit more than go for Honda city hybrid it has more features like adas a much muuuch better fuel economy and a lil better looks.
❤️
Honda don’t need ventilation seats cuz Japanese AC unit are way powerful and best in segment.

Please confirm the service interval of honda city petrol cvt
Every 10000 km/12 months.
using city 5th gen since 2021 first half till now car only needs a good service else nothing and at 7000 rpm car is on another level,,...
Good Explanation 👍
Hi, any comments or advises on installation of suspension buffer for Honda City 5th Gen?
@@DriveCraftR thanks much for your guidance that gives me some clear picture now. I was little confused whether to install it or not on my car.
Your welcome Sir. Do let me know if you need any other help ❤️
Labour is a bit on higher side as I pay only 2200 on my honda Amaze as labour
those who have driven slavia/virtus would know why people are going towards them.

Is engine of this car loudy?
Only when we accelerate hard, other than that at normal speed, its not loud.
My first car is Honda city 4 gen, now my new car is Honda city 5 Gen CVT,Honda City is Honda city

Manual or CVT which one is better? How does CVT perform on hills?
Hello Kumar
It totally depends on your preference, if you love performance, acceleration and driving pleasure, go for manual.
If you want comfort and convenience, ease of drive (if you live in a city which has traffic issues) should go for the CVT.
@@DriveCraftR ok. Thanks for reply.
As I view vx,zx varient of city head light mainly r bakwas & painful u can't drive at night in 5 gen check it out, thanks
Honda city or creta I’m looking for a iPhone if you know what I mean
Sir
Honda city ka ground clearance Kam hai .
Skoda salvia se.
Grand Vitara के साथ एक comparison कर दो भाईसाब
ivtec hata do to 5th gen city bakwas product hai (compared to it's competition). 4tg gen and especially 3rd gen was unbeatable in it's segment.
What about the ground clearance of city 4g v variant ?
Okay by Sedan standards. You will need to be very careful under full load or sharp bumps.
4 year warranty hai 30k denge to aur 2 saal total 6 saal warranty aati hai skoda me
City's ground clearance is a big deal breaker for me.
Salvia 15000 km pe 8000 kharch aata hai aur honda city se double power hai gaadi me
Double Power??? Kaun si Slavia hai bhai 200 BHP ki??? Tmhaare jaise log hi uchak uchak ke performance ke naam pe german gaadi le lete hai fir maintainence cost dekh ke 3.5 lac mein bech ke bhaag jaate hai... 😂😂😂😂
I think for this you may opt for double ply tyre of continental
Yoo🤘🏼
Bawa.... ❤️❤️
i have 2022 zx i dtech and i will prefer my honda again n again over these cars
No way, honda city is very old product now. Its really a simple car nothing special now. Just drive the salavia and kushaq you won't get back to city. In 2022 offering a naturally aspirated engine in 17 lacs is stupidity
Slavia is overpriced. No space...interiors 👎 not up to the mark ,cheap plastic item on dashboard, gaps in some areas.
What about poor fit and finish and air conditioning problem?
The city now offers Adas standard from the V variant and still offers better value for money in comparison to slavia and virtus.
Looks like u have no idea about cars
You look like Arijit Singh...
what 600/- for lubricating door hinges. They robbed you. Secondly you always get about 40pc discount on paid labour with wheel alignment, seat drycleaning, wax polish etc. Always get medium service than major service cost. Its about 1900/- something
i meant free wheel alignment etc etc
There wheel alignment and dry clearing services charges are 2-3 times of out sider. There is no benefit of 40% discount
No, no just drive 1.0 salavia. Ite far better than city in terms of performance, mileage and drive is way better than honda
It is better than City in Midrange, city is way better in the top end. Also City is more refined than Slavia 1.0.
Mileage is also better in Honda City than that in Slavia.
@@DriveCraftR go and check car wale’s city vs virtus mileage test…1.0 tsi easily got more even after being turbocharged
Mins 550₹ jyda liya hai to unke manejer se milkr negotiate Ho sakta bhai jenuan 3500 se 4000₹ hi rhti hai to 20000 km pr 7100₹ kuchh Bura nhi hai
See skoda and vw do service in 15000 with 3500 bill and rest company have 2 to 3 service till 15 to 20k kms if u compare service rate skoda is way chipper than orther brands. People don't compare driving dynamics and safety and engineering dynamics of a car. No doubt city is a good product but if we see vw as a group is always a better brand than honda be it in technology or in engineering.
well the city manual has better performance than the 1.0tsi
I have 1.0 tsi come and race with me
Honda city anytime
So, I am thinking that we should also upgrade ourself to the next level as our roads are changing.... by the way I own WagonR.. hahahaha.
@@bbss9295 No car is perfect but some cars will strike the balance, I mean it will not let you down in anyway circumstances. City is the car even modern turbos envy it till today.
