My family owned this exact unit for over 20 years, from 1988 to 2008. We visited every second and third week of February, from the time I was a newborn until the year I turned 18. So many memories here. It's been 15 years and I remember it all like it was yesterday. I was feeling really nostalgiac for Puerto Rico tonight and was looking for videos to see how it looked these days. I definitely did not expect to see a guided tour of the exact unit I grew up in. I almost don't even know if I'm going to get thru the video without tearing up. Thanks for bringing me back to my childhood for 8 minutes. I'll probably never be back, as I'm disabled and most of the family who owned it are deceased now.

@@Dadjokeswithmydaughter Our days consisted of waking up in the morning, taking our golf cart to the beach, coming back around 3 pm for Bingo by the small pool, getting ready for dinner around 5, dinner at 6 (our favorite restaurants were Blue Hawaii in Palmanova Plaza, or Barracuda Bistro down at the marina, there was also a steakhouse in the back of Palmanova), after dinner the adults would head towards the casino and the kids would go in the pool again. The last year I was there, 2008, we met a bunch of kids my age and we had a house party about 10 of us. It was the first time I ever drank alcohol. One of the things that remains extremely close to my heart would trips to a video store that used to exist in Palmanova Plaza, right next to Palmas Market. My dad would rent me 2 movies for $1 back in the 1990's and we'd watch them. He would also take me on a mini golf course near the beach. I hope you and your children had a great time, and tell them to enjoy it while they're young, because it goes fast.
@@crispycruiser4654 those are some good memories. That is why we love to go on vacation together. It does go by fast and my oldest daughter is married now was able to join us for the trip. She living her own life so it was a treat to have her with us. Thanks for sharing your story’s it has made my day!
