    My best guess for the date is July 9, 1994. I played at least twice that day, first doing the festival-opening set with Susan and band, and then later in the afternoon with Paul Rishell. The whole festival was taped for broadcast on Quincy cable access but Susan’s set was omitted due to lack of signed releases. This is an amazing find!

    Guitar slinger Adrienne Hayes! Hayes was a member of the Susan Tedeschi Band at this time. Adrienne played & wrote some songs with Tedeschi and was a serious talent.
    Can’t find much more about her, other than some occasional jam sessions with blues giant Ronnie Earl.

    Friggin Ronnie Earl was the kissing cousin on guitar to Stevie Ray. The dude just wailed on that strat! His live in Europe album is a master class in blues.

      I saw a picture in a Stevie Ray Vaughan biography years ago showing Ronnie Earl onstage playing with Stevie. They were friends before Stevie became famous. Ronnie was using at the time, and Stevie was clean when they played together. Ronnie said Stevie's example made a big impression on him without saying a word. Ronnie has been clean for a long time and is a wonderful sweet human being. Ronnie is an exceptional guitar player who always plays from the heart.

    Truly one of the finest, deep blues players Ronnie Earl is magic on his Strat. Bruce Katz on organ is a terrific counter point. The church of blues, Ronnie Earl style. I saw this Ronnie Earl band at the Backstage in Seattle. Super long sets. Gorgeous tone all around. Carries you away with such inventive, fingertip feeling blues. Love it. Keeping this American flame alive. Thanks all.

    Another, in a long line of GREAT Susan Dedeski vocals!
    Maybe it's just me, but every time I listen to her I hear how much she must have listened to a lot of the great Bonnie Raitt when she was developing her own unique style of vocals.
    I dare anyone to listen to these first two songs, with eyes closed, and not think it's Bonnie Raitt, with just a little more rasp in her tones.
    Susan is a national treasure!

    • @wilcorrigan2970
      @wilcorrigan2970 Год назад

      Bonnie Rait is a thousand times better singer and player. Shouting into a mic doesn't make you a great singer. If she hadn't hooked up with Derek Trucks when she did she'd be forgotten by now, he carries her. Her guitar playing is lame. I'll isten to Larkin Poe instead.

    • @stratcat9432
      @stratcat9432 Год назад

      @wilcorrigan2970 C'mon little willie , She is doing much more than just shouting into a mic,she has vibrato and soul in her singing. Now I know music is subjective and everyone hears things differently, but what I pointed out is just 100% facts.Btw..I would go out of my way to listen to anything by Larkin Poe and Tyler Bryant and his band of baad' mofos.

      Yes, Susan's guitarist is Adrienne Hayes. Ronnie Earl is the guitarist in the second band.
