The P30 chassis is an independent front suspension chassis that uses coil springs. Your video shows a solid axle, leaf spring chassis similar to a Ford motorhome chassis. Totally different animals!
Both coil-spring independent and I-beam single-axle front suspensions are available on the 1999 model P30, with the I-beam variant being the heavy-duty suspension package that was shared with chassis used for motorhomes and school busses. This particular vehicle is an 18-foot P30 step van, and thus uses the heavier-duty I-beam suspension. Consider GM part number 15996809, and related parts diagrams, for more information.
I suggest you do more research. If it has a solid axle, it isn't a P30. My 1999 34' SeaBreeze motorhome is on a P30 chassis. It has independent suspension with coil springs. I seriously doubt that they built it on a lighter duty chassis, since its GVWR is 18,500 lbs.
You are right, I too have a 1999 P30 and it's a I-Beam front axle. Even the workshop manual covers instructions for both independent and commercial. Great video!
there's also the p32 and p36 that came with the tandem axle. some with higher gvwr and lower gear ratios. a P30 is commonly a 1 ton chassis under 30 feet and a P32 will have larger wheels and tires with full basements. most school buses are built on the same chassis as well as cube vans and motorhomes.

It's our work truck, and it's definitely a P30. So I don't know what to say other than it's a P30 with an I-beam axle.
