Mark, super cool ideas, and perfect timing out here in N California. I really liked you video; I’m Landscape Photog Challenged, Lol, since I always lean towards birds photography. But I do love Landscape. I’ll try all these today while we have break in the rain!
Thanks Steven. I would love to do more bird photography, but need a longer lens for sure (I only have max 200mm). Hope you manage to get out to do some photography, just ignore the rain ;)
Same here. I lean towards the wildlife. Fragmite that is backlit a little from the side on a sunny day a hour or two before sunset is also pretty good with the sun sitting lower in the winter.
Gray days are always a challenge for me, thanks for the ideas. Really enjoyed the photo near the end of the video of the bubbles. I’m by far not a bird expert but I was thinking more of Eurasian Coot rather than a Moorhen.
Thanks as always for your comments. You could well be correct regarding the bird, I really need to improve my bird knowledge. Yes, I thought the bubble photo was fun.
You know the last time it snowed .. by the time my days off came . The snow had melted . And all it's been since is depressing rain . My days off has been jinxed i despise the rain . Tbh I wouldn't class it as winter . More like the Murky cloudy Monsoon season . My definetion of winter is snow . More chance up in the Highlands of Snow
I know that feeling of missing the good weather conditions. I used to stay in when it rained but now I still go out to photograph, otherwise I'd only do photography 20% of the year! Weather conditions don't always match the official season.
You made more than the best out of these conditions!
Thank you

Really nice video, the photo and video of the cormorant is fantastic 👍🏻
Thanks, I got lucky finding that cormorant before it flew away.
Nice video 👍
Thank you 🙂
Thanks for some great ideas 🙂
You're welcome 👍🏻
The most well-behaved swans. "Sure, pal, take your pictures. Want us to turn to the right or the left?"
Yes, they are always like this here, they come towards me rather than swim away!
Having just attempted to do this I was very impressed with the shot selection. Subbed.
Thank you 🙂

I agree, Coot rather than Moorhen.
Thanks 👍🏻 I really need to improve my bird knowledge

Moorhens have a red and yellow beak whereas the coot has an all white beak.
Good to know, I definitely haven't seen any moorhens, all coots.
