The problem with dating today the internet and going out somewhere people can say what they want. Only by staying over at each other’s home for a night you can find out what a person is really like.
"The little things" seems to be missing... and it's often overlooked.
These are the little details and minor bits someone does that might seem inconsequential... BUT they're going "the extra mile" just for you, because you care about it... whatever it is. Maybe it's as simple as making sure there's always creamer or your favorite kind of flavoring available for coffee when they know you're coming by... keeping a package of your preferred candy or treat around since you come over frequently... maybe they scoured their house to get rid of all the pens that are almost out of ink, because it annoys you, personally, to have a pen that isn't consistent...
Seeing to details that they might normally not care about is a definite sign someone's paying a little extra attention entirely on YOUR behalf, and people only do things like that when they care. ;o)

Me and my best friend have all these, except physical touch because she's touch averse. I'm convinced we are platonic soulmates. We love each other, we just don't say it in those words.

@@Psych2go we don't really say "I love you" to each other, but I tell her all the time that she's my best friend and that she's one of the best and kindest people I know. And she genuinely listens to, communicates with, and compliments me A LOT (or at least a lot more than I'm used to). I guess I just don't want to make it awkward or weird somehow by saying "I love you," especially because I'm a lesbian and she's not.
I also don't want her family to somehow find out and make a big deal out of it (they're very Christian and kind-of homophobic). She already gets somewhat of a backlash from them just by being friends with me to begin with, I HATE that they give her a hard time about it. They could shittalk me all they want and I wouldn't care, but they say it to her and it makes her so upset. I HATE that they use me against her like that, it's despicable.
(Sorry for the rant.)

I've been married for three years going on four and my spouse at first before marriage showered me with so much love but soon after it slowly and gradually this relationship became pure hell . Actually he did most of those things in the video at first . But now I find myself the only one doing them . he has admitted like a few weeks ago that he had lied about things when we first met and started dating . he said that he lied to impress me and to be with me but this has traumatized me severely because everyday has been so stressful for me that by him lying like that this all could have been avoided . Everyday I am scared and worried about everything like simple things like if it's gonna be another argument or another criticizing situation or if they are going to get angry and or go off on a angry tangent or is he going to beat and strangle me again or maybe me having another miscarriage .
I feel so confused everyday they have the most weirdest behavior and most of the time they don't notice it
I had a younger neph who lived with us for one summer for a summer and they noticed that something was not right with my spouse he called him " unattached" before I said anything ( I don't like talking about my relationship because of it's entirety and problems) but when my neph said that it made me realize that there is more going on than what he has told me when I thought that I can talk to him about it he became very mad at me and called me "insecure and crazy" I started crying because I didn't know what to do . They have had violent tempers that made them verbally, emotionally, spiritually, mentally and financially, and physically abusive later I ended up in the hospital from physical abuse and stress related medical problems.
Sexually I felt he was not there like if we did have sex it seems if he is having sex with someone else it's weird to explain but after he walks away and starts acting as nothing happened or he goes to sleep . The best way to describe his behavior is very cold and aloof straight to the point and robotic which to me is creepy . I never been with someone like this in my entire life . I am scared that I will d!e from heartache or stress because of this .
The reason I never left is because we are married and due to my personal beliefs and I feel that there is something wrong with my partner where he needs psychological help I want to help him and maybe it has something to do with him being abused as a child and being former law enforcement , you know PTSD .
My spouse was so sweet kind caring and lovable when we first met I just want that all back . Either way I am scared for the madness to keep going on or I get really seriously sick from all this . All of the gas lighting , manipulation, ridicule , control, violent abuse, yelling, lying , him feeling like he is the king of this world but others or nothing 💩🚽 and etc ....
And I know he said that he" lied" but we vowed to be with each other forever through anything as we both shall live and marriage is Only voided unless one cheats.
Sorry for the long post just wanted to vent . 😩😮💨

You are not defined by him. Forget the marriage label. If a stranger treated you this way, how would it make you feel? 2nd Please if you can, speak to a professional about it like a counsellor (note not every professional is great, but find one that works for you).

as someone who has never said "I love you" (I am 24 yrs old), with a partner who is more expressive with words than me I can tell you it was hard, I worried that he wouldn't think I love him but I taught him the love languages and explained him mine and we figured out his (funny enough were the complete opposite to mine), he now knows how I show him love (and to be completely honest, I even feel like saying it, it almost comes out randomly but I just have to find the right moment, I know he won't say it first of fear that I am not ready

So there's this one girl in my class. I only know her for around 2 yeras now but since the beginning I felt sooo safe in her company. Like I could literally be myself and be loud and messy and she'd always get me. We don't really talk that often, it's more phsyical, yk? I'm a person that loves skinship but just if I trust the person. Every time I see her (which is indeed a lot) I just go and get my daily hugs and cuddle. Most of the times I don't even need to say anything: she smiles; I smile, she pets my head (yup, it was a joke at the beginning but it became a habit) and then we just hug for like 2 minutes. It's so weid to talk about it right here an right now but I'm secretly so glad she is there for me.

I only had 1 person in my life who loved me like this and shared it with the world on media and introduced me to all of her family. No one else did that and my friends didn’t even have me on social media, every time we did something fun or where in a group of friends they’d have pictures of everyone on there account that day except me. I think I’ve finally decided after 5 years that weather I make any friends again or find someone else who loves me that I think I’ll be ok being alone. If I’m alone forever I think it will be ok.
