This is my new style of video going forward I am now a Lego channel and all videos will be about Legos and Lego Star Wars and Lego Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu. Also, did you guys see they added Legos to Fortnite. Isn't that crazy I can't wait to get some victory royales in Lego Fortnite. Anyways this video is about the recent drama surrounding the Lego Venator Ultimate Collector Series or Lego UCS Lego set or Lego Model. Mainly about how it includes the minifigure of Lego Captain Rex. Many people are very mad because he is going to come in a much cheaper Lego Star Wars Microfighter set. In this video, I talk about the drama and whether or not I think it is a good thing.
Please watch my other Lego Videos like my History of the Biggest Lego Sets or my videos about Lego Ninjago

@Sambysaurus what's your point with the first sentences, I don't get it. I think lego should have just done what they did with the razor crest set. Release a cheaper version, before we got the UCS version, like have a play scale Venator with a lightly different rex, then later on release the UCS one. I mean, not many people complained on either side about the exclusive mando fig. Feel like that would have been a better option, but whatever, it’s not that important anyway

  • @Agent_Ice

I definitely will stand that these figures are first and foremost toys, and they should be somewhat accessible to everyone. If some 8 year old watching Clone Wars wants Captain Rex, he shouldn't be locked behind a $650 price tag.
That being said...Lego should not have said these minifigs would be exclusive in the first place if they had plans to release him again at a later date.
I used to own 3 of Phase 1 Captain Rex, but my little cousin wanted Legos. So he got some Legos from me. Including those.

im 100% fine with cheaper sets having cool figures like captain rex, i just think there is so much they could have done to distinguish the UCS rex and microfighter rex apart while still having that cool factor, such as removing the unique face printing from the microfighter version (most kids who want the microfighter want to play with the helmet on) or by giving the UCS rex a proper waist cape and keeping the printed one for the microfighter. thats just my take though, im still picking up the microfighter and the UCS venator (eventually for the venator, day one for the microfighter)

No matter what ANYONE says, Lego exclusive minifigures comming in cheaper sets is always a *good* thing, because not everyone can spend that kind of money and popular characters should be in cheap sets. Hell even the more obscure ones shouldn't be that expensive, the most expensive set an exclusive minifigure should be in is 150USD and thats even a little too high. Lego minifigures are for everyone, not just wealthy collectors.
And if you're mad Rex isn't exclusive anymore, you are ignoring the HUGE DISPLAY PIECE you bought, and clearly don't value the SETS part of Lego. Or you're a scalper mad about the prices dropping "isn't scalping because its still available" isnt an excuse.
