Tom, Thanks again. I drove down to R&L this morning. I registered the radio for the warranty and immediately watched this video and set it up. 73, K8STU
Thomas, Very nice job sharing the menu system and some of the settings. I recently purchased the Ft-891 and very happy with it. It's videos like these that I keep spending time reviewing to better help understand the radio and its features and settings. Thanks and 73.....KI5MD
@@ND3N Initially, I found the rig a bit frustrating, but after 4-5 weeks and watching some videos on adjusting the settings, I've become much more comfortable with it.
PRC on or off (tx audio processor) is channel setting specific with memories, yet RT systems has no column for PRC in the memory channel editor screen (not in radio settings either). I reported this to them and I hope they add it soon.
I don’t think I’ve seen that in any RT Sys. S/W…. Perhaps because it’s something that is dynamically set to conform for each individual voice. But it would be nice to be able to have a way to easily reload them in case of a required reset…
Good tutorial on settings. Rocky Horror excerpt .... your'e a funny Ham. I'll get that software but it looks like long time to learn & use. Thanks for posting.
Actually, RT-Systems is very intuitive and doesn’t take much effort to use. They also have a really good customer service that will talk you through any problems you’re having…
Nice video. I am using the FT-891 with RT Systems. I frequently use FT8 and I always have to remember to change the Width to 3000 when I switch to data mode. I don't see where I can set that up in RT Systems. 73
I narrowed the band and I heard myself on the Maui sdr receiver with S7 using 80 watts at 5:00 AM UTC 02/28:2024. Thank you for the advice. However, the EQ settings did not work for me. It’s better to turn it off. Why? Can you please share? Thank you.
I assume you mean the menu settings. They are all listed in the video description where you should be able highlight, copy, and paste into any text editor and print from there.
Don't know why ppl think theses are great videos. Very very hard to follow. He jumps to the next menus bunch without showing what was done. Just runs thru it real fast. After going ba k and forth a few times to try and keep up I just quit. To frustrating. Ctrl YMMV

Great video, looking forward to seeing some more on the FT-89. Thank you
More to come!
Just got my FT-891 and your video has helped me tremendously. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Will do
Went along and ordered a FT-891, your videos are among the best on this rig. Once again thank you.
Thanks…
I'm keeping this video for when I buy it later this year :-)
This is a great video series for any FT-891 user. Thanks for putting it together!

Wondering if you can help me out started changing the menu but now I can’t move it anymore. It’s like it’s locked any ideas of how to fix it?
