Oct. 10 Part 4: Former Maricopa County Attorney's Office prosecutor faces disciplinary trial

April Sponsel, the former Maricopa County Attorney’s Office prosecutor who helped falsely charge a group of police protesters as a criminal street gang, is facing a disciplinary trial this month. The State Bar of Arizona’s case against Sponsel began on October 3 with nine additional hearing days scheduled throughout the month, according to a recent scheduling order. If additional days are necessary, the trial could run into November or December.

So what he's saying is they went of the subjective belief of the police. No real evidence. What's the criminal behavior. They didn't attack police. Police attacked them. Wasn't aware that a manicure was evidence of a crime.
