  • April Sponsel, the former Maricopa County Attorney’s Office prosecutor who helped falsely charge a group of police protesters as a criminal street gang, is facing a disciplinary trial this month. The State Bar of Arizona’s case against Sponsel began on October 3 with nine additional hearing days scheduled throughout the month, according to a recent scheduling order. If additional days are necessary, the trial could run into November or December.

When did lying to a grand jury stop being a crime? If it is a crime, *why aren't these people being prosecuted?*

Police officers beat the crap out of protesters and got no charges or misdemeanor battery charges but this guy says touching a police officer with a pole with no injury is a felony.

So what he's saying is they went of the subjective belief of the police. No real evidence. What's the criminal behavior. They didn't attack police. Police attacked them. Wasn't aware that a manicure was evidence of a crime.

Does the name Hernandez mean anything to you? I would like to get a connection made in the DA's office. Any imperfections would have to be made perfect. Two and two do not equal 4. Never confess ever.
