These stories of Kobe never get old. And there are so many about the training. Kobe was such a monster that he inspired these other killers like Gil and DWade. And he changed how Phil looked at training and basically made him a coach. Absolutely amazing. Can’t wait until Phil Handy gets a full episode

18:00 Makes sense about Bron saving that next level for playoff time (after being in the league so long). Last season, he had to turn on the engine late in the season and that’s not normal for him. They weren’t gonna make the playoffs so he had to make more of an effort for the team to even be competitive.

One of the most interesting moments that I remember in the NBA came during an all-star game. Time was ticking toward half-time. LeBron passed the ball with 3-4 seconds left. Kobe went off on him (laughing). I can imagine him saying, “Why in the hell would you do that?”
I agree. It was about championships more than individual stats. And the public tries their best, even this past season, to say that he’s “padding stats”. However, people always said that he was more Magic and less Jordan.

It doesn’t make sense that there are so many people on both sides of the line. One group says that he’s padding stats. The other says that he’s extremely unselfish. Oh, then there’s another argument saying that he doesn’t have have “dog” in him. His narrative is split by people that have never played with him or against him.
@@sdfishinn Of course, I wasn’t there but from my perspective, Kobe gave him advice on winning by telling him that he should’ve taken the shot instead of passing at that moment. Someone has to take the last shot. Might as well be LeBron in that situation.
It came up again during the Miami championship run. One of the Big 3 would need to have the ball for the last shot.

Love agent zero and Phil also…but it’s easy to prepare for 38 minutes when you only play one side of the floor…Giannis is probably the best two way player in the world and hustles the most out of all superstars…so you have to give him props man🤷♂️
That’s a one sided point of view. Basketball players don’t just train for one side of the ball. That’s why they do cardio, strength training, defensive drills. You can be a fan of a player without putting down others.
