Hey Charlie! THANK YOU for bringing this up. So often “the core” is simplified and isolated to some perspective and they key point you mention….”looks good in this shape…but then not in a more upright functional shape or shape/movement that person needs to do….” That requires a whole other skill set by the one guiding someone in rebuilding their house….and as you mentioned - A TEAM! YES!

and the intelligence of the shapes in the Hatha Yoga and the body’s relationship to circulating essences within the blood. There is a whole system of “tender points” in the yoga system many don’t understand or realize. Big topic. Looking forward to having a discussion from the Hatha Yoga perspective on fascia, fluid dynamics, blood and the breath for self-discovery, self-regulation and self-healing. Even Pischinger spoke of the blood color related to oxygen and carbon dioxide. So much coming together from my experiences and what wisdom I’ve been given over the years.

these regions he speaks of are associated with blood in the Hatha Yoga tradition of energetic points (Marma) and also to the parasympathetic (or in Yoga the Apana aspect, downward moving force of a directional wind of the life force moving you) part. Another big topic. So yes associated with beyond the senses of pleasure through the eyes and ears…..and then there is the power of the tongue. Another huge topic, that some are starting to see and understand, and known amongst the Yogins for millennia

Results thru relational interaction is key! A measures to measure progress or change for WHAT the client wants, not me, and not the third party payer!

most PTs don’t know…… I’ve known for 15yrs! But not through the education and the continued ed most attend in this country….I chose other routes in the body’s dynamics that science is now able to see and measure somewhat. There are still dynamics that are real and experienced, and not yet tools to see and measure, let alone understand from the intellect.

Carlie - I’d love to have a conversation with you about this use of hands from many aspects your illuminate on. Also what other mechanisms trigger acidity in blood and extracellular matrix (ground substance/interstitium) from your perspective and experiences?

hey Charlie! You kinda contra’s yourself about the weekend course in needling and acupuncture and then later with the conversation of you taking a course in Stecco’s work and thinking you understood it…..being a manual therapist from a different but useful method for 20yrs and many significant changes. I do appreciate they didn’t emphasize exercise. True. I’d inject that manual therapy on its own is some freedom of movement but if the person returns to their unaware lifestyle, shapes they are in (sitting behind a screen all day without dumping the tensions and consequences) and now the breath and respiration the freedom given is not integrated…..to me over the years is a waste of money and time unless someone just wants and will pay for the touch to feel better a lil while, but don’t put the responsibility of who “heals” on the one pushing, pulling or facilitating some change in the tissues. Big issue

It depends on what level the one who enters the Yoga is after…..at some point the practice dictates what that person lives with and at that point the Hatha Yoga may not be useful to continue…
