Personal Opinion/Observations: Mania has puncher upper bass and low bass extension is superior(Note that this is done indoors within a room and near a wall where normal stereo mode[4 drivers are used in L,L and R,R configuration instead of L,R and R,L] is activated on the mania using it's mic, bb3 bass absolutely destroys the Mania outdoors without any walls to reflect off) Bb3 has much clearer cleaner highs, with better instrument seperation imo, and stronger deep bass(doesn't extend as far as mania though, but stronger at the deep bass region) Mania sounds hollow and echoey in the recording but that effect is totally not the case irl, the microphone captures the sound that is reflecting off the walls and ceiling weirdly, irl it sounds very natural with a very wide soundstage, no wierd sounding processing or anything going on. Bb3 has very very well tuned crystal clear highs that don't give treble fatigue, which shows how well tuned it is as this is difficult to do. Bb3 sound changes quite dramatically compared to devialet mania(easily observable when microphone is turned towards the passive radiator side[mids almost dissappear]) Overall Devialet has better Low Bass EXTENSION, Bb3 has superior mids and highs(without lacking bass intensity overall but lacks extension and mid bass). Bb3 gets louder and has better durability and battery life+performance per dollar is easily superior to mania, especially if u can get in on sale or open box

the wifi is comparable, at the discounted price jbl wifi is king , many people like boombox 2 , but they don't realise that the speaker is not playing high frequencies properly, that';s why it sounds warm and kind of lifeless in high frequencies, even i was thinking boombox 3 wifi is not that good, but the sound quality infact is better and more balanced for hi-fi , so can't complain , just enjoy
@@yuding237 I only think the subwoofer is capped by the passive radiators, if they were slightly bigger maybe the bass output would better, because they look same as boombox 2, but the subwoofer has more capability, cone moves more with the thick rubber, it's probably the passive radiators bottoming out limiting more bass output... And the charger is inside the speaker adding more weight, and remove air space from the speaker, reducing bass output , I also prefer aux cable so you can couple with normal computer speaker , so I'm not sure to get it .... Another problem is weight,, why JBL don't opt for neodymium magnet subwoofer ... Could cut weight down a lot
@@tomindia9420not fully imo, it's mostly down to power limit and tuning, if u watch my latest RUclips short where the bb3 wifi is solely used as a subwoofer with full power going to subwoofer, it outputs a shit tonne of bass and it's definitely no slouch bass wise, I feel like they're definitely compensating for power limit and they used more power on the low bass instead of high bass to make the speaker sound more premium and immersive
Mania 30 on paper but can extend to 10hz with full physical driver extension but decibel is definitely reduced quite a bit, bb3 falls off a cliff at 40 driver movement and decibel wise, it's dsp limited more aggressively than mania
@yuding237 in limiter, we have attack and release knob, as well as threshold, the release should be 100ms, and attack should be 10 threshold will be default -3db
@@HAIYANE9910yeah mania’s bass extension is wayy better, partly due to its force cancelling woofer setup as well, but after around 40hz the bb3 is like barely audible, u can watch the passive radiators immediately lose extension very quickly the moment the bass extends
You should WiFi mode on JBL, activate extra features and effects, and bass even more stronger, and it has dolby Atmos (Virtual) maniac has no chance victimizing.
It's stated in the description, I am using wifi mode. Also it won't be fair using tidal and atmos on the bb3 while only using normal stereo on mania. I've used the atmos on bb3 and it barely boosts bass(I'm aware tidal has a more warm sound signature vs am) , most obvious effect is the scarily good spatial effects but that's it
It's not that much stronger, I can do a comparison vid if u want but there's barely any diff. Good thing abt my channel is that I'm not monetized so I can play real songs. Any atmos tracks u wanna recommend?
I bouth Jbl Boombox 3 new one,and before i had JBL boombox 2,and this is not my opinion it is a fact,Jbl boombox 3 is a pure garbage and waste of money,compare to Jbl boombox 2. Battery on Jbl boombox 3 is trash,i have listen it on half volume,maybe lasted 7hours,EQ on normal,24h my ass 😂 Jbl boombox 2,lasted me around 16h on half volume and one bar up,they aparently upgrade the battery on BB3 10400ma,and on BB2 was 10.000ma,but i dont think so,even if they did that,they stuck a big litle vufer on the middle,and that is it,and that,,battery" upgrade obviosly is not enogh,so if you have BB2 dont upgrade to BB3,because is garbage,sound difference,like you have a car with 500hp,BB3 is a 530hp,im dissapointed,probably will go back on BB2

The JBL Boombox 3 WIFI is way too heavy to carry!
And yep, Boombox 3 WiFi bass was stronger than the original, it got rid of 710hz peak that sounds like the singer has flue when they sing.
But the Boombox 3 700hz peak is slightly fixable, just -1 in the mids 0 highs bass +2

If JBL Boombox 3 WiFi mode, it's has much stronger bass in tidal, combined with non-compressed audio fidelity, it was even superior.
It's not that much stronger, I can do a comparison vid if u want but there's barely any diff.
