Devialet bass is soo clean. No extra noises, it's amazing 😮 You pay for quality here. If you are okey with just a loud nice noise, you don't pay extra.
Comparing Devialet speakers to JBL speakers is like comparing a pair of Hi-Fi home speakers to a set of club speakers. Yes, the JBL is louder, but the Devialet sounds so much better. Also, just because the drivers move at a certain freauency does not mean it goes down to that frequency. It needs to be at a maximum of -6dB compared to the other frequencies. The JBL Boombox 3 only goes down to 40Hz. After that there's basically no sound. Devialet goes down to 18Hz +/-3dB. Lower than the human ear can hear. You want fast, accurate, low bass with clear mids and detailed highs? Get a Devialet. You want loud bass and sharp highs? Get a JBL.
Honestly any Bluetooth speaker you have to buy two and pair them together I did that with the largest Sony xB43 and have them paired in stereo they're amazing have them hooked up either Bluetooth or a stereo RCA L&R that makes the biggest difference in the world is having a stereo pair 💯
@@miksumasterjbl8899at max volume though, Devialet reaches its lowest possible frequency even at lower volumes. My boombox 3 wifistruggles to produce anything under 45hz below 40% volume
I would definitely go for the Devialet . Even though it was the smallest and most expensive it definitely blew the others away on clean , low distortion bass extension . Loud ain't everything . Great review guy !
Devialet is a piece of art not just for sounds. No matter how much power it has but due to its form factor which very small, it cannot produce big sounds.
I believe the Devialet is a sealed, airtight enclosure with no passive radiators. In car audio applications this requires more power to drive the woofers. A sealed enclosure isn't as power efficient but creates cleaner, more musical bass. Quality over volume.
Great review, they all sound good! Listening on a pair of gold Phantoms, I preferred the Phantom 2. I liked the JBL boombox too, but not really the plugged in one, which I didn't expect. The B&W sounded great to me as well. All pretty good choices, but I really like the Devialet sound.
i had an 18 inch subwoofer with a 1meter height on 1meter depth and a power amp to drive it that reached 18 hz and you felt the room shaking .what are all these small speakers saying you reach 20 hz all fake tests
The JBL Boombox 3 definitely doesn't achieve 20hz. Yes, the subwoofer still moves but there is definitely no bass anymore. The Boombox 3 manages around 33-35hz. Anything below that just sounds overdriven. Same story by the B&W
I don't really understand why you chose the authentics over the others if the others have lower sounding bass.. The only thing it does better is get louder and it's cheaper.. Does it have better sounds or something? You didnt really explain why you liked it.
do you not know the typical jbl fanboy? he already stated himself devialet has the best speakers inside and is the one with best sound quality. comparing devialet with jbl, jbl is like toy butterfly phone to iphone, there's no comparison. devialet is to go for over jbl everytime, if, you have the money. the only acceptable reason to recommend jbl over devialet, price nothing else.
For a battery powered speaker that sounds best outside/outdoors, the Diamondboxx is very hard to beat if ever they can be beat. Unfortunately, the JBL Boombox's loses lot of their good sounds when outside in open areas. They do sound great inside of spaces though.
You're not going to notice the difference between 95.1 and 95.5 or 96db's most humans are only capable of noticing a difference of 3 decibels which also requires 2x more power so saying that devialet is 400wats vs JBL is literally impossible the JBL has more power 💯 to be exact or more they're probably devialet most likely listing peak power
@@marcfavell not sure what you're speaking about here. But to be clear of dB levels. The Boombox3 goes to about 103db, Diamondboxx M3 is about 114db I think, L3 is 121db, XL3 is 126db. So this smaller Devialet at 95db is not close to loudness of the others I'm speaking of. I have a Devialet Phantom 105db and it's great in the house. Far too fragile to really bring anywhere without the specific traveling case for it which is expensive itself.
El boombox 3 no tiene calidad d audio comparado con debialet y bowers & wilkings , solo tiene bajos pero su audio no es d calidad como debialet y bowers
The portable Devialet Mania to 700 bucks is the fair comparasion when it comes to sound and bass, and it sounds betther than any of the others. Devialet Phantom crushes the others in sound by far, but it is for home use not portable.
Why buy this expensive item when you get a denon N10 plus kef q150 at one third the price , as you cannot take it to outdoor! Buying jbl makes more sense. These expensive speakers are for rich to show off 😅😅😅
@@sampilahy2710 sir, I beg to differ, in blind test denon, marantz, yamaha with kef, polk or q acoustic speaker will destroy this showpiece hands down ! 😊
Not really. Few knows about the brand so exposer clearly helps. The comparison also illustrates the quality of the speaker as it gives it reference to something many people are familiar with. This comment of yours is parrotted alot because people are ostentatious
I think you should make comparisons with similar price ranges. Rather than a single speaker costing twice than some. It is illogical. Additionally, some are portable, some are not. Finally, you seem to give emphasis to quantity rather than quality.

You're right! That's what I said. Devialet sounds way better, but the JBL it is good enough and much louder. Cheers
JBL Boombox 3 goes deeper.
34 Hz maximum.
40 Hz is the frequency response, but the the maximum bass frequency extension is 34 Hz.

Nice review which one has the best sound for listening all day without be fatigue ?
Which sounds the best in terms of balance detail and soundstage?
The devialet it is way better, but it doesn't have very much power. Cheers

no I tried this speaker it produce big sound
Devialet is a professional sound brand and does not work for loudness and bass.
I never knew the Zeppelin was this big until it was compared to the Boombox

Should have compared them to a bigger phantom model
Thats like 8 times the price of any of the other speakers

Devialet sounds muddy af, you guys just care about bass only lol
Should include de brane x to this comparison
