Just bought this today, and have been blasting music for seven hours straight. The power and control of this system is simply mind bending. I was hoping for it to maybe come close to my 4000 dollar hifi system from 10 years ago. Turns out the JBL blows it out of the water in every way that matters.

Bro I'm high as a kite and this video made me question reality. When you said "Hey google, what's the weather", my (now peasant) S22 ultra galactis etc. responded, even though I've set it to only recognize my voice. Guess our voices must be too similar or something.

Floss if you want to see the speakers behind the grille, take your finger and pull on the grill on the top and work your way around. I got the Authentics 300 since that one has a battery. Nice video bro keep it up
I love the look of the Marshall the best. I would primarily use with my turntable for vinyl records.

Amazing review once again, even compared it to the 2 exact speakers I was wondering about... Only thing I would've like to hear, is how those speakers compare when you're a little further away, since these size speakers are typically used to fill large areas. I've heard some speakers sound way better than another when close, but further away it's the opposite, maybe due to having more of an open sound and the details in the music carrying better over distance (like 20-25ft away). I've been bamboozled before listening to an amazing speaker only to find out when I went to the restroom or just left the room in general the quality significantly degraded. I'm sure the JBL Authentic 500's would at the very least still be very respectable, but just wonder how they compare to the boombox 3 and the Marshall Woburn 3 further away. Really appreciate your reviews as always & nobody does tech reviews better imo. Thanks
the cayin LE sounds better, comparable to desktop combos, but astells are more engaging and pleasing to ears
i prefer cayin just bcs suits more for the usage, but for personal listening i prefer sp3000

Another outstanding review of the JBL Authentics 500 by Flossy Carter. I agree with your assessment and comparison with Marshall speakers. I totally concur with your review. If bass isn't present ....We aren't interested. Old schoolers know Pioneer and Marantz speakers killed everyone in the game with bass. You know!

Hi Flossy, nice video. I am very interested to buy this one, but what do you think about the Dolby atmos ? Is it efficient / différent enough than normal stereo ? On another video the reviewer say that the DA is not good / impressive in this speaker.

Floss, if you’re trying out more home speakers I’d recommend checking out the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin. It boasts a really beautiful design, supports the AptX Adaptive Bluetooth codec along with all of the other Wi-Fi enabled bells and whistles (voice assistant, Airplay 2, high res audio support etc) and I heard that it sounds pretty damn sweet too. As always though, if it ain’t got the floss stamp of approval then it’s a dud.
I agree they speaker looks nice but I personally prefer the phantom. I got to see them both in person at a local Best Buy and they looked dope. Too bad I couldn't test them 😕

personally i have tested the zeppelin , at first it sounds quite ok but after awhile i started to hate their sound signature. The treble is wayyy too bright/strong and the mid range isnt really there but im curious to see flossy's opinions on it
I do believe there’s some form of EQ adjustment available for the Zeppelin within the B&W app that could help tailor the sound to better suit one’s personal preference. I personally enjoy a more scooped out/v-shaped sound signature as I find it gives a more exciting listening experience. Would definitely be really interesting to hear floss’s verdict on the Zeppelin, hopefully he checks it out sometime.
@@lewis02mc true, but in general im not really a fan of their sound signature after testing some of their bookshelf series ( 600-700 ) but i can see what their main customers are
You can't go rong with jbl however this Bluetooth jbl 500 speaker blew me away. This bass kick like hell. Love this jbl 500 Bluetooth speaker. I don't if its $700 I am going to buy it any away.😮

JBL sounds massive, but i kind of prefer the look of the marshall. But for 700 bucks you cant complain at all and they both look amazing
I would recommend the tribit stormbox blast and for the price of this JBL box you can have 4 Tribit. Insane!

I just bought this speaker and it's Phenomenal! I have a 4000USD Bang & Olufsen which I Love but the Bass on this system is Rediculous! Well worth the money!

I’ve had this speaker for over a week now and I love it. It’s super clear and bass is rich and plentiful. You would never have to turn this full volume if you’re in house. It’s extremely loud. It’s not even a fair fight to compare it to boombox3.
I was trying to decide between a party box and the 500 and went with the 500 because I just didn’t want the party box aesthetic and prefer the 500’s beautiful design. I am loving this speaker so much and think I made the right choice.

A coupe years ago I got a set of Klipsh tower speakers and a Klipsh 12 inch subwoofer to go with them for $900 straight of the 'zon, new. (Bluetooth capable too) Much as I know JBL has great quality if we're looking at $700 dollars for a home speaker then I have to say, to me, it's a losing value proposition. I'd be more than happy to throw a hundred or so dollars on top of the asking prices of this and wind up with a set of quality tower speakers and a nice subwoofer.

The Marshall has better clarity but not more base than the JBL. People be sleeping on that Ethernet port but it’s great to see they include it. You never disappoint with the videos Floss! Now that was a Sound Test 😂.
