Steve's playing fits these compositions even better than I had imagined.
IKR, it was a cool show, finally got to see Adrian Belew!!

I saw videos of First show when was picking that part, here Is tapping. It sounds very well!
This is certainly one of the songs I was wondering how it would come out. My admiration for Steve Via just goes up. A wonderful version.
Its nice that You can hear him, me personally think Steve is way too low on mix.
How does Belew sing over those guitar syncopations. Miraculous
I was at this show. Definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen.
Wonderful performance of everyone, especially Steve Vai!
Astonishing!
Thank you very much for sharing!!!!
I was there last night thanks for recording this - I noticed he just started tapping that part - last week vai was picking that section
Interesting. It would think doing that much tapping would be even more difficult but guess it's easier for SV.
Picking is way harder
no doubt
Tapping it's easier on his shoulder.
@@pitpride1220Watching this I wondered about him
Playing himself into more surgery by the end of the tour.
Was at this show as well! Adrian’s vocals were on point!!!!
That’s some intense guitar playing
I was wondering how he would sound filling Fripp's shoes....was blown away. Best Man for the job.
@@sludge1298 you got that right!!😄
What a leap from that first show! Sparklingly confident!! Thank you.
I love Steve tapping his part at 1:10...I can't pick that either ;) (yes, that is a joke of course.) Got my tickets for Thousand Oaks; dying of anticipation. I saw KC several times in this era, and have always thought it was some of the best music I'd ever heard.
He's mainly tapping because of his shoulder injury. It's easier on him. He did a great job with the parts I think!
Now they have really warmed up. Amazing🎶🖖
Grazie Steve
A lineup for artists that appreciate monet! Very specific. Very beautififul!
Wow! Really good job on this recording… Much better than the average bear… Can’t wait to see them here in Florida soon
Great job! I love beat!
Find someone who loves you the way Steve Vai's fingers love a fretboard.
Man that sounds amazing.
Even Vai has to two-hand tap to keep up with Fripp!
Totally! Fripp cannot be topped. But I do think it's cool that Steve does a great job playing Robert's parts in his own style, rather than just slavishly try to imitate Robert's style. I'm seeing these guys place in Chicago in November and I could not be more excited!
Vai had a bad injury to his right forearm quite a while ago. On top of that, he had surgery for his shoulder sometime around the pandemic. I think he's doing a hell of a job considering all that.
That riff is relentless
I'd like to see Petrucci take a swing at it.
Excellent.
Vai is back!
Thats tight!
So good. Steve tearing it up. 😅
Stunning and beautiful sounding music cheers don 🎸😊
haha this is where tool got the intro to 7empest from :D
Hah Belew counting the one toward the end, i dont know how the hell they do it!
yeah what happens at the end? someone gets off but I don't hear it, or maybe he's just calling off 1 as a matter of routine. F'ing amazing either way
@@Willriii if you watch he’s mouthing the count
Good stuff!
Diaaablo
Shut up and enjoy whatever song they play, crowd
blurring the line between crimson projekt and cover band - why not? sounds great
Did not know of Zappa's influence to this extent untill recently er a er aamazing.Even any hic wold be s in their depends yer opinion
Show a little right hand technique Vai
🥴
havin Vai there is weird AF. He plays too much
second this.
Totally disagree. Steve is playing Fripp's parts to a "T". Yeah Steve adds some flash by tapping some parts where Robert picked, though I don't find it distracting. If anything Adrian goes over the edge more often than not. ruclips.net/video/IpMyf9EJDFA/видео.htmlsi=Jlw0lkNOETgbpgjX
There's literally no other guitar that could fill this role. I think he did well. He played the parts without sacrificing his own voice.
Bullshit he’s perfection!
