There are several older and talented "ringers" in the orchestra to complement some of the young soloists through their parts, but I can understand why. Just loved it.

Each of these young people could find a place in any of the top orchestras in the world. Individually they are top rate, put them together and you have a masterpiece of orchestral playing.
Every time! I mean, Every time I hear this great symphony I have deeply loved for 60 years, it brings tears to my eyes! When I was about 12 years old, I began having a love of “the Classics” and excelled way better in elementary school in music than most of the students in my class in “music memory “ contest. Almost 60 years ago, my award for identifying various small bits of famous “Classical Music” composition numbers was: “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Moussorgsky/Ravel and performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (RCA Red Seal Records 1958) conducted by the famous Fritz Reiner. The pace of the music I enjoy more due to its emotional emphasis for especially appreciating the chord structures to bring the tears to the eyes & enlighten the human heart and soul. Now, today, (2-25-2022)…the Russian Invasion on Ukraine, the “Gates of Kiev” are tumbling…and the world is again at the “crossroads “ of a huge war. This composition “Pictures at an Exhibition” make every musical movement come to life with emotion as one hears this great symphony. Pray for peace! These young people and conductor of Poland can feel the pressures of war, even more now.
Should have filmed an extra 5 minutes to see if these ungrateful people in the audience would get up from their seats and give these kids and that fantastic conductor the respect they deserved Period !!!!!

I'm actually playing this exact same piece in my youth orchestra as well (but we don't have an actual bell for The Great Gate of Kiev). It's very difficult but this orchestra played it extremely well as usual!

I had never listened to all of Pictures at an Exhibition before. I had heard some of it and I enjoyed Emerson, Lake and Palmer's renditions of parts and Tomita's "The Ballet of the Chicks in Their Shells" but this was truly enjoyable on a different more complex level.

Wspaniałe wykonanie. Jedyny zarzut jaki mam to do "Bydła" - tu naprawdę powinna być tuba tenorowa/euphonium/saxhorn barytonowy. Tubista ma porządną skalę i fajne brzmienie, ale brak tego naprawdę tenorowego tembru, co sprawia że góra nie wybrzmiewa aż tak jak powinna. Ale co instrumentacja, to i aranżacja.
Beautiful , could listen to them play all day but does anyone notice the young man with the saxophone on the right who fell asleep? Classic!! Slept thru the whole concert never once raised his instrument!! I dont kno how you could doze off to this great piece of music but he did. And again just a beautiful sound - Great job all you musicians !!!
