Pretty sure the one with the counter weight usually goes on the side opposite of the drive side to balance the weight diff between the drive and non drive side. That's how my 72 is set up anyways... and yes those slots as person mentioned above, is to manually adjust the pads in or out against the hubs!
And just seen where u asked if they sent u the wrong one, I'm gonna say they definitely sent ya the wrong one bro... but if it's working then I wouldn't worry bout it, just won't be able to adjust ur pads
Yes I thought so as well but I looked at the model number on the box it came in and it was right so I'm not sure if maybe it wasn't made right but it seems to work haven't driven the truck down the road but move it in and out of the garage it brakes fine
I haven't installed the hand brake my cable linkage was rusted need to order a new one, but theres a brake lever towards the bottom where you connect the cable
@@h.i.sc-10tips31 awesome, I bought an 83’ c10 not long ago but I believe the previous owner removed the linkage and levers to the parking brake. Should there be two levers?
@@SuperBeastin247 each drum has it's own lever then the 2 cables go to a plate that connects them to a single cable that goes to the parking lever that's the way mine was setup
Thank for the content, but you should not show people where you live ;) And isn't that a counter weight? And the hole i think is for when you need to ajust the shoes when the drum is on
