Amazing Athlete, thank you Matt, Crazy to believe these Pros can push a 2:34 Marathon after a 112 mile bike!!! I did Cozumel in 2017 and I had my best race ever, 🏊♂️ 1:00:25, the current pushed me, pretty decent bike 🚴♂️ in 5:12:19, wind was not as bad as Matt probably experienced, we had 10-15mph, I've heard they can get up 25+mph....and the dreaded run 🏃♂️, 4:16:27, total time 10:37:01 for 54 year old man....Triathlon saved my life from a dark time in my life...Goal Setting and pushing limits is the Drug that empowers the mind to forget abouts the day to day bullshit we can all sucumb too, if we are not careful, from Depression to Dopamine junky!!! Another great interview mike, thanks for bringing in a different kind of warrior!!
Mike can you interview Kyle Lamb ex-delta? That would be an amazing interview hopefully it would be 4 hours long. He just seems really down to earth and extremely knowledgeable. Please and Thank you Sir!
I used to absolutely love road biking. Did a LOT of it in my younger days. Still have a road bike, but am terrified to be on the road with distracted drivers.
Being from Iowa this was so cool! RAGBRI is a party on bikes. I have done sprint tris and have a half iron on my bucket list. Did you see his iron man tattoo?
Speaking of races, maybe you can get Thom Shea and other SEALs who are pioneers of Eco-challenges now racing for scholarships of kids of fallen SpecOps guys
The Gauloises started much earlier but these guys basically got Eco-challenge franchise off the ground with Mark Burnett later. Can still remember the televised shows they put a Team guy in a group with Playboy bunnies lol
Hey Mike, once again great podcast. For future guests, if you can. Would you be able to get Ron Marhs, Justin Sheffield, Aaron Kendall, Marcus Capone or any of the Renner brothers? Please and thank you kindly sir.
ho hum... quite an accomplished fella but your slackin bro . . . . e.g. Joy Hills, Dakota Myers, John Nore, Laura, Mike Day .....Ed Gallagher . . .comon'
Mr. Ritland, don't know if you read these comments, but if you do.... Please try to get Dr. Kevin Gilmartin on the podcast. What he has to say to LEO's will literally save and/or prolong their life.
I don’t agree with all that sugar I run on fat now but 13 miles is the longest I’ve gone so I am sure you need some carbs but I just couldn’t do it with that sugar😝. I wonder how his blood work is 🤷♀️
Ha, my blood work is fine. As you go faster, you burn a higher % of CHO at an exponential rate. In order to maintain a high intensity for 8 hours, you need to supplement CHO...and that needs to be in a way that is convenient to carry on my bike, fast absorbing, and doesn't cause GI distress.
Awesome 😎
Mike will surpass Rogan in a few short years. He's a great interviewer and always gives respect. Keep it up Mike.

This is great one so far. The more nutritional information the better. Thank you both.
Thank you Mike. An excellent start to the day.
Nice, ramping the Drop schedule back up! Keep em coming Mike!
Great episode Mike.
Thank you.
Great way to start my day off!
Another home run of an interview!

Good stuff.
Great interview, he has a very nice smile.
My fastest marathon was 3:53, he was killing it!!
Ritland's N. TX weather forecast: EXTREME pleasure

right way to start off a monday. thank you
Nike is not a sports label, but a greek goddess = JUST DO IT
Mike's interview partner just DID IT
The only thing I run from is running. Still a great episode Mike!
I didn't know Stephen Colbert ran triathlons. Great job Mike.
Speaking of races, maybe you can get Thom Shea and other SEALs who are pioneers of Eco-challenges now racing for scholarships of kids of fallen SpecOps guys
I don't know how pioneering they are, the Raid Gauloises started in the 80's, and there were "special" participants that entered.
The Gauloises started much earlier but these guys basically got Eco-challenge franchise off the ground with Mark Burnett later. Can still remember the televised shows they put a Team guy in a group with Playboy bunnies lol

Love the cross-genre content. See if you can get Lionel Sanders in for an interview.

Missing you Mike

Nice show. Mike had to adjust a little to interview someone who doesn’t swear or take out bad men with guns.
HAHAHAHAHA, my momma might have been listening, had to keep it clean.
Matt Hanson you are a good son. 😉
You're the fucking man Mike!!👍
I’m thinking, meh... Ironman competitor, boring. Then I heard the coke comment and I’m definitely going to listen to what this guy has to say 😂
The coke comment won you over over the s**Ting yourself conversation? HA!
@Matt Hanson
Thought the real secret to success was in Casey’s pizza there in West Concord. Haha
@@NODAK9 I was in West Concord before Casey's...it was Motor Mart when I was growing up!
No ass-cracking intros this time.
Did you say no guns?
interview is over thanks for coming out.

Matt Hanson that’s awesome, I figured at your level you checked it.
@@leahlandi143 Yes, definitely. Full panel every six months or so.
