Uncle Rudy, you don't think the 57/58 Eldorado Brougham's with the stainless steel roofs, suicide rear doors, etc. had the edge in styling on this? I do.
@@tomtransport This car has been beautifully upgraded with modern creature comforts, and subtle customization, like wheel size, air suspension, modern brakes, a/c, and more, so, no. A stock 57/58 ss roof Eldorado Brougham wouldnt even come close to this car, in my opinion.
@@steveharrigan7811 You need to read other posts not just your own. This is what I wrote in my other comment on this car not 5 comments away..=== "I'll be 80 this year so I remember these when new. With the way this car was redone I can truthfully say, it's better then new". I clearly recognized the upgrades in my post, you need to read and comprehend the English written word better. BTW, where/when did I say I would rather have a "STOCK" 57/58 ss roof Eldorado Brougham? They are out there upgraded just as this was. As to the styling when both were new, the 57/58 ss roof Eldorado Brougham buried this Seville in my opinion.

Wow!! No criticism from here!! Absolute pristine luxury, and a true collector! Without a doubt THE nicest Cadillac I have ever seen, and for a serious collector ... Perfect colors in and out, and one can tell, nothing spared in this restoration. This car truly is museum quality! It's a comfort knowing that this awesome Caddy will end up in a home where it will be loved and well cared for. Great find .... well shown and described, as they always are.
58 Cadillac is my fav yr. This Seville is the best I've ever seen. Drooling over it. I'd buy it for my father if I had the money. He had a 58 series 62 50 + yrs ago and we still talk about it. This is an unbelievable restoration worth every dollar. I envy the next owner! 😍
No doubt about it, nearly $200,000 is a lot to pay for a vehicle. But this Classic is Worth Every Bit Of It! This car is Absolutely Gorgeous, and if you are going to restore a vehicle, this is the way to do it!! The Restorer left no stone uncovered. Also, if you are going to buy a Classic like this, this is the way you wanna buy it.....already done, and done to the Nth Degree!!! Cudos to the person who restored this beauty!!!!.
OVER the TOP what a unbelievable gorgeous caddie everything was done in absolutely pristine condition, I don't know how Jay finds these incredible examples of pure Detroit artwork what a wonderful investment!!! Thanks Jay for bringing such beautiful cars back to life.
most people think of the '59 when thinking of 50's finned Cadillacs, but I love the '58...last of the Harley Earl design...full of chrome and size and detail. This car is absolutely stunning, and I don't use that word often...no superlative can describe it adequately. Amazing. I have a '58 Fleetwood survivor car, and I always thought that it had real presence, but this is just over the top...the bomb if there ever was one. I really really want those 17" sabres for my car
I have been around beautiful cars for at least 40 years. I also seek out stunning vehicles every single day and have for a long long time and this is perhaps the most gorgeous example I have ever seen that was actually for sale. Un-freaking-believable. I tip my hat for just finding it let alone being able to offer it for sale. No if only I had the dough! Cheers!
Something about the lighting in this room that accentuates the beauty and colours of any car that's showcased. Pure bright white light reflecting off anything glossy.

What a beauty! Back when cars were way more than just mere "transportation"! Nothing was overlooked! From mid-fifties to early-seventies is still my favorite vintage, with a few rare exceptions including exotics; No apologies!
Glad I checked out video true rare bird this 58 Seville. Many are more familiar with 58 Eldorado convertible or confuse with 58 coupe. Mind was blown to know this was a frame off restoration ( best way to go in my opinion). Can see a spare no expense attitude was applied, simply beautiful!
It's the best looking Cadillac ever and worth it to those who don't mind paying for all the " Bells and Whistles" keeping them in working order. So when I sell my Yacht in Monaco there should just enough to pay for this. I once bought a 60' Coupe DeVille and found out the hard way.😥😥
Beautiful car. Had my heart set on a 1958 Brougham but quite frankly I don’t know the difference between a Brougham and a Seville. Either way this car is BEAUTIFUL. Thank you for the video.

Couple of questions. Where is the passenger side mirror? ('58 Caddys had them.) Is it just me, or does this beauty look to low to the ground? And lastly, whilst backing her out of the garage, why the stopping and then putting her back in reverse. (And then she seemed to bang in reverse while out of the garage.)

I'll be 80 this year so I remember these when new. With the way this car was redone I can truthfully say, it's better then new. I was disappointed When Cadillac lowered the Dagmar's in the front of the 58's, I like the style of the 57's better in that regard. That's just a personal choice, I'm sure there are others who love the 58 design. This is a beautiful car but if were to spend the money this is going for I would rather buy a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham in black with the stainless steel roof and suicide rear doors. I saw a brand new one new in a showroom in Philadelphia, it was late 1957 or early 1958, I was 15/16 years old and my mouth fell open , my eyes popped and I think I froze in place in a trance for 5 minutes or more. In my minds eye I can still see it.
I could not take a car like this out on the public roads without panicking that even a stone would fly up and chip the beautiful paint. And I just about lost it when it was pulled out into the wet frozen world, hope there was no salt in those puddles! This car is just too perfect to take outside! Wish I had the money to buy it and maintain it in this condition.
@@waterboy8999 kind of looked like puddles as it pulled out of the garage. Still wet and possibly salted driveway, not what i would like to do with a $200,000 pretty much one of a kind classic. This car is too beautiful to even take out! In anything but a dry sunny day.
@@TripReviews they were puddles alright, kinda surprised me, so there must be salt or underfloor heating, I wouldn't take that baby out 2 yards in that.
@@waterboy8999 yeah that’s a pretty good conclusion. Sure is a nice Cadillac! A car like that would be nice if the buyer could have some way to talk to the previous owner about the car. 3 years ago my son bought a 2016 mustang gt high performance model with some special rare factory options and a bunch of extra add on after market stuff from a new car dealer. It had no miles/kilometres on it. The former owner traded it in along with a 2016 Harley Davidson bike with no miles on it and an Expedition in on a single new car. Strange situation and no one at the dealer would divulge the storey behind it all saying they had no idea as to why. So it’s a mystery why and what my son paid for the mustang was cheap even then and now it is valued at least $18,000 more than what he paid for it. Sometimes you can get lucky. Now his mustang still only has 17,000 km’s on it, about 10,500 miles and never winter driven.
I love the car I don't like the fact that there's a $13,000 air ride on it those cars rolled like they were on air anyways it's something that wasn't needed I love the beauty of the car I like the fact it's got the disc brakes all the way around that's an upgrade for sure but I don't need no freaking $13,000 air ride
It rode like it was on air because it was, it had factory air ride. The upgraded air suspension gets rid of the body roll and keeps it flat in the corners and when braking so it's safer to drive, you can adjust the ride height look of it for shows or personal preference, change the firmness for road conditions, and raise it higher than stock when going over speed bumps/tables or in and out of steep driveways and parking lots so you don't damage the extremely expensive chrome bumpers or drag the belly of it and have to pay to get it redone again. You could spend that much and a lot more on taking apart, re-chroming, reassembling and aligning those bumpers and trim pieces so it's a safety investment for your chrome. Plus it gets rid of the factory air pump running off the motor taking the work load off it and freeing up horsepower to get that heavy thing moving.
