I feel it’s difficult to add such a mode because the story was written in a way that you unlock these powers/skills with the progression of the story. If they wrote the story another way only then new game+ will be possible.
I am so grateful for this game. Came at a time in which I had lost passion for gaming and was tired of rewatching the movies/reading the books. Loved it and helped me feel the HP Universe for myself. Hopefully they get a sequel out ASAP with a lot more content (took me like 60 hrs to finish the main quest and all side stuff) and some RPG elements so our choices actually influence what happens in the Universe.
those exclusives are worthless. Seriously I did that haunting house quest on ps5 and I remember literally nothing of it except there was a house and it was fukking dark there.
@kovacsbenjamin7960 even if it is worthless, I still paid the same exact amount as a PS5 player and got less content. It's the principle of the matter imo. I was also annoyed when Sony did this exact thing with Destiny 2 back in the day with some exotic weapons.
I love the game so much, people say "it's boring" now without a DLC, which I can see but I just finished my 2nd playthrough and love it just as much as the first. Some repetitive cracks show early on in the 2nd playthrough, and It is a game you would want to play through the story maybe once a year or even less to space it out, but it's still a very good game for what it is. Hope the sequel expands on the lacking features and gives more depth to them too!
@alexwalters35 True, most games would jump on a DLC rather quick. Though I don't expect one, I still wouldn't completely rule it out yet, it's only been a year and a few months, took Cyberpunk years for Phantom Liberty, 2 years for Elden Ring DLC, so you never know what the next year or so will bring, but even so I'm content with what we have. WB probably thinks it's best to save resources for a sequel, make a bigger package basically.
@@alexwalters35the only reason the game sold well is because there’s been a craving for a HP game for a long time now, but the game was garbage and numbers dwindled instantly, no reason to make dlc for A game that dies over a weekend
@@alexwalters35If they're working on a sequel, DLCs or expansions would be a waste of resources. They're far less profitable and only really make sense in games that either have live-service multiplayer elements or games that will never have a sequel, so the only way to continue making money from it from existing players is to provide new in-game content.
I played the game and most of its content. Once the story is over there's really no reason to play because there's no end game at all. Going around doing collectibles is outdated because of Ubisoft and studios like it adding a nightmarish amount of them that do nothing for the game besides give small bits of XP. People have been begging for a DLC and for a game that broke sales records they should listen to fans. The open world was fun but most of it has nothing in it. The forbidden forest was super tiny compared to everything else. I envisioned the forbidden forest to be as massive and creepy as it was in the books and movies. Enemy variety was also terrible. Most enemy types are reskins. Dueling Club was shockingly disappointing, no quidditch (can't spell that word), and you only went to classes once. People wanted to experience the classes on top of having an actual story. Like How Bully was. The game was fun it was severely lacking any content outside of the story and region bosses. Mini games were some of my favorite things to do in old HP games. Like in Order of the Pheonix wizard's chess and that marbles game were super fun to do and at time challenging. Half Blood Prince even had a constant quidditch and dueling club game as well as potions. I never finished that game because my PS3 started having problems, but I loved it. SO many things in the older games could've been made to expand side content but they barely added any. The game may as well have been just a normal story game with no open world or hub area. I did however get my money's worth from it. I had fun but the ending just left me empty and disappointed that there wasn't much to do aside from story and getting collectibles. They haven't listened much to the community on what needs to be added or improved despite breaking records in sales. Doesn't seem like a gamer friendly company. Especially since the second one will be live service.
You can just feel the amount of love put into the world design especially hogwarts. First playthrough really made me relive childhood memories from reading the books and playing the old Harry Potter games, it was so good.
Console exclusive quest imo is a big deal because your cutting out content for other platforms while still expecting them to pay full price and doing stuff like that just leads to even more being cut out potentially in a different game if its accepted. Hated it when they did it in marvels avengers for Spiderman
You can look at it as content that was cut out if you want to, but it's more accurate to say that it's content which wouldn't have existed at all without Sony giving them the funds to develop it in exchange for a temporary period of exclusivity.
Because Sony actually want people to play on their consoles, it’s not Sonys fault that Microsoft has stopped caring about their consoles and not putting effort to sell them.
@@keiichi8191 Not only untrue but irrelevant either way. Sony is desperate for people to play on their inferior platform instead of PC same as Xbox, if people pay the price for a game, they get the content. Holding it back for something that is never going to happen is pathetic and greedy
@@ImViruxx They will never get PC players to go play on their inferior platform. The Helldivers situation tells you everything you need to know about Sony and how PC views them
the broom was the only good mount in the game. I was really disappointed when you finally unlock the grpyhon, and the land walking creature, and both controlled badly, they felt bad to control and were slow.
Actually the controls give a good feel of how it is to actually navigate with an animal. Which is you working with a reaction time of an animal and it's a heavy one, too. Maybe you've never been riding on a horseback? I have and it felt funnily appropriate to use the HL mount controls 😂
The Devs were very open about the small size of this update from the very beginning, that it would just be a little treat and nothing special. Most of them are off working on the Sequel anyway, and the game was a nice complete package for the price anyway. Anything we get for free now after release is nice to have, so if people are butthurt now because they expected like 20 new missions or shit like that, thats on them honestly
But they did hyped this update up months ago, it wasn’t always just a small, they kept hinting at things and modes, only to just bring in the most overrated mode of all in Photomode.
Exactly! They really weren't overhyping it, it was the community that did that then blamed them for not getting the unrealistic amount of content that they'd wanted. As others ha e said, this is a non-live service, single player game that's been out for over a year, the fact we got a FREE content update at all is more than they were ever obligated to give us.
No, I think people just wanted all the content they paid for and gameplay stability. Nobody got EITHER and the main change they made was just unlocking exclusives. The game still runs like ass and probably worse than before the "new" stuff was added. If you didnt consider this, thats on **you**.
@@XxkemiluvsuxXthe content they paid for was the game, what are you yapping about? The devs explicitly said before release that they weren’t gonna to do any dlc and they stuck to that

Dementors and Expecto Patronum (Dont know how but they could have figured it out) 21. Choosing between christmas at hogwarts or at home/diagon alley? 22. Diagon Alley shopping spree beginning of the year. 23. A tight friend trio (like Harry, Ron, Hermione) 24. Side quests where you have to hide from another Filch type character(squib janitor) 25. Actual consequences to your actions 26. Meeting Voldemorts grandfather at hogwarts(already kind of evil / Maybe a Draco malfoy type) 27. Being able to read the daily prophet a few times 28. The game was complete for PS users. Not the general playerbase. I’m more upset with the lack of QoL features they could have added. But still, an aversion on their part to DLC from the get go makes no sense from a financial aspect.
What i have always wanted and waited for is a game that syncs with your actual location, time of day, and weather. To me that would be so epic. If it’s storming outside, then it’s storming in game.

How can you be disappointed? Theyve been very upfront about everything in this update for many months now. They made it perfectly clear that this was just to unlock ps exclusives for other platforms and add photo mode. This was never dlc, it was always just a regular update. Theyve also been very clear from before the game even released that there will be NO DLC at all for this game as theyre working on the sequel already. Its on you for not understanding that
@TheParkerThirteen my lad, I don't have the time in the day to follow every companies socials and religiously review every public statement they make. I have a full time job, a relationship, friends and more hobbies than just gaming and even when it comes to gaming I own thousands of games across a dozen systems & pc, I'm sorry you think it's my job to know every single announcement a dev makes on a game I specifically said I had dropped months ago. It's a massively popular game that has made hundreds of millions of dollars, I'm sorry I expected their extremely hyped summer update they've released multiple marketing strategies for to be more than a photo mode
@@Trinket_Master their "hyped" summer update is only hyped because of youtubers, not the developers. so blame all the fake youtubers and content creators for that one.
@SnakeEater503 true but also not true, I have definitely seen full page adverts for this update specifically on X and Instagram, most developers don't do advertising for a tiny update. This whole game is just really weirdly managed imo, it's one of the most successful games of last year, under one of the world's biggest franchise names and yet it's borderline abandoned despite fan interest still being huge even a year later. A medium sized update that just added some small snippets of content like some new beasts, a new location, better dynamic weather or chance encounters. That would be enough but yet nothing. It's a bit of a side tangent I know and I love this game but it's weird how they've been handed gold and they've just thrown most of it away
I know I'm late, but the fact that the base game doesn't allow you to change season still pisses me off. The option being kinda available in the photo mode is just insult to injury.
I had fun with this game and found it a good game to relax with, I just wish there was more to do. The open world is just a big collectathon. I enjoy exploring Hogwarts but it'd be nice to have a reason to explore, like there are so many places and rooms for you to go to but no reason to be there.
Agree. It would have especially been nice to attend more classes and have a structured night/day schedule where you actually hang out in your dorm room and the great hall. After the first few 'days' you are just adrift without any sense of being an actual student.
I didn't even get to finish the full game yet since launch... I remember playing like half of the story then I got bored stopped playing and totally forgot it existed. I don't hate the game don't get me wrong it just lost my interest very quickly. The missions just seemed the same.
All 4 houses have some different quests, so there is replayability here (plus you can choose to play as a douch in your second playthrough), but I agree a lot of the game will play exactly the same
I thinking pointing this out is excessive lol... Like sure, maybe a such a small update doesn't warrant a video but his content is pretty chill, and I can never say no to Luke's videos, they're just light on the heart and brain and generally a fun pass time. No complaints!
Did they really need a full year and four months to give out this tiny update? I’m on Playstation so the only new thing is photo mode and talent points
@abeaconintheoffice If so, I’m all for it! But this particular update was not enough to bring me back. But I have gotten the platinum trophy on both the PS4 and PS5 version, so I don’t really have anything to play for, being a trophy hunter and all
I dont know if anyone else has said this, but i believe the glasses were in reference to Harry's glasses before Hermione fixed them during their first meeting.
I think a lot of people forget that this game is MASSIVE in size. Sometimes, with open world games, it takes a little longer for certain textures to load in, or there's a lag here or there. The haunted hogsmead quest was crazy and blew my mind, lol. I agree that we should be able to change seasons. Halloween is my favorite 😂
Luke narrowing on the photo mode isnt his fault, video games like this and Senua are expecting photo mode to do a lot of heavy lifting when its so miniscule to players
Whelp. I was disappointed when I found out you weren’t actually going to start out a student from the beginning and was hopeful that the classes would be magical and now I’m disappointed that there really isn’t an update….
2:25 .... isn't... transmog already IN the game? i'm on PC, pretty damn sure you can just, have any outfit you want set, with whatever better item stats under the visuals.
i just wish there was more to do after you finish the story. and i can't believe they haven't added quidditch yet. competitive quidditch tournaments would probably bring back so many players
Ive really enjoyed this game. I was surprised completely when they started updating it all of a sudden. I thought for sure it was forgotten and done. Im happy they are giving us things that used to be exclusive to platforms or game editions. They seem to have taken a bunch of shortcuts all over the game. The Switch version is a good example of how shortcuts can be taken to get the game to play basically. I think they did the same shortcut thing to begin with to get the game out and playing initially. Thats why the render thing with the grass you showed happens. One of many shortcuts. Thats why the pathing is goify in some areas and things tend to glitch going in and out of cutscenes.
Personally no. Idc about quidditch because it's basically just any other sport idc/like sports anyways so a quidditch dlc would have been so disappointing for me
@@KxNOxUTA Yes. I had this problem. Amazon seems to have a massive problem lately of sending Americans Euro versions of the game. Bought Hogwart's Legacy on the Switch - Highway robbery, I paid full price for a game that barely runs with iPhone graphics and ghastly cut downs. So much wrong with the copy, there's no Hogwarts feel to the school or grounds, loading screens everywhere, poor fps and unplayable quests. Man, Hogwarts Legacy was really such a moment in gaming for me. Despite it's issues there really is nothing like it, overall. This update doesn't seem like much but i'm hearing we're getting a Directors Cut? excited for that. Hope they really expand on things in a sequel.
The rendering issue is not only on your part mate. Ever since the update the same thing happens to me currently even. Not only that, but I wanted to change the graphics into a higher quality with the option the game gives you. Mind you I play on PS5 and with a great TV that can support this and yet the game crashes every time I have this option on. But when I turned it off it has the rendering issues
8:00 I have absolutely no issues with the game running on my Xbox… bugs like that must be isolated to PCs, or due to some custom ‘mod’, because the weather also works fine for me!
@@ryanwhite9103 You'd think the terrible writing and disastrous attempt at a live service co op game failing so bad would wake them up. WB just doubled down and because of them and Rocksteady, Rocksteady doesn't exist anymore.
I understand your wish but as a game dev myself I could see why the option wasn't added for spells. It breaks the lore if you already know all spells from the beginning while you begin as a student with limited knowledge and experience. I think also because WB is fumbling the bag as usual.
I really hope the next HP game that comes out is you just playing through years 1-7 as a normal student, classes and all. Life Sim or RPG style with more attention put into the castle and less on the open world. Let me make a character and turn them into a potions expert or a dueling champion over the course of many dozens of hours.
What I think the Liquid Luck potion should have done is increase your changes of getting higher rarity clothing items from enemies & loot chests, that would have fit better with the whole "Luck" aspect
My only thought would be they’re not adding it cause they want people to play the game and be done with it, it’s notable they haven’t added any story expanding dlc so it really seems like they want people to experience the story the way it’s meant to and then move on, adding a post game feature like changing seasons doesn’t seem like part of the vision
I bet developers weren't even planning these things to begin with. WB probably never supported post launch content to begin with thinking it wouldn't do as good as it did. So I'm pretty sure this is just the team actually wanting to give back to players at least an ounce of hope that next time it would be more. But yeah, it has sooo much potential if they would just let the team work on it.
I just bought the game for 40 bucks a few weeks ago and I’m having a blast. I’m about half way if not 3/4 done with the game and I’m glad to hear they added even more. I’m about 30 hours in at level 26.
I hope the second game is better because this game feels so dead. Big ass map for the sake of having a big ass map. I loved going through the castle but the NPCs are just dead and there's no soul. I need that larian attention to detail
Theory as to why season change isn't working for you: you said you typically reload a save file that's in winter to record your footage, and by the looks of it; that's what you did here. Is it possible that the season change doesn't let you change the season when you're technically "in the story"? If I'm right, you can load a save file from a completed file and the season change might work on that file.
It was a fun game worth it if you didn't buy it full price but I wouldn't replay it even with the update. Or maybe I might play it again after a playthrough of Mass effect. I always end up very emotional after I play the trilogy and having a light and easy to play game ready to go helps me get out of it.
I know they said no Quidditch ever, but realistically that's the only thing that's really going to get people to go back to the game at this point. Definitely not reinstalling a game I 100%'d last year for a photo mode and one quest.
You know what would also be nice? If they include the whole game on disc for consoles without connecting to the Internet to download majority of the data for it to work but that's asking too much from western AAA game publishers like WB, EA and Ubisoft nowadays.
Even if they did it as End Game only that would be cool. Like after the conclusion of the main story add the ability to switch seasons for Ambience, like they have the Ambience change for the Room of Requirement.
I never got to finish the game (plan to), but I'm a tad surprised by no addition of NG+ -not gonna rant about exclusivity because we've all had that talk.
They probably just thing it isn't worth the effort. Which, to be honest, it really isn't. It's a very casual game with a largely casual audience. Most of them aren't interested in NG+.
@@TheOldMan-75 Most people I talk to are trying to do multiple playthroughs because they want to experience all of the houses, but it could be they're in the minority. I was personally more hopeful for DLC with added quests, but it is what it is.
My main gripe with Howard’s legacy can’t be fixed with a dlc, that being, it’s a story game, not a true RPG. Its fun and whimsical but I was hoping for a real RPG where you could really choose your own path and make choices that really effected the narrative and relationships. Sure, there are some choices to make and you can quest at your own leisure but overall the game is quite linear no matter how you decide to play.
Rocksteady is apparently working on a goty edition too. I wouldn't be surprised at all if a ton of monetization is pumped into the game, or if it is otherwise hobbled. Hell I wouldn't be shocked if the goty edition installs over previous versions, a la GTA 3-SA.
Downloaded it from steam again, and it crashed within 10 minutes of a new character... maybe its the Raytracing load so high on the system but seems it still could do some more work when using RT.
After all the bug reports I've filed since the Switch release, they still didn't fix the bug with the A and B buttons. If you reconfigure the A and B buttons in the Switch setup, when you cast a spell with the A button it cast the B button spell...and B cast A. Thing is they function as intended everywhere else. How do you get through to these people...I though that was what bug reports were for.
I just played for the first time and didn't know the shop quest was new content. The dissapointment when after all of that epic quest the shop was a lie. I mean it said i could sell anything... At least sell by gear for 50% extra...
Would love it if I could actually play it. Did a fresh install of it yesterday as I finished the game shortly after it released, and it crashes every 15-30 minutes or so. No warning, no error, just kicks me back to Desktop. Happening to others as well. It seems as if they didn’t really “test” it at all. Also colors look totally washed out now and getting random stuttering. It never did this before in my first play through.
I was shaking after I finished the update. I’m terrified of mannequins and then suddenly showing up around me after I used lumos in a dark room freaked me out completely
Got the deluxe edition on sale for 33 dollars excellent purchase so far and I don’t even have the talent tree brooms or half the spells yet. I’m playing speed for graphical fidelity and I’ve only had a few glitches mostly innocuous clock physics issues and come clipping or pop in rarely
As someone who has done everything to 100%, this update does NOT give me a good enough reason to re download the game! I was hoping and expecting for something...more!
This was perfect timing for me. I started to play 7 months ago or so and had over 60hours into game, mostly doing all side quest. So when I finally was ready to get into main campaign, I lost all my data and for some reason nothing was backed up and yes I had ps plus at thec time. But w this mod it gives me a reason to go at it another time. Hopefully i don't lose my saves this time lol.
Only took them 16 MONTHS for them to unlock that Hogsmeade mission to everyone else. I sold that game back in December and completely forgot about it. Guess I'll never play because of some stupid exclusive agreement that probably made zero difference for the studio or PS

You can look at it as content that was cut out if you want to, but it's more accurate to say that it's content which wouldn't have existed at all without Sony giving them the funds to develop it in exchange for a temporary period of exclusivity.
just soyny things
Not a gryphon
Actually the controls give a good feel of how it is to actually navigate with an animal. Which is you working with a reaction time of an animal and it's a heavy one, too.
Maybe you've never been riding on a horseback? I have and it felt funnily appropriate to use the HL mount controls 😂
i loved them because it was super cinematic
The Devs were very open about the small size of this update from the very beginning, that it would just be a little treat and nothing special. Most of them are off working on the Sequel anyway, and the game was a nice complete package for the price anyway. Anything we get for free now after release is nice to have, so if people are butthurt now because they expected like 20 new missions or shit like that, thats on them honestly
But they did hyped this update up months ago, it wasn’t always just a small, they kept hinting at things and modes, only to just bring in the most overrated mode of all in Photomode.
It's funny u use the word small. It's was a 58gb update. For what was added feels bloated and excessive.
The devs explicitly said before release that they weren’t gonna to do any dlc and they stuck to that
THIS IS WHAT I WANTED:
1. no major external threat
2. many classes (challenging)
3. goofy side missions (like giving crab and goyle the cupcakes type of stuff)
4. even bigger castle (no big countryside just the forest/hogsmeade and the castle)
5. quidditch (instead of this god awful looking new quidditch game coming up)
6. house cup
7. sneaking at night quests
8. a bigger and scarier forbidden forest
9. detention side quests
10. a personal owl that interacts with you
11. arriving and leaving at kings cross / platform 9 3/4
12. finding the secret passages
13. potion classes
14. O.W.L's
15. Bully/Rival (like Draco)
16. Cozy Christmas/Halloween scenes with lighthearted fun quests
17. Meeting Harrys great grandfather or something
18. 1 Evil teacher with a hidden motive to stop instead of a Goblin antagonist
19. Better dueling club with optional spell classes to be earned
20. Dementors and Expecto Patronum (Dont know how but they could have figured it out)
21. Choosing between christmas at hogwarts or at home/diagon alley?
22. Diagon Alley shopping spree beginning of the year.
23. A tight friend trio (like Harry, Ron, Hermione)
24. Side quests where you have to hide from another Filch type character(squib janitor)
25. Actual consequences to your actions
26. Meeting Voldemorts grandfather at hogwarts(already kind of evil / Maybe a Draco malfoy type)
27. Being able to read the daily prophet a few times
28. Ministry of Magic mission at the beginning of the year to discuss the fact you dont start in The 1st year
29. NO UNFORGIVABLE CURSES (i hated this)
30. Befriend the game keeper (for some fun Care of Magical creatures side quests)
I imagine your seasons mod is conflicting with the photo mode to force the game to be winter no matter what setting is selected.
my first thought as well.
He said he's got a clean install so there's no mods to conflict with the game.
@@manydragons2582personally even then there could be problems, for example I modded my Skyrim and to this day even after deleting and reinstalling and playing vanilla I still have broken Gargoyle spawns that aren’t natural
Transmog is in the game already, isn't it? Like I remember making my outfit look the same even after I change what the actual items are
Yes, it is
It absolutely IS in the game. I always make my character look like the base character as I want him to actually look like like a Hogwarts student, not a freaking paladin or some Wish Merlin lol
On PC (and surely Xbox) that's done pressing X on your controller in the equipment screen (I don't play with keyboard so don't know the binding, but it's written in the equipment screen anyway)
F on keyboard
It is. Stephen just wants to talk as much shit as he can
It's funny that we all cry and complain when games are released unfinished claiming to be live service yet we praise their updates/patches. But this game releases in a finished state that needed some polish but now the complaints are that we aren't getting enough after release.
Exactly, should just release the game finished and not do updates, or if there are updates be quality of life updates or new fresh quests.
This! It's exactly why Live service is even a thing and won't go away. People feel entitled even if a game is delivered in full.
@@FurBurger151 The game wasn't delivered in full, hence why we got the Haunted Hogsmeade quest added to PC. They had over a year to release DLC for the game and make a shit ton more money but they decided to add a camera mode..... That was it.
@@IAmKnightsDawn They said there was no planned dlc for the game apon release and the mission you're talking about I played a year ago on PS5 so the game was complete. I'm not saying the game couldn't do with some Dlc but I bought the game knowing there wouldn't be so to but upset that there's not is a issue with the community and not the game.
Black & White 2001 from Lionhead had that feature! If you can get past old game jank, it's a great game according to the memory of my 6 year old self
Wow, a few cosmetics, a quest that was already in the game and a photo mode...
Fucking worthless.
Still has more worth than your comment. It's a game, if you don't like it, don't play it

Ive never been more disappointed, I've left this game months ago and this is all they've done in all this time???
Yet you have time to write nonsense in youtube comments 😂@@Trinket_Master
I enjoyed my playthrough a decent amount when I played it when it came out, but god damn there is absolutely no replayability to this game IMO.
I didn't even get to finish the full game yet since launch... I remember playing like half of the story then I got bored stopped playing and totally forgot it existed. I don't hate the game don't get me wrong it just lost my interest very quickly. The missions just seemed the same.
All 4 houses have some different quests, so there is replayability here (plus you can choose to play as a douch in your second playthrough), but I agree a lot of the game will play exactly the same
@@mikeonlinux5491 Yeah I mean the school specific quests are literally 1 or 2 quests no?
A whole video for a photo mode? a bit excessive

He’s got kids to feed man
seriously because i had to look at the steam notes before watching the videos and its like 2 QoL additions and a photomode
I thinking pointing this out is excessive lol... Like sure, maybe a such a small update doesn't warrant a video but his content is pretty chill, and I can never say no to Luke's videos, they're just light on the heart and brain and generally a fun pass time. No complaints!
@abeaconintheoffice uhhh... he can and he in-fact is.
Did they really need a full year and four months to give out this tiny update? I’m on Playstation so the only new thing is photo mode and talent points
@abeaconintheoffice If so, I’m all for it! But this particular update was not enough to bring me back. But I have gotten the platinum trophy on both the PS4 and PS5 version, so I don’t really have anything to play for, being a trophy hunter and all
Can't believe they are still going forward with the live service version of this game. 😢
The announcements were clear on what the update wold entail and that I'd be small
this is like some throwouts
Exactly.

.... isn't... transmog already IN the game? i'm on PC, pretty damn sure you can just, have any outfit you want set, with whatever better item stats under the visuals.
Yes it is. I meant to say the ability to alter character looks/appearance/etc., but instead said transmog. Just misspoke :P
Always hate how they failed to update this game what so ever
i just wish there was more to do after you finish the story. and i can't believe they haven't added quidditch yet. competitive quidditch tournaments would probably bring back so many players
A quidditch DLC would bring almost everyone back to this game
Personally no. Idc about quidditch because it's basically just any other sport idc/like sports anyways so a quidditch dlc would have been so disappointing for me
@@Bottom_1999 Fair enough. For me, a Harry Potter game without quidditch just feels like something is missing
I completely/100% agree with you regarding the "certain gaming consols gets more stuff for their buck" issue.

They oddly sent me a French version of some other game. Amazon is ran by idiots for the most part. Imagine playing on Switch and using Photomode XD
Pride month special
Bought Hogwart's Legacy on the Switch - Highway robbery, I paid full price for a game that barely runs with iPhone graphics and ghastly cut downs. So much wrong with the copy, there's no Hogwarts feel to the school or grounds, loading screens everywhere, poor fps and unplayable quests. A real pain and waste of money, which is testament to how we really need the Switch 2, instead of Nintendo greedily prolonging that ancient piece of hardware
I would only be hyped if they fix performance. The memory leaks are awful.....

Would like the seasons IRL toggled on/off
Hey Luke! I saw hogwarts 2 got confirmed and was wondering if you would be able to do a video on what you would want to see, some of the things that need to be changed and parts left out that you'd definitely want. Personally the ministry of magic and diagon alley im crossing my fingers for 🫶
Man, Hogwarts Legacy was really such a moment in gaming for me. Despite it's issues there really is nothing like it, overall. This update doesn't seem like much but i'm hearing we're getting a Directors Cut? excited for that. Hope they really expand on things in a sequel.
This update causes my game to crash every few minutes. It was stable before the update. Anyone know any fixes on PC? I already updated drivers.
Happens on my PS5 too everytime I use spells
The rendering issue is not only on your part mate. Ever since the update the same thing happens to me currently even. Not only that, but I wanted to change the graphics into a higher quality with the option the game gives you. Mind you I play on PS5 and with a great TV that can support this and yet the game crashes every time I have this option on. But when I turned it off it has the rendering issues
8:00 I have absolutely no issues with the game running on my Xbox… bugs like that must be isolated to PCs, or due to some custom ‘mod’, because the weather also works fine for me!
I just know I can’t wait until the next game
@@alexwalters35WB haven't learned shit, if there is gonna be a sequel to hogwarts legacy you can bet your ass it will be a live service.
@@ryanwhite9103 You'd think the terrible writing and disastrous attempt at a live service co op game failing so bad would wake them up. WB just doubled down and because of them and Rocksteady, Rocksteady doesn't exist anymore.
I did enjoy the game honestly, the only thing I wish was there was a New Game plus to use later game spells in the from the beginning.

I wish they would fix the frame time issues it has.
On what? Pc or consoles because I haven't played this game since launch?
@@phazebeast7373 surprisingly both
The disappointing thing about the hogsmeade quest is that it was bugged for a lot of people (including myself)
What a shame they did not gave us new DLC story.
It crashes suddenly to home screen on my xbox series x after this update for some reason...
The Photo Mode should've been in the game at launch.
They still haven't fixed the bugged moth mirrors that don't spawn their moths. Was hoping this update would fix it
I wished they balanced the crafting aspect of the game to make it more important
I'm even surprised the game's developers remember it exists.
It was a fun game worth it if you didn't buy it full price but I wouldn't replay it even with the update.
Or maybe I might play it again after a playthrough of Mass effect. I always end up very emotional after I play the trilogy and having a light and easy to play game ready to go helps me get out of it.
So far I'd say the shop quest is darker (more horror like) than any other quests in the game.
I know they said no Quidditch ever, but realistically that's the only thing that's really going to get people to go back to the game at this point. Definitely not reinstalling a game I 100%'d last year for a photo mode and one quest.
You're a Wizard Luke
All this update brought for me is crashes every few minutes...
You know what would also be nice? If they include the whole game on disc for consoles without connecting to the Internet to download majority of the data for it to work but that's asking too much from western AAA game publishers like WB, EA and Ubisoft nowadays.
Following the patch, the issue with foliage loading in late after exiting the menu is also present in the PS5 version.
It might not be working for you because you loaded from an old save.
Even if they did it as End Game only that would be cool. Like after the conclusion of the main story add the ability to switch seasons for Ambience, like they have the Ambience change for the Room of Requirement.
I've only seen two videos on this update, and the changing seasons feature didn't work in either of them.
I was personally more hopeful for DLC with added quests, but it is what it is.
god i forgot how pretty that game really is, it hit the 'Harry Potter Feeling' so well
Transmog? Did u even play the game? That’s been there since day 1
My main gripe with Howard’s legacy can’t be fixed with a dlc, that being, it’s a story game, not a true RPG.
They need dynamic seasons, not just when you progress, make it change with a calendar !
I was literally playing today, after a long time away. No mods. Just regular game. Noticed the exact same grass pop-in.
My game it's beeing crashing all the time after the update...
Would kinda ruin the fact you play each act during a season if you can toggle between seasons at will.
I bought this when it was released, and hilariously I’ve only played it for 20mminutes
Same here but just a few hours and never completed it lol
It's not worth ten mins lol
I was shaking after I finished the update. I’m terrified of mannequins and then suddenly showing up around me after I used lumos in a dark room freaked me out completely
I want an expansion like the good old days you know
Got the deluxe edition on sale for 33 dollars excellent purchase so far and I don’t even have the talent tree brooms or half the spells yet. I’m playing speed for graphical fidelity and I’ve only had a few glitches mostly innocuous clock physics issues and come clipping or pop in rarely
The nit-pick of the grass not loading is a bit much. Considering how beautiful the game is, atleast it loads back and pretty quickly
As someone who has done everything to 100%, this update does NOT give me a good enough reason to re download the game! I was hoping and expecting for something...more!
Luke having to pre emptively shoot the mistress jokes 😂
