That’s the only thing I dislike is when the dealers add that mark up because of it’s limited amount of units available to sell. That extra $10k mark up can buy you something better. Overall Im in love with that Rav Prime. Amazing job Toyota and thanks again for that outstanding review Sofyan. Always can count on your reviews!
To be equipped like Sofyan’s it’s around $48k USD. $10k markup would bring the car over $60k out the door. Yeah you get some back from rebates and tax credits but over 50k for a RAV4? You gotta be out of your mind.
Great, but to be fair, the mpg for these plug-in vehicles is completely dependent on the driver's driving range, even a plug-in with 18 miles EV range and 20 mpg non-EV rating can get 1000 mpg if it is only used for short trips. But, in the end these plug-in vehicles are far superior to pure EV because one can continue driving when the pure EV is depleted and in the worse condition, can get filled up in less than 5 minutes. Can you imagine being more than 100 miles from home in a secluded area at night with 1/2 tank left in Tesla or other pure EVs.... that would be a real life horror flick.
for those of you wondering, the speed he reached in the video was 100 mph as thats the end of fourth gear in the supra. watch the gear indicator light. youre welcome

Hey Sofyan, be careful not to leave the same gas in your Rav4 Prime for too long. It will go stale within 2 or 3 months and begin to gel which can gum up your fuel injection system leading to an expensive repair. I know you're still on your original tank, but a good technique for people who don't drive much is to only fill half the tank (or less) at a time. It's also good to use the gas engine at least weekly to avoid problems due to infrequent use. That said, I'm a big fan of the Prime and plan to get one for myself later this year, hopefully before the full tax credit expires. I hope you will do some in-depth review content on yours. Great video!
