- Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis from Lucas Arts in 1992. It was a classic point 'n' click graphic adventure game - I could not stop playing this on the Amiga from the moment it was released. This is the longplay of the Wits path from the PC version - so called because it's just you and your wits to solve the puzzles that come along.

this is a great game i use to own it on amiga 500 good grapich back then i think it use 9 or 10 floppy disk
It truly is a work of art, everything from graphical presentation to storyline and soundtrack. I am bummed the Indiana Jones IV movie was not based on this story.

+vulpes Horstus I wish they went with the direction of this game for Crystal Skull. Let us see hints of alien life with strange boned skeletons, but we never saw them. Breaks my heart we will never see a movie with Harrison in based on this game. Would have been amazing.

in monkey island you can not die you can not lose the game and you do not have multiple paths

Thr best point and click game . It is chalkenging, it is atmospheric, the soundtrack is superb, the scenes are fantastic, the gameplay is long enough, there are 4 ways to finish it.... Good old Lucasarts.

I finished all of the LucasArts during the months of lockdown and unemployment in 2020, and that includes Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders and Maniac Mansion.
Oh the memories... one of my first RPGs and favorites.

Well there is a novel of Crystal Skull by James Rollins and I think it's better then the movie.
Thank you so much for posting this guide! After twenty something years I have finally completed the game (long story, but I got stuck several times in the past). A very enjoyable game, despite the difficult submarine level.

This is beautiful. One of my all-time favorite games, and now I can enjoy just having it run in the background, complete with the awesome voiceacting. Bless you.
The most common way people play this game is they fight Biff, and then you have an option after Sophia tells you the best path, and then people still want to choose the team path. If this were a movie, they probably wouldn't show stuff in the wits path, knowing with these games, the wits path is the most common thing for graphic adventure games. In the movie Sophia would be with Indy the whole time, and Indy would constantly fight Nazis, so both the fists path and the team path together would be how a movie would be done.
I think a combination of all three paths (With some tweaking) would work best for a movie.

such an amazing game!!! y was never able to open Atlantis gates.... y had the 3 stones and tried EVERY position on them ... but never opened ....i was 11 years old and i hardly knew english but i learnt a lot thanks to this game and very others... thanks for uploading this :)
Me too!! I was 13. I think after returning 2 years later I somehow got the combination right. I was so stuck!
@@davidmiska it was the combination used so far, but rotated 180 degrees, as per the last clue on the page. Did you eventually open it ?
Reminds me of the last puzzle in Money Island: LeChuck's revenge, with the ribcage, pelvis and leg bones combination. A bit frustrating....
Mmmm, them's some good nostalgia fuel. While I don't find the intro or the parrot as hilarious as my younger self did, it still feels great to just listen to everything.
The graphics and art work still looks amazing.. This is my all time favorite game

2:48:25 - This game pissed me off when you looked at the wall for the "celestial spheres well aligned" diagram - the moon looks like a new moon when in actuality you're supposed to use the full moon. Caused me hours of headache.
A remake or remaster of this game would be amazing.

If you're stuck at 2:03:14 because it won't open, keep on trying various orientations, having the two outer rings aligned with each others, and the inner ring somewhere else. In my case, it was: the two outer rings together and to the right, and the innermost to the left. I think it's random, unless there is a clue in the book that I didn't get.
I love this game and the voices version is so much epic, just wished i had this version. I love how the characters are expressive.

@@danielito750 the u sounds in rue in French doesn't really exist in English.
It's IPA /y/, and according to wiktionary, they say the closest one is the u in Judas.
The way it's pronounced here is closer to the word "roue", but this is another word (wheel, not street). Can't blame them, it's not a vowel that you're used to.

This was always one of my favorite adventure games. The wits path was the first path I completed, followed by the team, and lastly the fists. Ironically, I think the fists path is my favorite. Which path did you other gamers complete first? Favorite path?
Team part first with my dad, but back in 1992 he did the Wits part Alone without solution
I Just finished Wits (I had to find solution 2 Times...) and I will do fists soon
I love aspects of all of them, though fists is probably my least favorite. The Team path is probably my favorite, though I don't care too much for the part in France.
Team path is also my favorite, feels a lot more like a real Indy movie !
I played TEAM as a child. Back then I didn't even know there were 3 paths LOL!!!!! I got stuck at Crete for ages. Now that I am adult I completed the 3 paths, in this order: TEAM, FISTS and WITS. And my favorite list is just the same: TEAM is my favorite, then FISTS and WITS is my least favorite. I have 897 points I guess I need to do some random stuff or kill guards around to get to 1,000 points.
amazing game, just loved it. Replayed it a few years ago, still amazing as ever. It really got that Indiana feeling, and its a great indiana story too, way better than Crystal skull thats for sure.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis ... is the first non linear graphical adventure , that changed its game design (3 ways possible) depending on your first conversation with your female character ... Get more puzzles (game is Longer and harder and has more locations) or , Get more Action sequences (has less locations but more Action) , or Get more Fighting ... and what of its 4 endings you will get ...
7:13 Listen to Indy and his "oomf". It sounds exactly like audio from Wolf 3D.
Classic! IMO, Last Crusade's real sequel and not that Crystal Skull shite.
This was their last game that was completely mouse drawn on the computer, pixel by pixel.
Other games including Monkey Island 2 were scanned/digitized then corrected.

Something I never understood about Sophia. She is obsessed with going to Atlantis (Probably because of Nur-AB-Sal), but is more than happy to stay behind.

Why does it switch to the team path somewhere in the middle of the Atlantis sequence? You can see that you suddenly have different items at about 2:11:00
probably either an editing mistake, or just a the fact that the three paths converge once you enter Atlantis. I'm finishing it right now, but I believe once you enter Atlantis (the outer ring) the gameplay is the same anyway.
In the end Sophia doesn't ask "Can you pilot a sub?"; this is the proof that Atlantis part, which is same for three paths, is "recycled" from Team Path
Spanish version was translated to Hispanic, so it's funny forLAtin americans hear the differences.
2:49:25 I hate this minigame, and I get a bug when Sophia crosses it sometimes there is a bug, she walks over fire then she gets back and does nothing at all. You can't do shit and if you save game it crashes. I have lost all my progress this time since I forgot to save. Anyway I see the final is exactly as the other 2 paths. I am disappointed at Wits paths, everyone says its their favorite but apart from the COMB stuff and the part where you walk around Montecarlo there is nothing interesting. Team Path forever!!!! And Fist path as a second favorite!!!!

People get confused always aligning with the horns, but they represent noon. So the discs should be aligned accordingly.
The Wits Path is by far the easiest path to beat the game. The Fists I say its the hardest.

He became a god for a while before dying (disappears). That because the machine is not working as expected and transformation process is very unstable.
Does anybody else think they should have made a SCUMM engine-fueled point and click adventure game of _Star Wars_, like _Fate of Atlantis_? We could have had a back up Star Wars Episode 1, 2, and 3, if the prequels ended up sucking! Just like Fate of Atlantis was a back up even if the fourth Indiana Jones film sucked!

2:06:00 WTF that "vehicle" drives you from Crete underground to Atlantis... seriously this is completely nonsense compared to what you need to do on the other 2 paths. I am disappointed.
It could make sense: Thera and Crete are two Atlantis colonies and a "metro" service has provided since Atlantis is in the middle of them.
In Thera you should find a "metro" station too but is closed for works (that's why you need to go to Crete)
this game and all of lucas art games have really bad user interfaces, slow walk, no talk interruptions, long pause between any talks. NO sound effects whatsoever. cant play this game after playing the westwood kyrandia series. but the story was good.
The talk pause in this video is indeed a bit boring but it can be configured to exactly match the actors' speeches.

Mh, I didnt like that game so much. "The last crusade" had at least a real movie behind it, you more or less played the movie. This Atlantis-story is kinda ugly from the beginning. I don't like the Atlantis-style, this green-golden, tons of statues, this very dead place Atlantis, these shitty machines etc. I think, the U-boat is really great. I wonder, if I rebuild this with LEGO one day.
Pisses me off that in the other playthroughs he beat's the germans to a pump but he only bribe's the arabs when they catch him in the desert in this version. Racist and pathetic! Love the game but little things like this bug me no end!
