You can repair the device, just go on craigslist. The bigger challenge is technology develops so quickly that you need keep updating software and storage at least once a month. Even if your old phone in perfectly good shape, you wouldn't be able to do anything on it other than making phone calls because software is outdated. If you are happy with limited capabilities you may as well get old flip phone problems solved. Smart phones became so advanced that you don't need TV or Computer anymore, you can do it all from one device.

This is infuriating!!!!! Why should my 40 year old family business be forced to pay tariffs when Apple doesn’t ???? I also have competitors that manufacture outside China (not USA). This is CRAZY!!! Was a trump supporter but not any more!!!!!

If apple gets a waiver that sets the precedence that everyone manufacturing in china should get a waiver. Favoritism at its best.🙌
What you seem to not understand is that Trump promised from the beginning to work for the United States not for the world and that means that if Apple gets a tariff and Samsung doesn’t Apple is at a disadvantage they’re going to still manufacture in China but what it’s going to mean is that for them it’s gonna be more expensive even if they bring their manufacturing here and for Samsung it’s gonna be cheaper so that’s what it comes down to
Because Trump’s goal is to make the United States a better place not the world and if Samsung devices are more cheaper than Apple devices Samsung can use that to their advantage and at the end of the day it might make people buy more Samsung devices than Apple devices and another important thing is that Apple is an American success story and in order for Donald Trump to prove how good America isHe needs to keep American success stories alive and in America

If they don't want tariffs that badly then they should just move their manufacturing operations to South Korea.
It’s not only that Tim Cook wants to be nice with the president and intern make the president take his opinion seriously and actually consider it not throw it in the garbage that’s what most CEOs failed to see that’s why I think Tim Cook is a good person for being able to do this and a goddamn good CEO And this goes to show that sometimes being friends is better than being enemies
