I'd love to see Tommy use the Amico Apps across 2-5 phones and then point to it and say "Simple!" and then dare to point to the other consoles, hybrid, portable, and mobile games and say, "Complicated!!!" What blows me away is that, as it stands, the Amico Home app appears not to be available for Android TV devices! Now that, I would say, would've made it an interesting proposition where if you just want the Amico experience you can install the UX and games on your TV in and of itself and the controller app onto your phone, while later releasing the bespoke hardware for those who want a more bona fide experience and possibly some pack-in games.
14:30 that idea reminds me of that old Capcom Collection Vol. 2 disc for PS2/OG XBOX. There's an arcade game on there called Quiz and Dragons(I think), it's a random trivia game. I'd just like to point out Save a Fox (yt channel) has a mascot fox named Finnegan who has gone viral. I realize it's a catchy, alliterative name and no one can copyright a name but man I have to wonder if they were trying to do something there with everything else Amico has pulled.
In the end we have consoles and Steam and Epic and GOG etc. If they wanted to make a new game they have tons of places to release it and sell it so I don't see why anyone will only make a game if this joke of a console came out.
That one amico racing game looks pretty cool with multiplayer online. It almost reminds me of that old racing game on NES, RC Pro Am, but just with multiplayer and online play.
15:32 There is also a really good darts game for the Wii in "Deca Sports 2" Not only does it have a good version of darts but it also has many other events.
10:32 Or for us in the US, a NES controller or Game Gear because Master System never caught on here. Actually the fact that even a Game Gear or Nomad (which was a portable Genesis which also never caught on, some games don't even use the C button for anything unique anyway) could play a better game is hilariously insulting. In fact, there's _already_ a Micro Machines game for both Game Gear and Genesis. It's brutally hard but it has more to offer by a wide margin.
In fairness, Trials was literally one of the flashgames you're talking about. I remember playing it on New grounds. In fact, I was excited to see the first 3d iteration, Trials HD on the Xbox Live arcade. Played the living hell out of it and fellow upgraded flashgame N+
Hans Ippisch lives in Bavaria and this company is also in Bavaria. They have also apparently received funding from the Bavarian state government, which may only be paid out if the games are also published there. Something is completely wrong here. I wouldn't be surprised if this is some kind of money laundering. Intellivision is shifting money back and forth. The main thing is that they can say they have nothing left and then don't have to pay anything back.

Great work on this, brother, I think we got maybe a thousand times more enjoyment out of Amico the way it is now, NES Punk videos and all, than we ever were expecting to get
For the crap Tommy talked about Atari and the Atari VCS, not only is Atari still supporting the VCS (even did an OS update in late November), but more games are making its way to that console. Dynablaster is on the VCS and plays fine. Atari is starting to release early access of their games on the VCS and its starting to become a platform for small indie games to release as every other platform is all bloated now. There's an FPS game going to be released later this week also lol. I personally have two Atari VCS consoles, one I use as the Atari console and the other runs Windows 11 and I run emulations on it and it works fine, even Xbox 360 games work fine on it.
I agree this is the final chapter. The final chapter of your negativity towards a struggling startup with a vision. Once the controllers, and Cornhole, are out it'll be a game changer and Amico's real market will not care about the past. If you all bother Garrett (another dev), maybe he could get a version on Steam that we could share with only the coolest fans." "It was cool. I think we could probably share it. I would say, it was far from finished, but a fully playable game. And it will never be finished." No one really bothered Garrett much on the matter at the time so really who knows if anyone will see anything beyond that demo.
I had a game like breakout on an old BlackBerry. It was one single level, and I played it for hoooouuuurs.... I would pay actual money for multiple levels of a game like breakout.
Rally Rumble looks like it at least plays well. I can't tell if the aesthetic is deliberate or temporary, but it shouldn't matter if it plays well. Reminds me of RC Pro-AM.

They might actually have something worthwhile if they release the amico app on consoles and steam with at least a few of the games included, then the smartphone controller app would make at least a little more sense.
@tamazonx It would only really be worth it as a reasonably priced Jackbox style bundle, as long as the smartphone latency gets fixed and not as a hub with overpriced games. Chances are almost nil of that happening, though.
Someone ran the Amico Home app in one of the ARM-based handheld emulation consoles, like an Anbernic or something like it. Was actually kind of funny to see. But if you could do that having support for the buttons would be nice.
It's not an excuse, but can android tvs download the amico application? That way it's on a stationary device and the phones can be used exclusively as controllers .
To think, ALL Tommy Tallarico and Intellivision had to do was release a crappy, cheap little console that was going to do its thing and nothing more, and then be done with it. That's it. But they couldn't even work out the hardware based on a 2016 BUDGET Android phone. What a sad state of affairs.
It’s sad how Tommy ruined his legacy from the guy who made awesome game soundtracks and bringing the sounds of games live to a disgrace of the Amico which overshadows his legacy. I think you gave it the best send off you could, although so sad to see the story end this way. It's really awesome that you went out your way to direct people to the games and developers who were affected :) thanks as always for the awesome content, and hope you had a great time in Barcelona!
They really paid for Fox n Forests to look worse and more generic.
Apparently Tommy *hates* Pixel art and thinks it looks old fashioned. So he was determined to spend however much it took to replace the artwork.
Looks alright to me.
They also dumbed down the gameplay significantly. The progression system has been all but stripped out of it.
@@SomeOrangeCat I think I've only seen DJC's gameplay video. Are there other's?
You're right, it's been dumbed down. They've added platforms to make jumps easier, players don't have to pay for checkpoints and it looks like they eliminated potions entirely.
@@nolster1 Yeah, its a complete bastardization of a pretty good game.
It's unfortunate that Tommy probably won't reach out to you "to explain everything"
at this point. 😏
Thank you for your coverage of all of this. I was at the pub with my parents when I saw this dropped and was trying to explain the amico to them.
amico is just the gift that keeps on giving. every time you think it's dead, it rises from the ashes and gives you something even more hilariously awful to talk about
I'd love to see a video on the Coleco Cameleon now that the Intellivision Amico saga is over!
Starting to think that Slope is hoping we forget that he ever teased at malking a video on that.
I'd love to see Tommy use the Amico Apps across 2-5 phones and then point to it and say "Simple!" and then dare to point to the other consoles, hybrid, portable, and mobile games and say, "Complicated!!!" A setup that makes even the Gamecube version, back in the day, of 4 player Crystal Chronicles look so simple and cheap by comparison.
Oh dear god….. This scandal never disappoints….
I'm gonna take you on a ride! Mr Bones' Wild Ride!
By the way, it is absolutely amazing that lawsuits still haven’t actually been filed over this whole thing yet. Were the investors even more dumb than the people behind the amico project?
Honestly more than likely. So many investors on Republic were referred by Palm Beach Research which itself is a shady organization selling mostly useless "investment advice" for people with more disposable money than common sense. They're probably tossing money in another fly-by-night business right now.
Indeed, and most of them really had no much more money to full a lawsuit
It's almost like there's no need for lawsuits. 🤔
@@pferreira1983 not even for those that weren’t investors but preorders?
@@TheLastLineLive Well that's where it can go either way although I wonder if there's anything to sue Intellivision for at this point considering their lack of funds to pay damages.
After I legit SAT DOWN & watched very second of your very-well put-together 4-hour EPIC 10 months ago, I knew I HAD to see this immediately.
Your’re my go-to, on Amico news now. After the work you put in on that video..? It’s only fair, homie!
I'm glad you are giving the developers some exposure. Sorry to them, to you, and all of those who preordered. This should have been something, even a disappointing something rather than this travesty.
What blows me away is that, as it stands, the Amico Home app appears not to be available for Android TV devices! Now that, I would say, would've made it an interesting proposition where if you just want the Amico experience you can install the UX and games on your TV in and of itself and the controller app onto your phone, while later releasing the bespoke hardware for those who want a more bona fide experience and possibly some pack-in games.
I believe it’s on Amazon’s Fire TV store now, so you can play it on a TV via a Fire stick.
14:30 that idea reminds me of that old Capcom Collection Vol. 2 disc for PS2/OG XBOX. There's an arcade game on there called Quiz and Dragons(I think), it's a random trivia game. But Capcom made a version for that disc where all the questions are Capcom game trivia, I remember playing that for way too long when I finally played it.
Has Tommy appeared in literally any capacity in the past year?
He did a short interview with some local radio station about Video Games Live 2-3 months ago. He's still repeating some of his BS.
@@thegoosemeister Ah that would make sense. Retreat into VGL and ignore everything else.
Also to be fair he probably memorized one script/interview patter 15 years ago and is unable to learn anything else.
@@cthellis The weird thing is in that radio show, he really played into the family friendly angle, experience for all ages with VGL. He's still using the narrative that he wanted to make something for families.
Sad the local rádio didn't push his BS back
@@thegoosemeister According to you it's BS because we all know now you like to spout BS content. 😉
7:40 cant you download the console app onto your Android Tv, and then download the controller apps onto your phones and play that way?
Gonna say it out loud, Finnigan Fox looks SO MUCH WORSE than Fox n Forests. Seriously, it looks like a flash game.
Agreed! What were they thinking doing that? The original looks like a well made game with a lot of work put into it. While the other looks like a cheap flash game from 10+ years ago!
I'd just like to point out Save a Fox (yt channel) has a mascot fox named Finnegan who has gone viral. I realize it's a catchy, alliterative name and no one can copyright a name but man I have to wonder if they were trying to do something there with everything else Amico has pulled.
the most depressing part of this whole fiasco? Earthworm Jim is never coming back 😢
I was gonna buy the console exclusively for a new Jim game. Shit sucks, man
@@Wallace-Amadeus it really does, my kids & I really were looking forward to playing a New Earthworm Jim Adventure :(
In the end we have consoles and Steam and Epic and GOG etc.
If they wanted to make a new game they have tons of places to release it and sell it so I don't see why anyone will only make a game if this joke of a console came out.
In this case, something is NOT better than nothing!
That one amico racing game looks pretty cool with multiplayer online. It almost reminds me of that old racing game on NES, RC Pro Am, but just with multiplayer and online play.
31:30 Unless you dont personally like to do it, I do love these sort of update videos on the larger kickstarter scams
Pat and Ian were right about the amico and Hbomberguy pretty much ended Tommy's career
Hey, Slope.
Has anyone on the Amico side been blaming Paul Andrews for the Amico still not coming out?
A satisfying conclusion.
And I _still_ wish Tommy Tallarico a very "get blacklisted from the entire entertainment industry". Unless he already has.
10-10-2025 I'm ready, I swear it's coming out , with q bert reimagined on Amico launch day

@@mikethetowns No it will be 2026 because it will release late 2025 with the big blockbuster games out in 2026.
To quote our friend Hbomberguy: How?? How's there still more??!!
15:32 There is also a really good darts game for the Wii in "Deca Sports 2" Not only does it have a good version of darts but it also has many other events.
At this point I truly believe tommy was trying to make the amico it's own reality show. And the console was an after thought.
FINALLY have time to sit down and watch this uninterrupted. Been so hyped for it - and WOW - GREAT video as always, Daniel!
Wouldn't that be something 😹 that part killed me!
Heya cutie, I enjoyed your coverage on this lately :D | glad you enjoyed the video
@@slopesgameroom aww thanks! ⛄
Thanks for another great video! Merry Christmas to you and yours, Slope!
Fun Fact:
Tommy @ Co spent more time "developing" this vaporware project than ford has doing a complete clean sheet redesign (the first in 15 years) of the 2026 next gen mustang.
I can't wait for The Bankruptcy Arc, then finally The Lawsuit Arc.
We talking about Tommy Tallarico or Philip Burnell? Ack ack ack
That rally car game reminds me of those standing arcade rally car games that you are basically frantically spinning the wheel peeling around corners. That game is intense and stupid fun to play with a friend. A friend of mine were in a bar/nickel arcade years ago and spent around a half hour or more just railing on those steering wheels
what about earth worm jim 4 and how that turned out to have never even been in a production
I knew I recognized Joey's voice from the CU Podcast. That guy is iconic. lol
Tommy's mom is so proud
Funny how people were defending this, and calling the Atari console a scam. Look how the tables turned… hahaha
I've watched so much content about a story I have no investment in or nostalgia for, personally. And here I go again!
After re watching the Hbomberguy video about the Off. NY Tommy talarico knowledge is ready to be expanded
Dah! The man who is behind Ecco the Dolphin is a man to be feared! What thoughts go through the mind of a man who makes a happy dolphin game for kids and then kicks them in the teeth with terrifying aliens, brutal difficulty and Pink Floyd!
I almost feel bad that I called it. When a developer states that they're working on a new installment of any game that an interviewer even mentions, it's a scam.
Great work on this, brother, I think we got maybe a thousand times more enjoyment out of Amico the way it is now, NES Punk videos and all, than we ever were expecting to get
The Amico sounds like the next generation of plug n' play games.. but somehow worse
Part of me’s relieved you haven’t mentioned Cloudy Mountain as that’s the game that would have sucked me in to this nightmare…
8:35 That's practically the same price, just one is in USD
I agree this is the final chapter. The final chapter of your negativity towards a struggling startup with a vision.
Once the controllers, and Cornhole, are out it'll be a game changer and Amico's real market will not care about the past. In fact, they don't care about your links either as they don't research games. Casuals would prefer it ready for them.
I know. You tried. You wanted to be the first to release "The Documentary". Your addendums proved you were struggling with this. But, YOUR story is now over. Thanks for the vids BTW. 😁 Be well.
Just wanted to say that it takes some serious balls to admit you got hoodwinked. Serious respect for that. More relevant to your video on the Amico scandal, but I wanted to give your videos some engagement :P

You really rankled Pedro with this one. He's up in *everyone's* replies. Lol. After getting BTFO'd, he'll go running back to the "Thoughty Auti podcast" to cry about how he's the victim of all the fights he starts online.

I'm pretty active in the Choice Provisions Discord, and the co-owner Mike Roush have said this on the topic of Breakout:
"Yeah. That's a thing. I know one thing. I don't think that game will ever see the light of day. It was a weeeeeeird project. And when I say weird. Well, you know. If you all bother Garrett (another dev), maybe he could get a version on Steam that we could share with only the coolest fans." "It was cool. I think we could probably share it. I would say, it was far from finished, but a fully playable game. And it will never be finished."
No one really bothered Garrett much on the matter at the time so really who knows if anyone will see anything beyond that demo.
8:35 one of them is in USD
The only game I was excited for was cloudy mountain. I'm wondering what the status of that title is.

Wishlisted several games from this video on PC. Sad to see that some of them still have very little exposure considering they look rather good, so the video is much appreciated.
10:47 trying not to wake up the house laughing. "this?... No." 😅
Super space towers is just a revamped sub-terranea for the sega genesis, from the controls to the little people you pick up with your ship.
They might actually have something worthwhile if they release the amico app on consoles and steam with at least a few of the games included, then the smartphone controller app would make at least a little more sense.
Switch has several (if not all) of these games -- no smartphone needed.
Judging by your results, Intellivision was correct: Amico games can't run on mobile phones...at least not through Amico Home 🤣
It's not an excuse, but can android tvs download the amico application? That way it's on a stationary device and the phones can be used exclusively as controllers .
Use of the Oof to mask swear words 😂 - that’s a real subtle dig Slopes! Well played!
27:00 Oooh, can you play as an orca in this one? I mean orcas are a species of dolphins (which are a taxonomical family of toothed whales) after all
To think, ALL Tommy Tallarico and Intellivision had to do was release a crappy, cheap little console that was going to do its thing and nothing more, and then be done with it.
The Amico team should have focused on bringing that controller out, maybe selling as a pair and making them compatible with multiple devices. Have that Amico home app be the platform rather than making a console.
