The new models will have the best fuel consumption, newest technology, newest safety features and as usual great resell values. Plus the new interiors and comfort seem to be a notch above all the prior years ergonomically. With that being said the last 10 years are all great as well and worth taking care of and keeping.

If toyota revamps that whole 4x4 line to be turbo'd and hybrid then getting 300k miles wont be the new normal or expectation, but 200k or less. Toyota is going to be doing alot of mind shifting with their existing customers here shortly.

I own a 2023 4Runner Classic Silver Metallic with KDSS. Never going to sell that. When I was a teenager I always wanted a 1996 Ford Bronco. I believe the 5th get 4Runner will be sought after just like that generation Ford Bronco was.
You're right about resale. I've followed the price of my 2020 4runner resale. I can sell it today and get all of my money back.... and I mean allll of my money back. I've been driving for free for 4 years.
My 2020 4 runner SR5 is 4 years old and has 50k miles on her and I can still get what almost what I paid for it. I got an offer last week from Toyota dealer for $30K. Hey Junior, you'll not be disappointed. Bought mine in April. Already have been to Alaska, have already pulled out 4 cars that made bad decisions on the highway.
7:00 all they had to do was get rid of that clock, move the AC vents up higher, then extend the 8 inch screen horizontally on each side so the screen could be 11-12 inches. Then move the knobs elsewhere. You dont need the track and seek buttons. Remove all that. The knobs for volume and changing the radio could be farther left. If they wanted to keep the infotainment buttons, adding them above and below the sceen while removing the Siruius XM branded plate would work as well. Alot they could have done instead of just plopping in a huge tablet!
I have recently purchased a 2024 Toyota 4Runner and have absolutely no regrets. I’d look at reliability and simplicity as big factors when I’m purchasing a vehicle. I keep my vehicles for 10+ years and want something that’s going to serve me that long. Do not need anything fancy with tech when I get into my Trd off road and still have the four-wheel-drive as a shifter. I know that’s the seat for me.
Well said 😊 ! That's the reason I purchased the 5th generation 4Runner because the new 6th generation will loose it's simplicity and reliability factor and the price will definitely be more expensive than the 5th generation .😊
I had a 2020 nightshade…traded it in for a 2023 TRD PRO solar octane. One of the reasons was…I wanted the motor in the 2023. I was also obsessed with the color
Your videos are all so straight forward, going against the grain of others a lot, which i love! Your genuineness shines thru! Keep it up! Appreciate you, Lucy
My 2021 TRD off road lease is up in 2months. Garage kept since day 1. 13000 miles. Buyout is 29000. I think it’s a no braoner to buy it out. Still love it as much as the day I got it.
Do not let the dealer add any random fees that are NOT ON THE LEASE AGREEMENT. It’s becoming an increasing practice and read that agreement again before then! Good luck!

I have a 2023 4R Pro. I would like better gearing and power in the mountains. Better gas mileage would be nice too. Though I know reliability will suffer. I’m also interested in the MTS and crawl changes. Perhaps in a couple years we will need to add a new LandCruiser or 4R to the family

I couldn’t agree more! I knew this months ago that the little twin turbo lawnmower engine that is in the 2024 Tacoma was becoming the way of the 4Runner. The prices have been crazy on vehicles for a while now also. Last week I knew I couldn’t wait anymore. Three TRD Pros on the lot near me, they had no TRD Pros for three months and they JUST came in on the Thursday before. One white and two black ones. I wanted white, I live in South Carolina. Dude backed out of the deal on the only white TRD Pro on the lot the Friday after they came in. Toyota dealership called me first thing Monday morning. They said you want it? Then you’d better be here within the hour. Yep, I was there! No rebates, no specials on it, dealer markup they wouldn’t budge on also. Did I get a good deal? Nope, not really…but did I get a legendary top of the line 4 Runner, and probably the last chance to get a 2024 TRD Pro before September hits and the 2025s come out. Sometimes you have to weigh up the negatives compared to the positives you’re getting. Did I pay too much? Damn straight I did. Do I feel ripped off and any regret? Absolutely not! Y’all better get one while you have the chance. Time is ticking…
I loved my 2019 4runner TRD Pro so much that I traded it in for a 2022 version because I wanted LED Headlights, 360 Camera and bigger infotainment. Love this vehicle and will be staying with me for a long time. Most dependable vehicle I have ever owned. Great channel!!!

Excellent video! Thank you for this review. It confirms everything I was already thinking. I just purchased a 2024 SR5 Premium. I am not an off-roader. I just wanted a Toyota quality, 4 Wheel Drive SUV. This vehicle is perfect for my needs. Everything you said in your review is spot on. I had watched many videos on the wisdom of buying the 2024 model rather than waiting for the 2025 version to come out. This very simple 4Runner will hold its value and will surely give me many years of reliable service. Even after seeing all of the reviews on the new sixth Gen, I realize I made the right choice. Keep the reviews coming!
Great video, @untamedmotors. This is my second 5th gen 4Runner, and after hearing your points, I’m definitely not selling anytime soon! I appreciate your straightforwardness, it’s refreshing to hear someone speak the truth even when others won’t admit it, though deep down, we all agree.
I have KDSS in my 2020 and I love it. No need to worry about electric glitches possibly going wrong. It’s basically all mechanical and works very well. Plus nose dive is virtually non existent.
That 2.4L Turbo will never touch the 4.0L V6 in reliability. Also, it is mind boggling how much even the 4Runner went up in price. In 2021 I bought that exact same 4Runner (TRD Off Road) for $41,000. A $9,000 increase in three years is outrageous. Thanks Joe Biden!
Toyota really screwed up not sticking with a V6. They will either wake up and offer a V6 really fast or watch sales slump. We own the 17 Sienna with a V6 and 300hp and the new Sienna has 245 hp hybrid. No thanks, we wanted to get another van but we said we would just add another late teens model van instead.
I'm not convinced made in Mexico means worse quality than made in the US. I'm old enough to remember when nobody wanted a car made in the US back because the quality was so bad. The newest version of the Tundra is made in the US and they seem to be having some quality problems with those trucks. I think only time will tell but in my opinion its the company and a culture of quality that will always make a made in Mexico Toyota of higher quality than say a made in the US Chrysler.
Brother you speak the truth, there's no lying in you, and your very knowledgeable on cars. I purchased used the 2018 4runner in 2018 for 28K, during the pandemic Toyota offered me 32K. Today it's definitely worth over 28K. I never sold my 2018 4runner and considering purchasing and adding the 2025 once Toyota works out the kinks from switching over to a new design. Keep putting out informative and classy content.
I'm on the fence as to what Toyota is doing to its best vehicles. A 4 cylinder turbo is cool n everything but not in an off road truck. I have owned several tacomas with the 4L, one third gen taco with the 3.5L. However I think that this switch to a 4 cylinder turbo with an outrageous price tag for a base model is a mistake. I'm keeping my 2021 off road 4runner until Toyota comes back to its senses. Oh and make a crew cab tundra with a 4x4 with a locker and a V8 for under 60K dollars and you can get me back Toyota.
I want to have a 4 Runner again. Even though it was repossessed because I made too quick of a decision but I want it in my life and future family to live with 4 ever. Greatest vehicle I’ve ever had
2.5 gen Tacoma driver here (2014) the 4L is king. Like you said, thirsty, but I can work on it in my driveway. My truck has 165k on it and it has been nothing short of awesome the whole time I’ve owned it from new. That’s why I bought my wife a 2020 4Runner as well.
I own a 2014 Limited 4 runner and its been absolutely bullet proof.. I swear by Toyotas after my 2000 camry ended with 367k miles and was still running. Theyre reliable, cheap to fix, hold their value like crazy, and are very practical.
Can you do a video (or more) on the Grand Highlander? I’m looking to get one, but I just cannot justify paying 60k @5%+APR and Tax. 70k not including maintenance, tires, repairs. Like it but it’s super new and therefore not coming down in price due to steady demand.
The last REAL Toyota. I love Toyota and have owned them since my first new one in 92. But I will never have the peace of mind in a turbo anything. My 24 TRD Pro, 21 SR-5 Premium and my two 5th Gen Celicas (90 & 93) are my dinosaur fleet. And they will all be running reliably for years to come.
@@brandonmontz both my 4Runners have them. They have been in all my new cars since 92. My 57 Chrysler doesn’t (not available) nor does my one Celica so I bought the second one cause it DID. 😂 My new Stingray doesn’t, but I ordered the clear roof which is removable. I love all 12 of my cars, but for driving, I don’t trust turbos. 😉
Just looking at that engine bay is a huge fat hells no. One looks like a car engine, the other looks like a birds nest I ripped off a tree and stomped it. I can't imagine the ass pain to get in there and change a spark plug or what happens when one or two of those hoses clamps from the three million that are in there dry rots or goes bad. I will have no pity for all these owners bitching on the forums about break downs and their truck at the dealer with their extra couple hp and 30 speed transmissions. Not me, love my dinosaur.
This video is spot on, I have been preaching the same things you talk about in this video. I have had many cars over the years from naturally asperated race car engines and some all turbo charged up and even some with nitrous. I can tell all of you, that once you add a turbo to any gasoline engine you start putting added stress on the internal parts, especially the bearings, now add thousands of pounds of towing with it and/or loading the vehicle up with more than 200lbs and your fuel economy turns to crap no matter what you do. I have yet to hear of anyone who got so much more fuel economy with these turbo charged trucks and/or SUV's. 1 to 3 more miles per gallon is nothing to even brag about, especially when it "poof" disappears once you add any weight to it. I will be trading my 2016 4Runner Premium 2WD with only 63K miles on it for a 2024 4Runner Limited or maybe and it is a big maybe the TRD PRO, I do not want full time 4WD though, if I can't find either that I want, then I will unfortunately have to turn to the Lexus GX550 with the better twin turbo 6cyl, at least that won't have to work as hard as the 4cyl turbo and will give me the reliability I expect from the Toyota/Lexus brand.
He's spot on regarding resale value. I just sold my 2011 Tacoma SR5 4wd with 110k miles for $17k. I paid $24k for it back in 2011. I loved that truck and never thought I'd sell it. Well, I'm 69 yrs old and my "off-roading" days are behind me. Two weeks ago I bought a 2023 4Runner SR5 Premium with 16k on it. I figure this will probably be my last vehicle. I was looking for more comfort, same reliability as the Tacoma, so the 4R was a no brainer. I've read all about the new 4R going to the turbo 4 and that doesn't interest me.
I've bern enjoying your videos, recently found them. I agree with everything you've been saying. There's a couple of reports on the Internet today, that a small number of dealers have the new land cruiser, in stock, for sale. However, once again, it starts, the dealers have raised the MSRP by an average of $21,000 each! Independent dealers, or not, the manufacturers should stop this disgusting practice, if by no other means, than stopping those dealers supplies.
I’ve been driving 4Runners since 1992 and have now owned nine of them. Have sold some & traded some, but the resale value of these is better than anything on the market. Currently own a 2021 Nightshade edition & plan to keep this one. Don’t know why Toyota discontinued the Nightshade. It’s a show stopper. Runners are built like a tank, great body style & trouble free.
I totally agree. Im thinking just like you. Question though should i wait for prices to fall later this year? Like autumn to buy a 2024 4runner? Prices should fall as pressure builds on dealerships.
I’ll be curious to see how the new generation goes, but I’m not too optimistic. Heck, I really wanted the current Tundra for my next truck. But I think I’ll be looking at the F150. It seems like Toyota is dropping the ball on their truck lineup. The Tacoma back seat is smaller than the previous generation and same goes for the Tundra. That’s just one point.
The new 6th gen engines have nothing anybody wants. Any increase in gas mileage is from the thinner and cheaper metals, the frames are thinner, and the body metal is thinner, not to mention, the plastics are cheaper material and thinner. The pressure and heat in those small engines will equate to a fast death, they won't last long. They scream and cry out loudly when asked to do very small jobs. Anything you ask of these small engines will wipe out the gas mileage. My advice if you buy these new, crappy, tiny, 6th gen 4Runners is, wrap a net around the engine and a net in the rear, to catch the engine parts when it blows up.
If you buy a 4runner expecting 0 depreciation over the first 3 years, chances are you will be disappointed. The last 4 years have been a big anomaly for car buying.
Bought a 2023 4Runner TRD OR Premium, with OEM TRD Pro wheels, exhaust, and grilll, and Canadian-spec with the 2-zone climate control, brand new, for $46300 USD (around $63000CAD) out the door in Feb 2023. Bought it for all the reasons listed here.
I don’t have many worries about the 2.4l turbo for the simple reason that I had turbo Cruze that lasted me (before I sold it so it may still be out there) 10 yrs 170k miles original engine and transmission and they were supposedly very unreliable. Admittedly is a little bit of an apples and oranges due to one being unibody and the other one body on frame… I guess we’ll find out.
5 reason not to buy a 4Runner: 1. Save for your emergency fund 2. Save for your 401K 3. Save for your HSA 4. Save for your kids' college 5. Paid off your house Your welcome....
Great analysis and I 100% agree. Also, (and I'm not a Nissan fan) interesting to note that for 2024, Nissan kept their V6 and V8 truck engines (no 4cylinder or 6 cylinder turbos); not sure what they'll do for 2025.
Good catch, they put those on that spec but supposedly don't have them available for the TRD Pro models. I prefer these and would feel jerked if my Pro didn't have them but and Off Road does.
they really only needed to make standard bigger radiator with a bigger transmission coolers, locking rear diff even on 2wheel drives, the 3.0 safety sense , the trd air intake and cat exhaust and the upgraded breaks to make a better 4runner and maybe a new screen on the nav system...
Traded my ‘21 SR5 PREMIUM for the first New ‘24 TRD OFF-ROAD PREMIUM in the Underground Color to be sold in my region of Texas back in December. It’s awesome and I love the old school 4WD Shifter at the Console. The ‘25 looks great too but enjoying the ‘24 💪🏼

I'm shopping either a 23-24 5th gen or new 4R. I get the concerns but are you that hard pressed in finding a positive in the new rigs? You say you're open minded but sounds like there's nothing that *could* be considered positive with the new rigs. Yes, its a boosted 4cyl with big screen which means "bad". Is it really all just doom and gloom? Okay, the 4cyl sounds weak, and "who wants it?" Well, who's excited about a v6 in a truck? I mean really, is a v6 really exciting? Truth be told, i want a small Toyota NA v8. There are certainly concerns but some mechanical or foundational advantages I'm seeing with the new 4R: -Larger 9.5 rear end -looks to be more robust front axle (assuming it's the same as the Hybrid Tacomas). -More gears in the trans, offering more available lower gears for low speed crawling and higher final gears for efficiency. -Combo of more hp/tq w/ trans with more gears could help those looking for regear or even supercharging their 5th gen which adds a lot of work and costs on top of a "14 year old 5th gen that still sells for 50k". -*finally* (*finally*) addressing frame rust issues by putting in more drainage and oiling the internals (though still good to fluid film/woolwax anyway). By "addressing", it's not revolutionary but looks like Toyota is taking some initiative here. Anyway, I suppose the solution is to not have a 6th gen at all? Should the 6th gen be just a 5th gen with a v8 and 4.30 gears? BTW, yes, that's what it should be IMO. :) But I'm not sure what you are suggesting as a solution for these new Toyotas. You know, it's totally possible to be unreasonably negative as it is to be a Pollyanna about the new Toyotas.
I rather have a torqued up 6 cylinder with a hybrid motor that takes away load making it more fuel efficient. I think the end result will be the same but the 6 cylinder motor would be taking less stress compared to the 4 banger that is taking in high compression.
I talked to the Toyota dealerships yesterday, there is zero Solar Octane 2024 4Runners in America today, if you see a picture of one in a lot somewhere, just call them up, it's fake. It means there is one in that color (slotted) to be on the lot. The first batch of Solar Octane was put on the ship 3 days ago and it's now underway. I was told late April to early May for the lot. They also told me if I didn't want the options like the sunroof, I can live without, to come in and go over all the options I want, and they will build one for me. I'm assuming that means they sit me down in front of their PC and I type in what I want and the factory in Japan gets the info. I'm not sure how I feel about that, kinda removes all incentives I might get if I just wait for one.
My father’s 04’ with over 200k miles is still running strong with a few brake/caliper issues that Toyota split cost with him. Got the sr5 for $25k OTD i know that’s 20 years ago, but damn - half the price vs today…
I have a 2000 gen 1 CRV with manual trans that has under 100k miles. I got it for 2k cash or the equivalent of 2 months of payments on a new 4Runner. I’d LOVE to get one new but I just can’t justify the cost.
You’re right about Toyota cutting production costs to build the new Tacoma down in Mexico and still increasing the MSRP’s saving themselves money and hurting consumers but then what about the Tundra? It continues to be built in San Antonio, TX even with the introduction of the new gen back in 22 there were reliability issues with early Tundras as expected so no surprise the same is already happening with some 24 Tacomas. Therefore the statement of “you get what you pay for” doesn’t truly apply. Suffice to say if you’re upset a manufacturer assembles any given vehicle in a certain country then simply don’t buy the product. No need to attach an agenda behind it if it’s the point you’re trying to make. It’s all a money game for manufactures at the end of the day. With your logic Americans in the market for a compact truck should buy a Hyundai Santa Cruz instead of a Ford Maverick because the latter is built in Mexico even though it’s an American brand and the former is built in the US even though it’s a Korean brand.
You compared a 24' Tacoma with MSRP $43.6 4runner w MSRP $46.8 MSRP Apples to Oranges. The fact you can fit 33" tires stick on the 25' 4runner and the long list of new features.

@@cmdrls212 America leads planet Earth in untapped fuel energy. 200 years of oil, 400 years of coal, over 10,000 years of natural gas, uranium, lithium, ect. It boils down to political will, to extract it. The USA is far from running outta fuel, lol.
Anybody heard of buying used? Just maybe wait 3-4 years and buy a 2023-2023 4runner
@@lrn_news9171 The problem with buying used is the bullshit dealerships feed you about the vehicles, like changing oil every 10k miles. Like the transmission fluid never needs to be changed, lol, and the warranty to the transmission ends at 60k miles. You have no idea how a used vehicle was maintained, and it make a huge difference, even with a 4Runner. ((EVERY)) engines has a break-in period and small bits of metal are distributed throughout the oil. If you're keeping the 4Runner long-term, you should do the first oil change at 100 miles, then 500 miles then 1000 miles, then every 3 thousand miles. ((ALL)) Toyota engineers make this claim, that's how I know it. Never get a transmission flush, on any vehicle. Buying used is rolling the dice, good luck to you.
That's disapating.
Selling it for the same amount you bought it for. Maybe a bit of a stretch. I have a 2020 TRD ORP and even I would take a lose some.
My 2020 4 runner SR5 is 4 years old and has 50k miles on her and I can still get what almost what I paid for it. I got an offer last week from Toyota dealer for $30K. I only paid $36K for her brand new in 2020 during covid, (MSRP was $39k)all toyotas were on sale. Everyone else was hiding in their basements from the scary corona virus, while I was out making deals on a new truck
Owning my 22’ Tundra open my eyes to buying a new 24’ 4Runner, 4Run meant for my retirement soon (not resale plans). Many trips to hell & back with no high tech worries. 😊
I'm buying a 2024 4Runner TRD Pro in Terra, it's allocated to me, should be at my dealership in late May or June. I'm very excited!
did you consider a ORP with the KDSS?
@@alh5470I purchased a 2024 TRD Pro that has the FOX shocks that come by default and it’s very good and stable on curves, turns or ramps. Better than stock 4Runner suspension. So I didn’t want the KDSS anymore, although initially wanted the KDSS, plus without the KDSS I can tune more the 4Runner. But I’m not going to change it for the first years.
Hey Junior, you'll not be disappointed. Bought mine in April. Already have been to Alaska, have already pulled out 4 cars that made bad decisions on the highway.
It would be funny if Nissan brought out a 4 Runner competitor with a 4.0L V6.
X terra 2.0
That would be a game changer
Emission regs. No chance.
Heard they are. Xterra coming back
Ok. Buy the Nissan. It’ll probably be a great engine. But I’ll stick with the Toyotas using Yamaha engines. I’d bet they’ll still last longer.
You are definitely, absolutely, positively correct on all your points, great video!
2023 motor is the same as the 2020
@@Offshore1977 I’m aware. I wanted to keep the same motor…not have the new one. Also wanted a PRO instead of the limited…

Good luck!
Do it. Do it now.
My 4.0 still runs great with over 350k miles. The beautiful 4Runner makes the 2024 Tacoma look hideous.
I don't have a 4Runner with that 4.0 V-6 simplicity but I do have the manual transmission 3.5L Tacoma that still has the original turn-key.. no push button 🔘 start here 😂 your spot on Untamed keeping it 💯% 🤙🏻👌🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻
I have a 2023 4R Pro. I would like better gearing and power in the mountains. Better gas mileage would be nice too.
Though I know reliability will suffer. I’m also interested in the MTS and crawl changes.
Perhaps in a couple years we will need to add a new LandCruiser or 4R to the family
People.... stop spending money on depreciation. Specially money YOU don't have... debt is modern-day slavery. Save your money, rainy day, retirement.... invest... etc. If you have kids, college or trade school is expensive. Think about your kids..... or don't. They will live with you when they are 50 years old....
You’re so right…imagine pumping that same $1,000 (+/- a couple hundred bucks) into your 401K and/or Roth IRA on a monthly basis.
@@thadlm2698you can only contribute $8k(if you’re over 50, $7k if under 50) total to all of your IRA’s per year and unless your company matches whatever you put in your 401k, you’re better off investing that $1,000+. But I’m not here to tell you what to do with your money, just providing options. No matter what anyone does, I agree, spending that much on a car per month is insane. My wife and I pay a total of $620/month for two cars. Which we both think is still too much lol.

Agree 100% with you Untamed. Proud owner of ‘23 TRD ORP+. 5th Gen 4R is going to be a legend in the Toyota stable. I’m sure we’ll all grow fond of the 6th but I’m glad to have my hands on the last NA V6 1GR-FE. Can’t wait for you to get a 6th Gen and give it an honest review.
I'm keeping my 2022 4runner until the wheels fall off
With proper lug nut torque you could just keep it forever.
Just got a new 2024 SR5 premium Ice Cap (07/06/2024). Love the ride and vehicle appearance. Great review !! Thank you !!
@@FrankLinares awesome man, congratulations! 👌
I’m so excited to be a Toyota 4 Runner owner! Just got my 2024 limited in May. 2 road trips and still getting to know her. I want this to be a long love story! I drive a lot and traded my 2020 ford explorer ST to get this
I couldn’t agree more!
Great channel!!!
was thinking about that but i'm not sure i can give up the KDSS and my 1.99% apr for the 24 Pro.. also was thinkin well maybe i can get an aftermarket trail cam and the TRD wheels for my 21 orp
Preach it brother! Am old school and staying with tried and true!
I have 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen... and I will 💯% be adding the new 6th gen 4runner.

You gave some great content with a very confident delivery.
Well done Sir v
I'm hoping I can buy a terra TRD pro by the end of the year.
A Masterclass overview of why icons remain iconic. Thank you.
An exceptional unbiased review of why I've always had a Toyota.
Hi untamed-I just sold my 40th 2023 and i will be picking up my 2024 under ground TRD PRO with in a week-Pumped!
I think he was implying that they are paying way less for the labor down in Mexico but are still making it more expensive to buy.
Japanese built is best ! Hate saying it but can’t deny
It’s made In Mexico compared to Tahara Japan. Do the research it’s a Lexus factory with long term employees that come from a great culture. 👍
Yup bought mine last year in Lunar Rock. Happy about it
My 5th gen 4Runner will probably outlive me
Glad to grab a 2023 trd pro last year.
Cheaper parts , higher prices, less reliability, come on Toyota !!
its the whole industry.
@@SLHJR0390 100% agree with you no doubt !
Best video yet untamed,Toyota fan boy telling it real. You are in your wheel house👌👌🇺🇲.
I bought a used 2021 Runner and saved a lot of money
Diesels have run Turbos for ages now.. Guess you hate sunroofs too because they 'leak'? LOLOL
I just ordered a 2024 ORP an hour ago! Can't wait!
Hm otd?? Planning on getting one
I got 21.2 MPGs in my 2022 Tacoma yesterday. Drove around all day on the side roads.
Great thoughts, thanks for sharing. I’m pretty certain that the 6th Gen 4Runner is built in Japan tho, isn’t it?
We need more content creators like you who are willing to hold these manufacturers accountable
I think the late year 2nd gen tundras truly have the best analog gauges in any vehicle
6th gen 4Runner now uses a prop rod to hold the hood open. C’Mon Toyota
Prop rod for the hood, yet automatic rear liftgate. Go figure! Much fail.
Just got a 24 XP package and it’s AMAZING!!!
Buddy you have no clue what you’re talking about. 😂

Great analysis and I 100% agree. Also, (and I'm not a Nissan fan) interesting to note that for 2024, Nissan kept their V6 and V8 truck engines (no 4cylinder or 6 cylinder turbos); not sure what they'll do for 2025.
Looks like the dealer installed the '21 style TRD Pro wheels on that Off Road, those look good.
Dealer installed and charged you 1500$.

There are certainly concerns but some mechanical or foundational advantages I'm seeing with the new 4R:
-Larger 9.5 rear end
-looks to be more robust front axle (assuming it's the same as the Hybrid Tacomas).
I think you're going to see it with the third gen Tacoma as well
15 yrs RD for the 6th gen 4runner and it looks like if the Sequoia and Taco had a baby. No identity and no wow factor. This is the end of the 4runner.
Being that this is Untamed, I’m sure he’s already got one of the 2025s on preorder
THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO. 👍
