I'm not British, don't even live in the UK but I so love your channel and I really appreciate what you are doing. You show people how they can save money and still eat something worth eating. We have a lot of convenience products here in Germany, too. The marked is flooded with a ton of "bio" and "vegan" convenience food , too(if you really want to call it that). Actually, a lot of that stuff is more expensive than cooking from scratch and when we add the money we throw in the bin because the meal isn't edible it's sums up quite rapidly. The Key is - like you also show in your videos - to make a plan what you want to cook and then look up special sales and compare prices. Buy what you really need and where you get good food for a reasonable price. The freezer is our best friend. I don't say one will live like a king by doing all this but we can feed our families with good meals and make ends meet. Don't know for the UK, here in Germany a lot of greengrocers sell boxes of mixed veggies and fruit for very little money in the afternoon of the last workday (Saturday) to avoid throwing it away come Monday when the new deliveries come in and people don't buy what doesn't look fresh. I'm not sure your shops are closed on Sundays but perhaps you find stores where they also sell for reduced prices before the next delivery comes in.
I used to buy those tinned breakfasts when £1 each and were a good store cupboard back up meal on toast, but stopped sometime ago when rose to £2 or more, much prefer Sharon’s 👌🏻 be round Sunday 😁 coffee & toast on the side please 😉.
Those "Hunger Breaks" in a tin are great for convenience. I do like them if I'm pushed for time or can't be bothered to do individual items. There's "The Full Monty", All Day Breakfast" and "The Mixed Grill". The trouble is that the items are packed in a tin and thus they sort of marinate in each others juices over time. Another great vlog from you guys. Keep up the good work, chucks!!
Ooohhhh breakfast in a tin…. Definitely not for me. Sharon’s face trying the ashtray sausage was a picture. 😂Your own breakfast was far superior and cheaper. Thinking I might have a cooked breakfast tomorrow. As always thank you both. 😊
I love the full monty on toast. It's a convenience. It all goes in the same hole. You can do full metal jacket with the tinned full monty without trying too hard.
Hi Sharon and Martin love your channel, I have just taken the plunge and got rid of my aegis cooker, over the last 6months I have purchased a ninja dule and a casori dule blase I love them both I have not used my oven since Christmas so john and I decided to by a induction hob like the one you use and get rid of the oven love the new hob we are saving a lot of money on electric this way and as pensioners that's very important thanks for all the advice you give keep cooking regards Elaine and John Garnett
I would not eat a mushroom from a can of meat and beans you two are courageous. If you were camping or starving I guess the can would work but you can't beat fresh. Love ya guys❤
That was an incredible breakfast for the price, unbelievable, just goes to show what you can have instead of that tin of god knows what it was made of, great video guys top stuff, 👍🏻❤
Fabulous job guys. That tinned stuff... couldn't tell if it had already passed through a digestive tract before serving. I've stepped in nicer looking things! That is a criminal product. Your budget breakfast looked spot on. Great tastes don't have to cost a fortune... just a little effort and knowledge. Keep up the fantastic work. Love your channel. Awesome.
Good morning. We have sausage & vegetables & verity’s in a Harvest Foods brand, very nice as a back up on toast, but does not tastes as good as the real thing. Thank you for proving it’s always cheaper to take the time to cook your own & do your dishes young ones .Elaine from Queensland,Australia.
good video.Hats off to you guys, you really put alot of research into everything, cost, weight, etc etc.People just watch these, but alot have gone into them,WELL DONE.x
I recently Purchased a Tower Duel Air Fryer i can even do Fried Bread on the Air Fry Setting. Just brush a Table Spoon or less of real cooking Oil on both Sides of the Bread using a Pastry Brush 🖌️ then put in the Air Fryer set to 210c and Fry each side for 2 minutes it is better than proper Fried Bread a lot Less Oil and Tasty and is more Healthy
I used to buy those tins for my husband to take fishing… but he wasn’t impressed 😂 … I didn’t mind them but they don’t need heating for as long as you did.
@butlersempire Of course, but you chose to compare the cost of your breakfast with the tinned version at the beginning, notwithstanding that it was virtually inedible. I only mentioned it because, in the current climate, the cost of making a meal can be a major factor if you are borassic.
had that tin once when i was younger for a quick meal, opened it didn't think anything of it found a piece of blue plastic as i put in the bowl, put me off having it since x
You both were brave to eat that orange mush. Its not for me 🤮I always buy streaky bacon lovely .I always find fascinating how Martin holds his fork , very unusual 😂 love all your videos . Thank you 😊
Oh Sharon, the look on your face speaks a thousand words!! I really wouldn't touch that tin of gunk myself, not fit for pigswill. Give me a proper cooked breakfast over that any day.
So great watching, past u tube video.Another great one martin and sharon 👍ps just payed in the co op £2.50 5 slices of black pudding m8🤔🤮,great videos both x
I don't like the breakfast in a tin either. I would make my own like you did. They have some really good value "essential" bacon in Aldi, smoked or unsmoked. It's just over £1 and cracking value 😊. Great video and I am trying to get through all your other videos that I have missed lol ❤
Totally agree with your comment about a corporate team signing that pile of dung off as saleable to the general public. Piss-take really. Feed it to the pigs instead.
You've made that poor tinned breakfast look like a waste of money...(such a contrast, seeing how affordable and fresh-cooked your version is...with a better variety of ingredients...can't deny how amazing a job you've done...) ✨🤙🏼✨👌🏼✨
I guess if you’re in the wilderness and the car breaks down, then the mobile packs up, and it snows so nobody can get to you, you’ll wish you got the full Monty then, on the other hand a can of beer sounds better.
I wish there was a way you could try the sausages from the place I get them! Thyre the best sausages I've had and not overly expensive either you can get salt & pepper flavour ones tomato flavour ones and just normal plain ones and they are all amazing.
20 pence for this and 18 peace for that. It's ok saying these prices but ya can't go into a shop and pick up 1 item of each. Ya have to buy a packet of each if ya don't have any in the house. So the price thing is abit silly lol.
@@butlersempire sorry guys it wasn't a dig of any sort. Just meant to make it and ya have nothing in ya have to buy a packet of each stuff so it can be as easy as saying 20 pence here and there
Yuck Id never dare eat that 2 quid slop, yours on the other hand... Burger in a breakfast, no way, omg we laughed as Sharon dared to go in. Lovely as always.
I thought perhaps if you were camping the tinned stuff would have been ok but you have deffo put me off lol. From scratch was so much better looking and I guess tasted better too. 👍👍👍
We have been waiting for our new Cosori, and for some strange reason our old one quit working! Anyways, we have been using the oven a bit more and did we ever notice the price of our hydro/electric bill go up!🤦♀️
Well done Sharon, for seperating that muck out at the end 😂 More patience than me, it would have been tipped on the plate. Beans with some questionable items vs a proper home made breakie. Unless it's an emergency, and there are better options in that event, or for a video 😂 I can't see why anyone would eat that!
Convenience comes at a price - and in this case its not just more expensive, but its utterly revolting. We need a revolution of cooking in the kitchen - now moreso then ever with the price of food due to inflation.
Going to warn the Aussie Govt to BAN "Hunger Breaks" Full Monty in a can 😝😝 Looked disgusting..maybe good for Dog food? Mind you!! Love my dog much more than feeding her that 😁
I would eat that tinned breakfast....... in a Mad Max world. Bleurgh. I don't care for baked beans too often and prefer just tomatoes on a brekkie. Tinned ones are ok and chopped not whole. I always add a bit of strong chilli powder or ground white pepper and a sprinkle of dried basil, give them a stir and heat them in the microwave in a suitable dish.
Your breakfast looks so much tastier. I like colourful food but not all orange. Have you stopped using your gas hob? Does the induction hob save money?
Good place for that horrible mush in the bin Looked horrendous love what you guys do and especially the budget cooking make people realise they can eat better to cook it themselves.

Hi Martin and Sharron loved watching brilliant
I totally agree with you Sharon the tin one looks horrible yours is so much more appealing 😋 xx
Tbh before prices went astronomical most super markets sold the Full Montey for a quid . Which was too bad for a quick easy meal for one on toast

It was not on all the time
Great work. For a fair price comparison you would have to factor in energy costs.
Really
Why? Would you do that for every meal you cook?
@@butlersempire No, but you were comparing £1.63 with £2 when they cost different amounts to prepare.

Hi Sharon & Martin, I’m looking for a 2 blaze air fryer, 5litre, but can’t see one anywhere. I don’t want one larger than this. Do you know of any?
No, sorry, the dual blaze is a 6.4 litre. Try the Cosori xxl 5.5 litre.
