  • The Greatest Boxer to Ever Live?
    Harry Greb - 261-18-19 49KO
Where do I begin with Harry Greb, his 33 victories in 48 fights against Hall of Famers is a good start - factor in it was against all willing to face him from Welterweight - Heavyweight (7 Divisions Today) makes it more impressive!
Greb defeated more hall of famers then anyone, names like all time greats in Gene Tunney, Mickey Walker, Tommy Loughran, Tiger Flowers are just the stars!
He went 45-0 in one year & in his peak, lost just once in 110 fights!
Despite being a Middleweight, Greb famously chased Jack Dempsey for a title shot & beat Dempsey up in sparring, he also gave Tunney his only career loss!
He would consistently fight sometimes close to 50 fights a year, anywhere from 6-20 rounds!
This is whilst dealing with close to 100 injuries, that vary from cuts - to broken arms in fights! He famously never drew the colour line & would fight anyone, no matter what their skin colour was!
Greb terrorised all at Middleweight, Light Heavyweight & Heavyweight through the 1910’s & 20’s. He had 300 Pro Fights many considered the most brutal of the decade, with close to 50 of those fights against Hall of Famers, and was only stopped twice! He was permanently blinded & spent the most part of his title run, completely blind in one eye!
His life & legacy is unmatched, he went a consecutive 52 & 56 fights unbeaten, ranging across the equivalent of 5 divisions today in his prime, within a 4 year span!
He sadly died at 32, in a life where he dodged bullets, fought weekly, beat up drunken trouble makers & mobsters & drove like a maniac! He truly lived fast & died young

Greb Is #2 of all time for me. He has a good case for #1 tho but I give that title to Sam Langford
