His exit was storybook. It couldn't have gone better. To close out TTUN at home decisively and then to finish winning the Rose Bowl WHILE grooming his predecessor to not miss a beat is what any fan would hope for. I am bitter sweet watching these segments as his amazing knowledge and passion to teach tells me he will be a coach again. Everyone rumors USC. That would hurt to see but he's earned the freedom to take advantage of all the opportunities he can get. Hopefully his medical issue gets under control.
Urban does an amazing job in these segments. His enthusiasm in sharing his knowledge tells me he'll coach again. All that being said, let's see what Chase does against legit lineman not the cream puffs we've faced so far this season.
I think he has proven now he is on another level than college competition. I'm not even an OSU fan but he is the real deal. He isn't going to have his hands full until he is playing on Sunday.
I been watching a lot of tape of Chase Young and been comparing them to good defensive ends like Demarcus Lawrence, Cam Jordan, Von Miller etc and Ive never seen a first step and speed like that in my life. There was plays where he didn’t jump the snap and the quarterback couldn’t get to progressions fast enough.
@@sesalalotoa2633 There is only one more successful coach: Saban. Dabo doesn't belong in the same tier as Urban until he wins his third natty, but even then I'd still be more impressed that Urban, like Saban, won nattys at two different programs.
@@cbo2762 Urban did beat Saban head to head but Saban has 6 chips and was apart of another one. Urban has 3 which is impressive but Saban is number 1 and I'm a Buckeyes fan. It's hard to be that consistent year in and year out.
Cincy isnt takign Young...when you need a QB and have Burrows there for you....you cant pass that up...QB is the most important position on the field...Edge rusher is 2nd..Left Tackle is 3rd
I cannot believe this kid is better than the Bosas but he just might be. Joey was the best rusher i ever saw, ALWAYS came through in the clutch but Chase, if he does this against better teams... Whew
He did it last year against better teams in the run up to the championship game. In the championship game and in the Rose Bowl, so we can check that box. Oh, and he did it on two sprained ankles.
@@kevinmurphy9022 he was great last year but at no point did I think better than the Bosas. Did you? This year... Hes jumping off the screen every other play just like Nick and Joey. Getting close, getting close, and then sack
@@scotthall7585 Honestly Scott, not last year. I thought his production matched theirs, however but didn't exceed it, foreshadowing what we're seeing now since he did manage to take that next step in development of his game. Is he better than the Bosa's at this moment? I'd have to say that at the quarter mark of this season that he's just as good as either of them and that's granting that he's played fewer complete games than they had at this point in their final season (though Nick's was injury shortened) What he does with the rest of this season will tell the story for me.
Skins have the 2nd pick and I want them to trade back and pick 2 first rounders but the more and more I watch film on young the more im convince this is a no brainier. Only problem is that we really don't need a pass rusher . We have montez sweatz, deron Payne , Johnathan Allen , matt loanittis and Ryan karrigan and even Tim settle who I think is low key a beat in the middle. If we take young this only means that we are trading Ryan kerrigan for a 2nd or 3rd. Man is a pro but young seems like a generational player. We have a tough decision to make. I'm ok with trading back and taking the next corner and reciever available. Possibly even getting a 2nd rounder too . 2 first round picks and a 2nd for the 2nd pick overrall. WhAt ya think ?
Trades can change all of that. Sometimes an awful NFL team can see a lot more value in a number of reasonably high picks versus the #1 pick. In the NFL one amazing player can only do so much when all positions need help. You are also taking a big risk putting it all on one player. We have seen #1 picks fizzle before.
Then why does Chase lead in TFLs, fumbles caused, and second in sacks? Chase must be doing something right as we're almost halfway through the regular season.
@@spencersmith4373 I hear ya. The video shows his technique against poor lineman, but he has done this againt elite lineman too. This is his third year of playing at an elite level and racking up stats. He's played against some good to great teams during his time: Oklahoma, USC, Penn State, Michigan, Washington. There's a reason why Mel Kiper has him going third in the draft while others' have him first.
Soul2Soul So far from the truth😂His first step is so good that he doesn't need to utilize anything besides a swipe move, but you're crazy if you think he can't learn and utilize more. Bull rush is also huge for him.
Chase will he number 1 pick if the picking team has a QB. Second, these Urban analysis are GREAT!

Montez was getting better, as the season went along. His upside is huge.
With actual defensive coords. He spent too much time dropping back into coverage. Let these guys play to their strengths
Got what you wanted lol
Love and appreciate Coach Meyer. Say what you will about him and his exit from Ohio State, but the man is an absolutely brilliant football mind.
