This was supposed to play from the moment you enter steamworks, until you press the switch and "Meltdown" plays.
Honestly Meltdown has a bigger impact when the previous track is just ambient noises so it was a very good decision overall, still had a lot of fun working on this one.

If I had a nickel for everytime MyNewSoundtrack uploaded an unused UTY track that is a total banger ,but had to be cut because it didn't fit the mood I'd have two nickels and honestly I hope I'll have more in the future :)

Funny, I'm trying to do the opposite, and remove the tracks from this game from my playlists, and this one is resisting... for some reason RUclips Music keeps autoplaying it
This sounds like a buildup to the hardest song I've ever heard, and since I believe Meltdown would have followed this (still need to play UTY), it makes sense
It would be really cool if you uploaded a version of this where meltdown plays right after maybe with some sound effects as well for the transition.
I might go into the files and replace the song that normally plays here with this one and see if that works
I’m so conflicted. This sounds so good and amazing but I completely understand what you mean in the description. Meltdown feels a little bit more special without it.

100%, Meltdown wouldn't have been as powerful as it was if this one stayed in the game

The soundtrack for the Steamworks is my favorite in the whole game. I love how this shares the same melody as the used version, but slower and calmer.

This is actually just angelic honestly, and reminds me of some of the powered down areas in AM2R
The way Meltdown just drops on you in Yellow is insanity though. Nobody enjoying the game blind expects that

I am loving these bonus tracks! It’s so interesting listening to them, understanding why they were dropped in favor of the official versions, but still loving what they bring to the table!

Could have worked if they made it really slow and quiet, then when it starts up you switch to the real song sliding up the speed/volume.
before i read the desc, i assumed this was like, a geno track. like in geno, you wouldnt turn on steamworks, and youd go through the facility while it was powered down while this played. this track gives me goosebumps so i think it'd work

i feel like this could have played AFTER you shut down the power, before the axis fight, if you backtrack to parts where Meltdown would usually play
I think this could of worked well for playing throughout genocide
thsi shoulda been used, powered down steamworks is a great idea, it didnt need to be a major part of the game, it could just be the hallway right before axis

I don't know if you made Meltdown, but if so, it has to be one of my favorite parts of the ost, the part after 2 minutes is simply divine. And yeah, I generally think it does harder without this theme preceding it. I just wish Meltdown didn't get cut off by the the silence up the stairs at the start of steamworks so quickly.

First I heard Meltdown, a beautiful and magical song, and now I found this, a version of Meltdown that I can't describe in words. This song gives me incredible feelings. It feels like ascension.
