Sjono So crude, why not say something more romantic like her kisses are lethal or something . Though he did score with one of the most sexily drawn female on comic book history.
I fell in love with Gambit on X-Men 90's Animated series-his look, voice, accent, characteristics, humor and vulnerability....he is my absolute FAVORITE!!! ^_^ Everyone on X-Men had a past and to cast him out for what he was associated with instead of his actions in the face of that massacre which was truly a reflection of his heart and soul was WRONG. SO STUPID. SMH
I know for a fact you won't see this but now that I have Disney+ I a 13 yo have just now seen the xmen animated series and am up at 12 at night trying to get the comics . So yeah I just wished other kids would watch stuff like that but now it's all about drama anyway yeah h0ave a good day.
I haven't read a comic since I was a kid, but back then Gambit was my favorite next to the Punisher and the Dark Knight. I've always been disappointed that Gambit has been ignored in the Marvel movies. I can't believe that Ant-man, a character I never heard of, for a movie before Gambit.
You can blame Bryan Singer for Gambit not being in the first X-MEN movie in 2000. Gambit was in the script and was supposed to be in the movie, but Brian Singer rejected it.
Is it weird that I "liked" this comment despite never having read a Gambit comic (nor for that matter any X-Men comic)? I guess I just approved of your enthusiasm.
bio2020 may be gambit is popular character in 90's but surely Wolverine was nd is popular than him Wolverine was 2nd most popular character of marvel comics after spiderman ofcourse
Gambit wasn't just loosing control of his powers, his powers were growing beyond his ability to control them. He eventually got to a point where ambient kinetic energy would permeate from him and detonate objects in his proximity. There is an alternate universe version of Gambit where his powers grew so much that he destroyed all life on the surface of the planet. Sinister retarded his powers back to a point where he could maintain control. Sinister tasks Gambit with gathering the Marauders as payment for what Sinister does for him, not because it was necessary to helping Gambit. The child he rescues from the massacre turns out to be Marrow btw. There is more to his origin. Sinister manipulated every part of his life, including his creation. Gambit is a clone made from spliced dna of Sinister and Summers family grown in a mutant surrogate mother, Amanda Mueller. Gambit is a result of Project Black Womb, something that Sebastian Shaw, Xavier, Irene Adler, and many other mutants all have in common. The arcs explaining this reveal how interconnected many powerful mutants are through manipulation of their families for generations by Sinister, how Sinister is seemingly immortal(killing his body sends his consciousness to a beacon that then puts it in a new host), and makes the disturbing revelation that despite his lack of any morality and his horrific and atrocious methods Sinister is the architect of mutant supremacy and his reasons aren't wholly evil. There is a lot you missed so I recommend you start reading some X-Men comics from the past 15 years. I know the X-Men very well down to silly trivia like their college degrees and allergies. You miss so much in your explanations of X-Men I can only assume that it's the same for the rest of your explanations.
+Jerry Atric Great info and well-presented, although I wouldn't be quick to knock ComicsExplained as a channel. Honestly, this is why I get turned off by comics in general, and X-Men in particular--the timelines and histories are so retconned, retold, reworked, and convoluted that everyone seems to have at least three origin stories or more. Look at what the hell they've done to Wolverine--his backstory is so convoluted and rewritten I've given up keeping track.
You are including X-Men: The End mythology in it though. And if I am not mistaken, that is just a *possible* reality. Just like Genext. Gambit's parentage has never been explained in the regular 616 universe.
Gambit has always been my favorite but sadly I have to agree that he's been poorly written for a long time. I don't think Marvel knows what to do with him at all. They leave him out of most major events and crossovers. I wish they would put him in a good series and let him shine again. There is so much they could do with him if they did it right. But with how Marvel is treating the mutants now to spite Fox, especially now that Gambit is getting his own movie, I doubt Marvel has any desire to give him another major push. I did enjoy the short lived All New X-factor run though.
ice9planet There is a rumor that Marvel and Fox are planning to make up for their poor relationship which I hope is true, so that then things will be back to normal---- Also Marvel didn't completely screw Fox over completely since the X-Men and Fantastic Four are still around in the newly rebooted Marvel Universe... And about the standalone Gambit movie--- I think if it proves to be a success. It would convince Marvel to put Gambit to great use this time around.
What they should do is remake the character, honestly. The new Gambit should be of a mixed ethnicity, Cajun and Haitian, and have come of age during post Hurricane Katrina, which leads him to relocate to Miami. The 'Zoe Gang' turf conflict in Miami would add a modern flare while still honoring the 'mythology' of the Thieves and Assassins guilds. Besides, it'd be awesome to see Gambit with twist braids and speaking some Haitian Creole. It really is interesting to think of how to reinvent a character that pays homage to the source material yet adds further dimension to who the original character is.
Gambit's one of the most powerful characters in MVC 1. I salute this cajun. He's a worthy opponent. once u get caught in his string of combos, you'll suffer a lot from his staff.
Step 1: Get a good grasp of Gambit's character and accent. Step 2: Learn some French. (Or actually be Cajun or French for bonus points.) Step 3: Cosplay as Gambit. Step 4: ??? Step 5: Make women swoon!
Maj. Spoilers You should google Chris Burns, he pretty much follow steps 1-3 - and i guess step 4 do some card tricks - plus his wife does a great Rogue cosplay.
As I child I loved Gambit. He was by far one of the most interesting of the Xmen characters but you're 100% correct. After his "Banishment" he never regained his status. He is now always doomed to be Xmen filler character that many won't appreciate unless they go back and read all of his (I hesitate to call it this but - ) "Classic" stuff but there doesn't seem to be any incentive to do that. Ah well, great video as always Rob. RIP Gambit being cool.
Gambit was cool for 2 minutes. I remember when he first appeared, man this guy was so damn awesome. There was a lot of intrigue about him, he looked good and he had a devilish attitude about him, he was the quintessential rascal with a smile. But when the mid 90s was under way, they tried to turn him into some tragic romeo and juliet emo pretty boy. But at the beginning he was like a cross between Vampire Lestat and Eastwood in The Good, the Bad and Ugly. All in all Gambit suffered in my opinion cause really the main creator of the X-Men Chris Claremont left his 20 years run shortly after Gambit's introduction in 1991. So the character was left an orphan, an hollow shell. Chris developed all the other characters very well into fully-fleshed humans almost but he never had a chance to complete the job for Gambit.
Gambit truly represents what's wrong with the FOX/ Non Marvel Universe. Marvel would recognise that characters like Gambit or Collossus as great characters with Fox it's like they never read a comic in their life.
ComicsExplained Sorry Rob, I forgot you did post a video on Dr Strange, What I mean Is Dr Strange Sorcerer Supreme, It was only really after this that the character became more than a 'super hero' and became extremely interesting as a character.
RUTGERMORTENSEN check out comicisland they got cool videos, time end 1 hour special was epic, much better than this guy. he reads is rather than explain it
for me Gambit was/is intriguing is because in the 90's cartoon his no touching love with Rouge and during the apocalypse arc Bishop revels that no one knows anything about Gambit. and he seems like the template for games like DmC, AssCreed, infamous games can you do Psylocke please
Thank you for that scene from X-tinction Agenda when Gambit got himself free with the piece if shrapnel in his leg. I still remember that comic after all these years because of how incredibly cool that was.
I love Gambit! It is great you did a video about him. WhatI like the most about his power is that it is awesome without being totally broken. Good job Rob, thank you.
While informative, I don't understand why nobody ever mentions his omega level New Son powers or his tenure as Death.I watched the Four Horseman video, ample coverage of The Hulk, Angel, and Wolverine, brief glimpse of Gambit.I understand they made him suck in that role (New Son level powers should have been restored), nonetheless...The writers since Claremont have gotten him wrong, he went from blocking bullets with his staff(got knocked out by an ice ball) and beating Wolverine( before he became a god), to the boring background character he became. He was cool because he always seemingly had an ace up his sleeve, got himself and others out of jams, and wanted the untouchable Rouge.Question, why did Sinister need him to lead the Marauders to the Morlocks ,when Sabertooth is an excellent tracker?Writers get paid to write lazily.
Gambit was my favorite back 90s cartoon. he like James Bond but with mutant powers. As a young boy who didn't want money, power and women with cool powers to blow stuff
Im an old school comic reader and long time fan of this channel. I've been waiting for a good Gambit recap and this was great. Thanks for showing the coolness of the cajun x-man.
rob your only problem in your character's history or origins is that sometime you focus too much on cultural view of the time and society as a whole and very little focus and the characters powers, is as though you don't research enough. yes generally we all know that gambit charges objects with biokinetic energy that explodes upon release. yeah we know wolverine has a healing factor and metal bones with claws and good smell. and I can go on and on about he general public knowledge on the character powers. however you are explaining the character and its origins I think you should research more into their powers explain them better, the extensions, their weaknesses. it should be a whole package if you are explaining a character not just how culture is used to be when the character cam out this and that, I mean is helpful info, and I like your insight but we wanna know more of the character in-depth
There are so many good characters Marvel has had that some of their worst writers have just ruined since the 90's. I think my favorite time period for Marvel is the 90's and early 2000's. I hope Marvel gets more professional writers in the future to fix some of the bad writers mistakes.
Hopefully you will revisit Gambit's role in Age of Apocalypse and the New Son arc. It was cool reading about how powerful he would have been if he hadn't been lobotomized by Mr. Sinister.
It would be really cool if you made a video about Gambit and New Son :) For some reason none of the origin videos I have watched on Gambit talk about him or New Son.
Gambit is waaaayy cooler! True, I would prefer Logan's healing power over Remy's, Gambit's character has more personality and style. Plus, he actually has a childhood and background!😅
If u think about it. The reason why Marvel probably did that was because that was around the time where Jim lee, Jim Valentino, Todd McFarland, Eric Larson and Rob Liefeld made a big push for creator owned comics and left Marvel. Thus was the birth of Image Comics. Image was a big Middle finger to both Marvel and DC because of the way they treat comic book creators.
I remember that move. They were mostly great artists with very few great writers and that's what killed it. They just ended up making X-Men/DC knock off teams with no sustainable long-term story. McFarlane's stuff being the main exception. Shame.
Nice! This proves once again that the 80's was awesome. At the time, Chris Clairemont was the one and only writer for the Uncanny X-Men issues. Backed by exceptional talents like John Byrne, Jim Lee, Marc Sylvestri, John Romita Jr. etc, they were the real driving force that made the X-Men very popular. The next batch of creators who took their place during the 90's up to 2000 were just there to ride on the popularity of these characters. And I so I stopped buying X-Men comics then.
El Kapitan Same. Once Claremont went so did the characterisation cohesion. And then when Lee left, the new artists and writers and the decisions they made just left me cold. I think I'm only just starting to get interested in some of Hickman's Avengers stuff but the mutant books just don't grab me at all - and this is even with the return of Magik who was my favourite. Only interesting character work I've seen is Cyclops and Emma Frost's.
I feel like people like gambit, spider-man, Deadpool, etc. because it is fun to see someone who enjoys having super powers and just has fun with it. No brooding, just justice with a smile.
Omg I didn't know Jim lee had a hand in Gambit. This makes me so happy because Gambit is probably my favorite X-men and Jim Lee is one of my favorite artists.
I was born and raised in New Orleans. Gambit has always been tied with Wolverine as my favorite X-men, and top 3 Marvel/Super heroes of all time. I really agree with the sentiment that Gambit during his initial time with the X-men was his best iteration. I am one of those people that fell out of keeping up with him when he was banished.
Channing is ok but he's too bulky for Gambit. I cannot accept it, sorry. Taylor Kitsch will always be Gambit to me. Love the way he played the cards and the bo staff on 'Gambit bonus feature With Taylor Kitsch'. So fucking good!
That Maurauders line up was a blast from the past I hadn't seen since UXM #222 (?). Riptide, Scrambler, Vertigo, I cannot remember the middle guy, Harpoon, Sabretooth, Arclight. Old school.
Besides wolverine , gambit was my favorite. Waking up in the morning watching X-Men was purely to see what those two were going to get into I really wish marvel would put gambit into the movies that have been coming out over the years.
Claremont didn't write Giant-Size X-Men #1, that was Len Wein. Claremont's classic run started in X-Men #94 (though he plotted X-Men #59 years earlier, written by Roy Thomas).
That part you spoke about tithing and you weren't sure since it may have been off Wikipedia. That particular part was a plot point in the 90s X-Men cartoon episode involving the guilds and Gambit.
Thanks for this vid, very well done and closure on my favourite character from the 90s. It's so true he never recovered after Erik the Res revealed his secret. I liked the New Som storyline but I always defer to 90s Gambit when I think of the character. Long live the Ragin Cajun!!!
I was never really an Xmen guy until I saw Gambit. Granted I liked Wolverine first, but Gambit is probably one of the most relatable characters in all Marvel for me personally.
Gambit could charge objects without touching them and lost control of his powers. This is why he asked Mr Sinister to reduce his abilities, he had quite the same powers as the New Son, an alternate version of his, who killed every version of Gambit fearing they ended up destroying their respective worlds like he did.
The problem with Gambit is that he hasnt been written well, but more so he isnt this character with intergalactic powes nor savage or ferocious ferrel like powers. he's a guy who has the ability to change animate objects to exploding objects and explode at his will. He's like a Daredevil with a innate ability or power. Or bullseye. but he doesnt fit into the Mutant world where he's been told where he belongs. He's an outcast of his own kind. he's at most an xfactor with an uncanny ability to also manipulate demonic sex fiend bitches into falling in love with him and forgetting about there Nymphomania/Evil Hoe like ways cause he fills them up. His name however referrs to chess matches where planning attacks from different angles and direction with pre calculated menuevers already figured out to gain position. Hmm he's definately a character to work with just not in x-men or x-facto, he is the coolest muthufucku on the roaster, I dont need the funny uniforms or the mind game from prof. x cause prof-x has a hardtime getting into my mind without adamantium bone structure, or cyttorak skull cap i'm muthufucken me..Gambit!
"The X-men dont trust Gambit!? Then Gambit dont need X-men." - Gambit
Greatest gambit line ever
fym
CeroneGames Go i remember that
Like some of them were spotless! That is what trips me out.
CeroneGames Go trying to figure out if I should name my dog Remy or Gambit lol it's a been a battle in my head for weeks now.
He's the guy always trying to tap Rogue's ass even if it kills him
Sjono Hey, can you blame him :p
Sjono worth it
Sjono So crude, why not say something more romantic like her kisses are lethal or something . Though he did score with one of the most sexily drawn female on comic book history.
Sjono good thing that her touch no longer kills
Sjono Death by Snu Snu
I fell in love with Gambit on X-Men 90's Animated series-his look, voice, accent, characteristics, humor and vulnerability....he is my absolute FAVORITE!!! ^_^
Everyone on X-Men had a past and to cast him out for what he was associated with instead of his actions in the face of that massacre which was truly a reflection of his heart and soul was WRONG. SO STUPID. SMH
Anon Smith he has been my favorite despite his poorly written history
I know for a fact you won't see this but now that I have Disney+ I a 13 yo have just now seen the xmen animated series and am up at 12 at night trying to get the comics . So yeah I just wished other kids would watch stuff like that but now it's all about drama anyway yeah h0ave a good day.
"Da' name is Gambit...remember it!" -Gambit
"Get it memorized." - Axel.
Dammit. Now that is a character crossover I would pay to see.
Ramy lobue ♠️
maximpact24 Gambit no de way
maximpact24 Mahvel
Thats the line he uses as he crashes a plane into apocalypse lol
I haven't read a comic since I was a kid, but back then Gambit was my favorite next to the Punisher and the Dark Knight.
I've always been disappointed that Gambit has been ignored in the Marvel movies. I can't believe that Ant-man, a character I never heard of, for a movie before Gambit.
Gambit movie rights is owned by Fox Studios not Marvel Studios....
Gambit has already been in a movie. He made an appearance in the fox studios movie X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE.
piece of shit movie... That's not the 'real' gambit anyway. they played ya boy deadpool too.
You can blame Bryan Singer for Gambit not being in the first X-MEN movie in 2000. Gambit was in the script and was supposed to be in the movie, but Brian Singer rejected it.
Rick Holden ant man has a bigger role in the marvel universe
Man I really love Gambit. He's just a smooth talking, chisel chin looking, slim rugged, charismatic man. I inspired to be him.
one of THE coolest characters created EVER
Is it weird that I "liked" this comment despite never having read a Gambit comic (nor for that matter any X-Men comic)? I guess I just approved of your enthusiasm.
So basically... Gambit was popular in the '90s
bio2020 this happened to me. the first time i saw the first xmen movie i was like wheres gambit?
Yeah, I remember this well, lots of dismay over no Gambit :(
bio2020 may be gambit is popular character in 90's but surely Wolverine was nd is popular than him Wolverine was 2nd most popular character of marvel comics after spiderman ofcourse
Gambit was the coolest (X-MAN) of the 90's!!!
gamble was my fav during the 90s xmen shows...
Lol gamble
ulol gago
Can't tell if you're a troll or just spelled a name wrong.
the names gambit remember it
*Gambit*

Wow .... that is great info.

Gambit's one of the most powerful characters in MVC 1. I salute this cajun. He's a worthy opponent. once u get caught in his string of combos, you'll suffer a lot from his staff.
Lol
Been looking for this comment!
Yup
DP busts that combo right up. Hes a strong character, but experience will allow you to end that combo string fast
Gambit is going to make his comeback I can feel it
francisco becerra.lanza He definitely will considering that the dude is now getting his own standalone film.
Its been 4 years .......do you want to tell me another lie
Step 1: Get a good grasp of Gambit's character and accent.
Step 2: Learn some French. (Or actually be Cajun or French for bonus points.)
Step 3: Cosplay as Gambit.
Step 4: ???

12 minutes just to say: Gambit is a badass.

Gambit's popularity dind't fall beacuse of the massacre, it was because cyclops had to shine
They had plenty of time to work on Remy, long before they concentrated on Slim. They just didnt care to. Logan however, got a lot of attention.
Who is Gambit? Someone who hasn't been written well for a LONG time...
pious83 to be fair there hasn't been a well written xmen comic in a long time
rasheedqe
Whedon's Astonishing X-Men was the last one in my opinion.
pious83 meh I liked him in the X-23 comics. Especially considering that X-23 and Gambit would occasionally team up with wolverine and jubilee.
Agreed...
Damn straight. But when he's done right its spectacular.
Gambit was a misfit and a mystery. That is what made him awesome and my favorite character. Fuck Wolverine.
DOCTOR FUCKING STRANGE ALREADY JHEEEEZZZ
RUTGERMORTENSEN You want me to do a video on Doctor Strange? Like, in addition to the video I already did?
ComicsExplained Sorry Rob, I forgot you did post a video on Dr Strange, What I mean Is Dr Strange Sorcerer Supreme, It was only really after this that the character became more than a 'super hero' and became extremely interesting as a character.

Shaddowkhan I'll check out the channel thanks,
There's always been a special place in my heart for Gambit, man... Somethin' about that Cajun accent. 😍😍😍
Gambit is BY FAR my favorite character in marvel. His origin story is one I can get behind
I love the Ragin' Cajun!
YES! Gambit finally! my favorite marvel character
Gambit is my favorite mutant.
for me Gambit was/is intriguing is because in the 90's cartoon his no touching love with Rouge and during the apocalypse arc Bishop revels that no one knows anything about Gambit.

Gambit has always been my favorite "hero" out of the marvel universe. Ty for posting this.
I've always loved Gambit, but I'm also from Louisiana.
Thank you for that scene from X-tinction Agenda when Gambit got himself free with the piece if shrapnel in his leg. I still remember that comic after all these years because of how incredibly cool that was.
That Joe "Mad Dog" Madureira XMen #350 cover doe.
This is why I LOVE this channel. Thank you!
"Un-physical relationship with Rogue."
DUH! LOL
Aye man. Im pretty sure she can touch via rubber if you catch my drift lmsao
I love Gambit! It is great you did a video about him.
WhatI like the most about his power is that it is awesome without being totally broken.

my favorite xmen other than nightcrawler and wolverine, awesome video as always...
That took me back in time....lol. Let's do Bishop next?
No mention of New Son? only a brief pic of his time as Death? sheesh
Im an old school comic reader and long time fan of this channel. I've been waiting for a good Gambit recap and this was great. Thanks for showing the coolness of the cajun x-man.

Very true! I actually knew all this already, either from my comics in the 90's(which I still own), or even TV and video games!😅
Gambit is the best!
Yes! Gambit!
Gambit is still badass. Hey Rob, would you ever do a video on when Gambit hit omega level? As usual, keep up the good work!
There are so many good characters Marvel has had that some of their worst writers have just ruined since the 90's. I think my favorite time period for Marvel is the 90's and early 2000's. I hope Marvel gets more professional writers in the future to fix some of the bad writers mistakes.
Awesome video please keep them coming! Do you think you will ever cover Thunderbird and Warpath's origin or story? Most over looked hero's IMO.
I may be wrong here, as age can do funny things to memory, but, I do seem to remember Gambit being in the Marvel Universe back in the 70's as well...
I've read some forums talking about Gambit possibly being omega level before sinister preformed surgery on his brain?
Zach Vargas I too would love to see a vid on an omega level gambit
He did one.
Hopefully you will revisit Gambit's role in Age of Apocalypse and the New Son arc. It was cool reading about how powerful he would have been if he hadn't been lobotomized by Mr. Sinister.
Gambits powers are so cool
Gambit was one of my favorite characters from the 90s. To me he fits best as a anti hero like Namor.
hey, dude, so green arrow is my favorite superhero. could you do something on him??
I LOVE GAMBIT. thanks for this video cause I didn't know that much about him
You posted this one day before my birthday two years ago. Gambit is my favorite xmen so thanks for the bday present man :)
It's odd too that "this is important work" and " Don't wait too much".
Gambit my #1 fav character of all time! glad u made this video
It would be really cool if you made a video about Gambit and New Son :) For some reason none of the origin videos I have watched on Gambit talk about him or New Son.
who is gambit? One of the coolest x-men after Wolverine.
Sheldon Smith cooler
Sheldon Smith F A C T S
Gambit is waaaayy cooler! True, I would prefer Logan's healing power over Remy's, Gambit's character has more personality and style. Plus, he actually has a childhood and background!😅
Top 5 coolest xmen
#1 Wolverine
#2 Gambit
#3 NightCrawler
#4 Psylocke
#5 Rogue
Honourable mentions: Storm,Cyclops,Iceman,Boom Boom
Thank you Rob. Only Gambit origins video on RUclips
If u think about it. The reason why Marvel probably did that was because that was around the time where Jim lee, Jim Valentino, Todd McFarland, Eric Larson and Rob Liefeld made a big push for creator owned comics and left Marvel. Thus was the birth of Image Comics. Image was a big Middle finger to both Marvel and DC because of the way they treat comic book creators.
buba hotep yep. Loved Wildcats btw.
Image comics?
I remember that move. They were mostly great artists with very few great writers and that's what killed it. They just ended up making X-Men/DC knock off teams with no sustainable long-term story. McFarlane's stuff being the main exception. Shame.
That one panel before X-Men Alpha starts is my favorite of all times...Remy and Marie's last kiss...just wow!
“Gambit is my favorite marvel character EVEEEEEER” really is all that needs to be said lol
Omg I didn't know Jim lee had a hand in Gambit. This makes me so happy because Gambit is probably my favorite X-men and Jim Lee is one of my favorite artists.
The origin of Gambit was told earlier than you indicated, in the late-'90s Gambit solo series written by Fabian Nicieza.
The best review of anyone so far. Gambit is love and life !
man I luv your outro music
I totally agree with that.
Cant agree fucking more , exactly
it's a shame Johnny Depp is like 50+ he'd make a great Gambit.
I can see that happening
James Franco
Home run, this is what I look for from this channel.
i like gambit because his clothes are cool as hell, his powers and his eyes too. he just too badass
That Maurauders line up was a blast from the past I hadn't seen since UXM #222 (?). Riptide, Scrambler, Vertigo, I cannot remember the middle guy, Harpoon, Sabretooth, Arclight. Old school.
Great video, love that you ended it with the final scene from Legion Quest
Besides wolverine , gambit was my favorite. Waking up in the morning watching X-Men was purely to see what those two were going to get into I really wish marvel would put gambit into the movies that have been coming out over the years.
Nice break down on Remy Lebeau. I new some of his back story but not all. Can't wait til his solo movie comes out hope it done right.
when i was young and didn't even know how to read he was already my favorite character in the animated series
Well I still love Gambit. He's definitely in my top ten, maybe even top 5 of my fav x-men characters.
Top three for me when I found out how powerful he really is his stock went up
Claremont didn't write Giant-Size X-Men #1, that was Len Wein. Claremont's classic run started in X-Men #94 (though he plotted X-Men #59 years earlier, written by Roy Thomas).
Everytime your videos end, I dance.
That part you spoke about tithing and you weren't sure since it may have been off Wikipedia.
That particular part was a plot point in the 90s X-Men cartoon episode involving the guilds and Gambit.
I loved the video Rob!! Can you do an origin vid on Rogue and jubilee as well???
i started laughing when i heard "the most powerful guild in all of new orleans" i mean seriously! hahaha.
Huge fan dude luv ur work
As usual excellent video👍
Subscribed to you channel last week, and I love your content keep doing. Great Job
One quest. Will you continue Infnity war part 2?
thanks
Thanks for this vid, very well done and closure on my favourite character from the 90s. It's so true he never recovered after Erik the Res revealed his secret. I liked the New Som storyline but I always defer to 90s Gambit when I think of the character. Long live the Ragin Cajun!!!
Bravo! My favorite character was well x-plained!
Gambit is my favorite X-Men, I wish he had more story these days, he's very interesting.
this orgin is alot like the one used in the 90's xmen animated series its a good story i accept it
Gambit is a Cool X-men character
I was never really an Xmen guy until I saw Gambit. Granted I liked Wolverine first, but Gambit is probably one of the most relatable characters in all Marvel for me personally.
My childhood ended with Wolverine losing his antamatium & Gambit getting the x-boot.
great video man. would like to know more details about expulsion and downfall of gambit.
