Damn I remember watching game 7 of the World Series and at that time I didn't want the Cubs to win, but after a while I thought they deserved it. It's been a long drought for them. And as I saw the last play, I realized it was more than just a win. Just think about all the former and late Cubs players, how after all this time. They can finally show the W. I personally am a White sox fan and I always hated the Cubs but I honestly have to give them respect for this. Just to think of it is amazing that it's been so long and we all witnessed history. And that's one of the best World Series I will probably ever see in my lifetime.

don't fault a team for getting "hot" at just the right time. they had one of the weakest bullpens in the league going into the playoffs and two of their starting pitchers were out for the season.... and they still swept the red sox and nearly swept the blue jays. however, it caught up with them in the world series - which the cubs barely got away with after that rajai davis homer in the eighth. that's just baseball, dude...

2016 was most likely the most amazing year in baseball history... lots of good times and bad, but overall just so many amazing things happened this year. Ichiro 3000 hits, scherzer getting 20 strikeouts in a single game, Bartolo hitting his first homer, and most importantly, the Cubs winning their first World Series in 108 years, so amazing and made me tear up. Thanks for the great recap video!

Assuming I saw this video from 2015 and someone told me that I was looking at the "future 2016 MLB season"
      - I wouldn't have been surprised to see each Blue Jays clip
      - I guess I would be surprised at David Ortiz, but his final year was more soon than later
The rest I would've made a large bet against them happening. 2016 is gonna be one of the most remembered baseball seasons for like 20 years

The World Series Game 7 of The Cubs and the Indians was the most tense and insane game that I ever witnessed. I was only 22 even at my young age it was a painful night but, it was worth watching this historic moment for the team and for Chicago. Even now a year and half later that night is still fresh in my brain and I think it will never leave. I got the hat, the shirt and the memories for a long time to come.

I'm a NYM fan for life. Watching Jose pitch was easily the most annoying thing to me simply because the mets couldn't hit him to save their lives. When I found out he passed me and my father just couldn't stop tearing up. A hall of fame pitcher gone as such a young age. When gordan hit that homer. I clapped and it was the first time I rooted for the opposing team. Tears to my eyes. RIP Jose

I can't explain how incredible of a moment Dee's homerun was. I have naturally always liked Dee because I'm a dodger fan, but I didn't really care much about Jose, until he passed. Dee obviously doesn't hit for much power, so for him to do that under those circumstances, it brings me goosebumps every time I watch it to this day.

The 2016 season is when I became a real baseball fan. I watched almost all of the Blue Jays game including Canada Day 6h13min, 19 innings, 26 hit marathon that ended in a heart breaking 2-1 loss against the same indians who would go on to beat the Jays, in the ALCS.The Blue Jays didn't even have any pitchers left, 2B Ryan Goins, who hadn't pitched since high school, threw a scoreless inning (18th) and 2B Darwin Barney even managed to fan an Indian before allowing a solo shot in the top of the 19th that would ultimately give him the loss. This was without a doubt one of the most memorable baseball moments of my life, but the fact that it wasn't even the best game of the season tells a lot... We got to experience a World Series that was straight out of a movie ; Game 7, extra innings, clutch homers, out-of-this-world pitching the end of a century long curse. Being a Montreal metropolitan area resident, MLB is hard to come by, so I made the 8hour drive to Toronto a couple times and was rewarded with a live epic grand-slam by 3B Josh Donaldson. I also attended my first post-season game during the ALCS, with a delirious 43,000 sellout crowd at Rogers Centre I also had the pleasure of seeing one of my childhood heroes in David Ortiz go out like nobody before him, putting up MVP worthy numbers that would put to shame most players in their prime, and many other great memories from both the season and the post-season. This is why for me, as a young (22) French-Canadian Baseball fan, the 2016 campaign will always stand out as one of the greatest summer of Major League Baseball history and my life.
