When I heard the news, I stayed hours locked in my room crying. Fernandez was going to start the game that night, then he died. May his souls Rest In Peace
It is just part of being a fan. It doesn't matter who you root for because in the end, everyone is a fan of the same thing, which brings them together and makes everything better and easier for everyone.
Damn I remember watching game 7 of the World Series and at that time I didn't want the Cubs to win, but after a while I thought they deserved it. It's been a long drought for them. And as I saw the last play, I realized it was more than just a win. Just think about all the former and late Cubs players, how after all this time. They can finally show the W. I personally am a White sox fan and I always hated the Cubs but I honestly have to give them respect for this. Just to think of it is amazing that it's been so long and we all witnessed history. And that's one of the best World Series I will probably ever see in my lifetime.
TheKillerB idk if u know this but colon meant to do that he gave him a pitch he can drive what a class act by him and they were also chasing a wildcard spot
don't fault a team for getting "hot" at just the right time. they had one of the weakest bullpens in the league going into the playoffs and two of their starting pitchers were out for the season.... and they still swept the red sox and nearly swept the blue jays. however, it caught up with them in the world series - which the cubs barely got away with after that rajai davis homer in the eighth. that's just baseball, dude...
I wish the photographers had left Big Papi alone on the mound. That's the only thing I want changed. Boy will it be weird watching the Red Sox, minus a player who has played for my entire lifespan.
Great video. The Hernandez story is just so sad. Dee Gordons HR was incredible. Best moment of the year though was Bartolo's HR. That guy just cracks me up....he's just amazing. My favorite player...
I have to say, I think my favorite moment this season was when Grandpa Rossy hit a home run in his final Major League at-bat, *in Game 7 of the World Series*, in the first World Series win for the Cubs since 1908. I mean, does it get any better?
One of the saddest moments, Jose Fernandez passing... I cried so hard... I went to that memorial game and left I couldn’t take the pain he was such a great person... may his legacy live on
2016 was most likely the most amazing year in baseball history... lots of good times and bad, but overall just so many amazing things happened this year. Ichiro 3000 hits, scherzer getting 20 strikeouts in a single game, Bartolo hitting his first homer, and most importantly, the Cubs winning their first World Series in 108 years, so amazing and made me tear up. Thanks for the great recap video!
Just want to thank every single person who watched a video of mine through the past year, it's been a great journey that I never saw coming, thank you for your support this year, and here's to one more!
also forgot david ross home run at his last game at wrigley field in regular season. that was pure magic also, damn. I thought I went over with Gordon's HR after Jose's death. so many feelings flowing.
Wrigleyville Zoo I'm a die hard Cubs fan to it's hard to say that now when there are bandwagons but I am a Cubs fan for real and it's amazing Miguel montero gets only 2 hits in the postseason that were game changers grand slam against the dodgers and that RBI game 7
2016 was a Rollercoaster of a season. I'm a Dodgers fan so things didn't work out for my team in the post season but I'll never forget Vin Scullys final season. And that game 5 of the NLDS was amazing. But this year above all gave us one of the best world series in baseball history. That game seven will be talked about for years to come.
Andrew Behrend because not so long ago these things would've been thought not likely to happen. cubs winning the series, jose Fernandez passing away, two Yankee prospects hitting their first homeruns in their first at bats back to back. Some of it is just crazy
Assuming I saw this video from 2015 and someone told me that I was looking at the "future 2016 MLB season" - I wouldn't have been surprised to see each Blue Jays clip - I guess I would be surprised at David Ortiz, but his final year was more soon than later The rest I would've made a large bet against them happening. 2016 is gonna be one of the most remembered baseball seasons for like 20 years
I'll never forget that Rajai Davis home run. Ever. This was the first time I got to watch a huge sporting event while at college and we're mostly Reds and Indians fans on campus. When he hit that home run it was almost as if our dorms exploded. People started running out into the halls in celebration.
The World Series Game 7 of The Cubs and the Indians was the most tense and insane game that I ever witnessed. I was only 22 even at my young age it was a painful night but, it was worth watching this historic moment for the team and for Chicago. Even now a year and half later that night is still fresh in my brain and I think it will never leave. I got the hat, the shirt and the memories for a long time to come.
I'm a NYM fan for life. Watching Jose pitch was easily the most annoying thing to me simply because the mets couldn't hit him to save their lives. When I found out he passed me and my father just couldn't stop tearing up. A hall of fame pitcher gone as such a young age. When gordan hit that homer. I clapped and it was the first time I rooted for the opposing team. Tears to my eyes. RIP Jose
Jays Games I still can't believe patriots fans forgot about spy gate. Or maybe they are just bandwagon fans that weren't around at that time. Either way we should have ran the ball.
I can't explain how incredible of a moment Dee's homerun was. I have naturally always liked Dee because I'm a dodger fan, but I didn't really care much about Jose, until he passed. Dee obviously doesn't hit for much power, so for him to do that under those circumstances, it brings me goosebumps every time I watch it to this day.
At 9:00 I cried when he hit that home run idk why I did but I think it was for the number 16 guy I don't watch much base ball but on youtube in a way I do
Every time I watch Vin Scullys goodbye message is gets me more and more hyped up to be the best player I can be. I’m not sure why it just makes me want to play until I physically cant anymore.
A banner year for we who treasure the diamond. A calendar of such beauty and such a woe, a season that carried us as far as it dropped us. One that gave us Dee Gordon's HR, and the end of the curse. 2016 will be missed, but will never escape our memory.
yeah its been a hell of a ride for the 2016 season. But one of the saddest to go bye. good bye jose 16, good scully, and best of all, BIG PAPI. All the moments they shared with us, and now there gone. Congrats to the cubs, and all the wonderful moments in the 2016 season.
7:17 my Dad's friend just had a baby and he called that home run I swear to God he said home run to left field and then I got so mad because I wanted the Cubs to win it's not my favorite team I just wanted them to win oh my gosh it was crazy
The 2016 season is when I became a real baseball fan. I watched almost all of the Blue Jays game including Canada Day 6h13min, 19 innings, 26 hit marathon that ended in a heart breaking 2-1 loss against the same indians who would go on to beat the Jays, in the ALCS.The Blue Jays didn't even have any pitchers left, 2B Ryan Goins, who hadn't pitched since high school, threw a scoreless inning (18th) and 2B Darwin Barney even managed to fan an Indian before allowing a solo shot in the top of the 19th that would ultimately give him the loss. This was without a doubt one of the most memorable baseball moments of my life, but the fact that it wasn't even the best game of the season tells a lot... We got to experience a World Series that was straight out of a movie ; Game 7, extra innings, clutch homers, out-of-this-world pitching the end of a century long curse. Being a Montreal metropolitan area resident, MLB is hard to come by, so I made the 8hour drive to Toronto a couple times and was rewarded with a live epic grand-slam by 3B Josh Donaldson. I also attended my first post-season game during the ALCS, with a delirious 43,000 sellout crowd at Rogers Centre I also had the pleasure of seeing one of my childhood heroes in David Ortiz go out like nobody before him, putting up MVP worthy numbers that would put to shame most players in their prime, and many other great memories from both the season and the post-season. This is why for me, as a young (22) French-Canadian Baseball fan, the 2016 campaign will always stand out as one of the greatest summer of Major League Baseball history and my life.
The Jose Fernandez one gets me every time
Jahova_Jr same
same. tho im a cubs fan may he rest in our hearts
Roberto Gonzalez Indians r better just saying we lost our people so Indians r better
Marisol Eberst uncalled for
Marisol D you have no idea what you are talking about no respect
I just cried over the Jose Fernandez tribute. I can't get over it. It still feels like a bad dream
Bobby i feel you. never considered myself a marlins fan, but i was during that game.
definitely didn't cry 🤧🤧
Bobby I didn't because he pretty much killed himself he was drunk and on cocain going at high speeds in shallow water so...
Everyone was a Marlins fan that night.
When I heard the news, I stayed hours locked in my room crying. Fernandez was going to start the game that night, then he died. May his souls Rest In Peace
Cried when Dee Gordon hit the homer in and was crying... Most respect I have ever seen
Connell Sassen me too
No gonna lie, it was touching especially to play the day after (?). No team should have to go through that.
Ok, when the photographers swarmed David Ortiz during his goodbye I feel like they ruined a very sentimental moment.
Peters Vlogs What was that good bye
He was retiring
I agree.
Peters Vlogs true
Photographer's ruin everything
did I just tear up over big papi, cubs winning the ws, and jose fernandez? I did
DevinMoe I only did to Jose
Panda1738 same and i don't even like the Marlins
DevinMoe the Dee Gordon HR got me
It is just part of being a fan. It doesn't matter who you root for because in the end, everyone is a fan of the same thing, which brings them together and makes everything better and easier for everyone.
DevinMoe I was thinking the same thing lol
Sports: best year yet
Rest of the world: what the hell happened
NokiaCupSeries unfortunately true
NokiaCupSeries not for Cleveland they lost 2 championships and won 1
NokiaCupSeries the best part is Cubs winning the World Series
Cleveland hasnt won in 50 years. Nobody here cares about the indians or cavs losing
Tripdeck5 actually, they won 2 and lost 1 so get your facts straight
RIP Jose Fernandez. Your personality, your dominance, and everything about you will be deeply missed. Baseball will not be the same without you.
Celebrity Waffle That got me to at the end to close it out.
Celebrity Waffle I love Jose Fernandez I'm sad to
Damn I remember watching game 7 of the World Series and at that time I didn't want the Cubs to win, but after a while I thought they deserved it. It's been a long drought for them. Some random guy productions my grandpa dad and me all wanted them because we have been cubs fans for like 80 yrs including my great grandpa
i love the cubs and was waiting for that moment for a long time
As a salty Indians fan, I cried when that happened. Out of sadness at first then I thought about it. I cried out of happiness for the cubs.
108 years
Try being an Indians fan so many times so close...we are pushing 70 years...
anyone else tear up on Jose Fernandez and not even like the Marlins
yea i did
Zack21120 musically Zack21120 me
Zack21120 musically Zack21120
Zack21120 musically Zack21120 no because I'am a blue jays fan so I don't care
Shrieking Chicken!!! im a blue jays fan to i just think its sad because he had so much potential
Who else believes that the cubs and Fernandez are by far, the most unforgettable
Me, as an all time Cubs fan
Nah Fernandez is by far
Fernandez by far, cubs sold out to win the World Series and everyone on the planet is finding out about it LOL!!!
Andrew Bova salty lmao
SSG Fishing actually I prefer barbecue or ranch tbh.
Probably the greatest season in baseball history.
Yeah except the Cubs won the world series
David Bob Exactly. The highlight of the year. Unless, of course, you loathe the Cubs.
Person Time all is great but Cubs fucking suck cardinals got robbed of postseason
+David Bob and Jose died
Fire Dude Gaming Could you give me one plausible reason why the Cubs suck and that the Cardinals should've been in the postseason?
man i almost cried my heart out with Jose Fernandez and dee Gordon hit that home run
t swizzle Same here
TheKillerB idk if u know this but colon meant to do that he gave him a pitch he can drive what a class act by him and they were also chasing a wildcard spot
Axsh Champ lol that’s probably not true plus you have no proof to back that up
Same
Zaak Gaming ye I do he threw it right down the middle and threw way less harder than his usual throwing speed it’s an Honorable move by Colon
That was a hell of a game 7. Both teams fought so hard for it, but it was good to see the billy goat slaughtered.
Amen
You guys believe in a curse? This is coming from a fan who his city has not had a championship in 50 years
SusBusGaming 94-67 is not the worst team to make the World Series. Go and look up teams like the 2000 Yankees, or the 2003 marlins.
Andrew Behrend I was the 50th like!
don't fault a team for getting "hot" at just the right time. they had one of the weakest bullpens in the league going into the playoffs and two of their starting pitchers were out for the season.... and they still swept the red sox and nearly swept the blue jays. however, it caught up with them in the world series - which the cubs barely got away with after that rajai davis homer in the eighth. that's just baseball, dude...

now they've won the world series, the first time ever without him after the curse
Even as a diehard Giants fan, I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that Vin Scully will be missed.
yes he would
I mean... Isn't Vin scully actually a Giants fan himself?
Greysen Gagné yes he is
tear up everytime i listen to his last speach. gree up with him since 95
and soon following, dick enburg. as a diehard padres fan, i completely agree
2016 may have sucked in general, but it's one of the best years in the history of baseball.
Rein Engel and for basketball in my opinion
It was the best year ever dude
Rein Engel no it didn’t because the cubbies won the World Series!! Go Cubs Go⚾️
Especially for Chicago
Rein Engel yeah I agree it was great year of baseball, but not in general
Got damnit who left these onions on my keyboard
Allfath3r What the actual boi
Allfath3r I
Allfath3r hi
Me too
Those damn onion ninjas will get ya
It's something about watching men cry for not only a teammate but someone that was basically family, just makes me tear up
Great video. The Hernandez story is just so sad. Dee Gordons HR was incredible.
Best moment of the year though was Bartolo's HR. That guy just cracks me up....he's just amazing. My favorite player...
RapIsDeadly it's not Hernandez it's Fernandez. Again FFFernandez
Arnold Mejia
Error on my part. I know it's Fernandez...just wrote this too quick. Should I kill myself so you can feel better about this?
RapIsDeadly nah I just wanted to make sure u knew
@@RapIsDeadly yes
I have to say, I think my favorite moment this season was when Grandpa Rossy hit a home run in his final Major League at-bat, *in Game 7 of the World Series*, in the first World Series win for the Cubs since 1908. I mean, does it get any better?
I wish you would of included Michael Lorenzen's home run in his first at bat after his dad died
Yeah, I cried when we hit the homer for his father.
One of the saddest moments, Jose Fernandez passing... I cried so hard... I went to that memorial game and left I couldn’t take the pain he was such a great person... may his legacy live on
R.I.P Jose Fernandez ;(

GarrettClark10 Sony Movie Studio 13 and Shadowplay
EXE-Edits thank you very much for making these awesome videos I love everyone of them 😃😃😃😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Have a great 2017👍🏻
What about David Ross retiring
EXE-Edits 6:30 made me cry. And 9:26
I am a cubs fan and every time I hear Cubs win the World Series it gives me the chills
should have included Dee Gordon taking the first pitch batting on the right side of the plate
Healy6 Hey man I'm subscribed! Love your content!
Healy6 IKR
Hell ya man respect for that
I love dee Gordon he is such a good sport and very kind
Omg hi healy6 im subscribed one of the best mlb the show players ever
I totally teared up when Dee Gordon hit that home run. What an emotional moment.
also forgot david ross home run at his last game at wrigley field in regular season. that was pure magic
also, damn. I thought I went over with Gordon's HR after Jose's death. so many feelings flowing.
What a year of baseball it was. Full of happiness, and heartbreak truly love this game more than any other game on the planet.
I'm a lifelong cubs fan and that homerun at 7:17 was the most devastating thing I've ever witnessed for a long time
Wrigleyville Zoo at least you guys won it all
yeah
Wrigleyville Zoo it was a great game, but it seemed anticlimactic for it to end on an infield grounder.
Nothing ever has been, or ever will be as devastating as the 8th inning in Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS.
0:16 I like how after punching Bautista into next decade Odor then slaps him with his glove hand for good measure.
This is a quality comment
rangers are so bad at baseball
Good shit dude.... ah! right in the feels! Who put the onions next to me. Great video on the real.
2016 was a Rollercoaster of a season. I'm a Dodgers fan so things didn't work out for my team in the post season but I'll never forget Vin Scullys final season. Man I cry every time I see that clip from Ortiz
Such an emotional rollercoaster. Going from tears of joy for the cubs to sorrow for Hernandez and the Marlins.
I love how you saved Jose Fernandez last very heart touching
God damn. Thank you Vinny! Cried like a baby when he retired. Thanks for voicing so many memories of mine.
if you showed me this video a year ago I wouldve thought it was fake
EchoCub why? The Cubs won the World Series
Andrew Behrend because not so long ago these things would've been thought not likely to happen. cubs winning the series, jose Fernandez passing away, two Yankee prospects hitting their first homeruns in their first at bats back to back. Some of it is just crazy
EchoCub it would have been because the footage didn't exist
Assuming I saw this video from 2015 and someone told me that I was looking at the "future 2016 MLB season"
- I wouldn't have been surprised to see each Blue Jays clip
- I guess I would be surprised at David Ortiz, but his final year was more soon than later
The rest I would've made a large bet against them happening. 2016 is gonna be one of the most remembered baseball seasons for like 20 years
I wouldn't have been surprised about Ichiro and Stanton too
I'll never forget that Rajai Davis home run. Ever. This was the first time I got to watch a huge sporting event while at college and we're mostly Reds and Indians fans on campus. When he hit that home run it was almost as if our dorms exploded. People started running out into the halls in celebration.
god you cant even hear Joe Buck when the Cubs won the pennant
Thank God
look up on youtube Joe Buck superbowl promo
Yaaaaayyy!!!!!!!!
wait, joe buck was there?
IttzzMatt good joe buck is annoying
The World Series Game 7 of The Cubs and the Indians was the most tense and insane game that I ever witnessed. I was only 22 even at my young age it was a painful night but, it was worth watching this historic moment for the team and for Chicago. Even now a year and half later that night is still fresh in my brain and I think it will never leave. I got the hat, the shirt and the memories for a long time to come.
The Vince scully call brings me to tears every time
I'm a NYM fan for life. RIP Jose
before the vid starts ... bartolo's dinger better be on here
FUCK YEAH IT IS
Celebrating victory is the best feeling when your team has won the game. Where your fans are amazed of the victory that you’ve conquer.
This was your best vid yet good job
Cried like a baby. Thank you for putting this together.
This was a great video. Loved it so much!!
Ezria and Spoby n
Daniel Moati What's dose that mean?
Well done man
forget the indians blowing a 3-1 lead, i still can't believe the seahawks threw the ball
Jays Games LOL
Jays Games I still can't believe patriots fans forgot about spy gate. Or maybe they are just bandwagon fans that weren't around at that time. Either way we should have ran the ball.
Jays Games no one cares
Trick shot Masters you care enough to reply to the comment
Jays Games Warriors blow a 3-1 lead and so did the Indians

only in texas do they chant usa in a brawl smh
Shitty Mexican players.
OkayNiceOne as I said neither of them are Mexican
Otis L. Richardson I know. I'm just acknowledging that Mexican players are trash.
Well, the Blue Jays are a Canadian team...
Otis, they chanted USA because the Blue Jays are a Canadian team and the Rangers are an American team.
Every time I watch Vin Scullys goodbye message is gets me more and more hyped up to be the best player I can be. I’m not sure why it just makes me want to play until I physically cant anymore.
I always tear up when I see that rajai davis hr
Madden Mobile Toots 3-1
Madden Mobile Toots Cleveland fan?
PrimeTime yup
Madden Mobile Toots I'm a cubs fan but u guys did really good
I do too, especially with Tom Hamilton's call. I am so pumped for next year. let's win it all!
Best year of baseball in awhile, cant wait for the 2017 season. Go Jays!
Even if his attempt was in vain, Rajai Davis will probably be a Hero in Cleveland.
If not Baker Mayfield.
Nathan Mohr he said Cleveland not a specific sport. And Lebron will always be Cleveland’s hero
A banner year for we who treasure the diamond. A calendar of such beauty and such a woe, a season that carried us as far as it dropped us. One that gave us Dee Gordon's HR, and the end of the curse. 2016 will be missed, but will never escape our memory.
Oh, and Batista being punched in the face.
2:20 I WAS THERE! You can faintly hear me saying "YES! YES! YES!"
Jose Fernandez... Every time man... Watching it live I was crying like a baby.... Now I cant help but tear up.
Who else loved Lebrons reaction at 7:38
Probably the most memorable year of baseball in history. The odor Bautista fight, That amazing game seven, and the cubs winning the World series
Damn I always cry whenever the Jose Fernandez stuff plays
Bartolo You May never play for my team but you will always have my respect. You’re a class act and a man of honor. From a Miami fan thank you.
0:16 that’s me and my brother fighting over the Xbox. (I don’t have a brother it’s just for the memes lol)
2016 had it's fair share of happy times, record breakers, and emotional moments.

The Jose Fernandez one made me cry
The last clip where Dee Gordon hit a hr
And hit it for Fernandez
That is true sportsmanship and true friendship they all comforted him
That's a true blessing from God for him to hit that homer
Colon is such a nice dude, serving Dee a pitch like that. God bless everyone involved with Jose, fly high.

Nah I agree
