for a commando, I would choose a combat knife because it fits better in the role, but the shovel is nice, it is a versatile weapon and the special attack is great
I did consider this but I have never been able to roll a good combat knife! Perhaps I should put some more plasteel towards getting a good one! Any suggestions on the blessings?
@@TheWarhammies Flesh Tearer is mandatory and then any of the blessings that buff crits or power. I prefer the mk6 for its heavies, but the original is great as well.
This is perfect. Maybe I have read the Gaunts Ghosts book a few too many times but on my first play through as a veteran I wanted to try for a Tanith Build
I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Infiltrate gets a bad reputation due to it being used as a panic button, so you don’t see it very often. Have a good time trying it out!
I had a Stealth build with a similar loadout. Running Mk VIII because it has better cleave, with hit and run because it gives you ranged immunity on close kill which will be happening a lot. I think there's too many points in stealth, the -90% threat is the most important because enemies ignore you as you kill them, the double use has utility but you've had to drop elite kills give ability cooldown reduction which will give you more ability uptime in the end. The Damage one is good, the damage reduction one is a waste when combined with the reduced threat one. You don't need all the nodes in Weapons Specialist, just the main one. With the points saved you can reach from the 50% supression node to elite kills give CDR and Iron Will. Also get Supression immunity, +25% ammo which you need with Braced Autogun (especially without survivalist) and +15% Elite damage. That also takes into account Krak Grenades which have better utility than smoke. At the top of the tree it's better to run Close Order Drill and Confirmed Kill. That's pretty much the start of every build unless you need reload speed or longshot.
I’ll have to give it a go playing around with infiltrate as the extra points could be used elsewhere in the skill tree. I’ve chosen smokes as they don’t see much gameplay and I like to challenge myself to try new things! With regard to the weapons, I’m running low on plasteel at the moment so I had to make do with the blessings/traits they rolled with!
I'm pretty new to Darktide but between Zealot and Veteran I always find myself in melee because playing on the 2nd difficulty I feel useless when a Psyker just melts everything... Maybe once I'm a bit higher things will feel a little more impactful and a single class won't end up carrying...
Some classes don’t come into their own until you unlock certain weapons or talents at higher levels. For example, the Zealot keystone talents are vital in upping your power output and killing efficiency! When you start to up the difficulty, each person will have to provide a role to the team as the game director will try to overwhelm you from all sides! Keep at it! Once you learn the basics of dodging and your class’ specific play style, you’ll be beating auric maelstrom in no time! 😁
Not tried any of the stealth tree yet so this was great to watch. Ive also not tried tbe braced autoguns as i di prepare aiming down the sights. Whats the benefit of braced ? RoF ?
I’m glad you enjoyed the content! So it all depends on the autogun you use. The one I’m using in the video, (Graia MK IV) gets an increased rate of fire when you brace it. I’ve not really played with the aimed autoguns, but they have the main benefit of being able to aim! I have seen players put in some good work with both, so give them a try and see which ones you like best.
On shovel put 25% flak/maniac and Carapace and on Gun put 25% flak and Maniac :) I personally would never recommend a wound curio but as a not sweat player I can understand. On veteran I usually go +3 stam (Or replace that with HP depending on build), 17 Toughtness and 21 hp with Stam regen, block and cooldown reduction of all possible :) Do you have a discord? would like to play with you sometime :)
I’m running very low on plasteel at the moment! I’ll make sure to apply some refinements to the weapons and curios once I pick enough up! I tend to take the wound curios as I have some bad habits when playing! I’m currently testing a zealot loadout without one!
@@TheWarhammies I'll take that as no discord yet ;) Yeah the struggle of plast we all get that lul. Looking forward to seeing you in full confidence and action soon!
I try and make my builds have different play styles (including the weapons) but always support people playing around with them for their preferences! 😁
From a meta perspective, probably! I always like to try new weapons with my builds to give them different play styles. I always support making changes with the build to suit your own play style! 😁
I’m glad you liked the video! It’s one of the pains of playing on controller! For some reason the braced auto gun has terribly low sensitivity when being braced, it’s like wading through mud! 😂
Not a bad autogun but no stagger is 🤮. It can fck you up sometimes like in a dreg rager horde. And also why don you have your shovel and autogun stats refined? Many people dont refine their weapons and i really dont know why lol
@TheWarhammies mk II helbore special attack has crazy stagger. It's such a fast poke too. It's comical just stun locking ragers with boops to the face

Nice lil video showcasing this type of build and ability. It's not something I see super often and seems like it can be real useful.
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
I joined a team with nothing but veterans and it just dominated. Didn't speak a word but we had each others backs the entire time.
It’s always great to have a team that works together perfectly! I’m glad you had a blast!

Underrated channel ❤
Thank you for the support! ❤️
I hope Fartshark buff or rework the smoke grenade.
I hope they do too! It’s a shame to see only a few people running it. 😁
Very cool to find a build that uses infiltrate. I've been thinking of playing with it and this gives some great idea to how to do it.

how did you get the mask cosmetic
It’s part of the vanguard bundle. Unfortunately, it’s no longer available and was only obtainable if you played the game before a certain date.

The lack of refinement is very much due to a lack of plasteel! Since making these build videos I’m running rather low on resources!
