that is a build that I will try some day, I love the boltgun, specially with the new changes. the one problem is that I never got used to the marksman's focus, I don't have a good aim to keep it up with the weakspot kills, and standing still in a game that requires mobility is... wierd... Good video by the way!
I’m glad you enjoyed the content! 😁 When it comes to marksman’s focus, I find its better to treat it as a passive buff you’re not aiming to get but rather something to benefit from occasionally when you hit your headshots! The standing still is odd but allows you to generate those stacks when enemies are coming at you from a distance! 😁
I love my Bolter, and i still rely too much on my Shout for Toughness, as i’m still pretty bad at ripostes and dodging to use Ex Stance. Yesterday we had our own Auric Storm Survivor on a 4th tier (Heresy?) mission, and normally, we (all pubs) “nope” and tiptoe around Daemonhosts, but they were like, “Bring it”. I kinda helped and didn’t die, so that’s a win. The Bolter just feels so good. On higher difficulties, other players have been super generous with ammo too. I’m very shooty and shouty.
I used to suck at dodging until I ran what is now my Psyker duelist build which forced me to learn (I still make the occasional mistake though). It’s a skill that you’ll build through playing and trying new weapons and play styles. The weapon you run also makes a huge difference, the dodging on the knife is much more forgiving than the power sword. The bolter is a blast to use! I’m glad you’re having a good time on Darktide! 😁
@@TheWarhammies the bad news is i play on xbox , so my dodge and crouch buttons are different from 2 of my main games of late, KCD and CP2077, so i often hit the wrong buttons 😟
The problem i see with the perks in the bolter is that from the 23 enemy types 12 have flak armor, 3 lesser enemies and 9 specialist/Elites. So you will get more benefit from flak perk instead of 10vs Elites. Also we already have a 30% reload speed talent, 10% reload perk on weapon does not grant us much benefit but a the cost 2 skill points we can have the talent. Fire frenzy is good but this blessing works better in weapons that have higher ammo capacity, bolter have a long reload you will lose fire frenzy bonus damage while reloading. Takedown talent is good but you need to be good at aiming because will only give you 15% toughness + 10% damage reduction but kill confirmed will give you 10% and 20% regeneration. Both secondary talent active skill are not necesary not wasted but you cant get better talents with those 2 points like 10% rending and 50% damage reduction talents. A wasted point is the 3rd talent from keystone, we need to maintain 10 points of exe stance to get 10% rending. Slaughterer, sunder and rampage are better secondary perks for power sword, Brittleness only works well against high hp enemies and most of the time you will kill enemies in 1-2 hits of energized attacks. Very risky build that needs a lot skill to make it shine. You need to have very good fundamentals of the gameplay.
Boltgun was always able to pierce targets my dude Patch notes were for *limb* penetration, which means if an arm was in front of the target's torso you would just do torso damage. Boltgun's pretty much always been this busted since it last got patched, just nobody realized until now.
That explains it why it felt better to shoot! I’d never really used the bolter prior to this video and always thought it was a fun weapon but now it’s amazing!
@@TheWarhammies I maxed everything out and got the same loadout. the only problem is how long it takes to reload which may cause me to lose health/take mess ups I had to learn that once it was out, automatically switch to melee till it's safe to reload cause even with the perk for reload it still takes awhile to reload but other than that very solid. I got question I wonder what difficulty you play on when making these vids cause I've been stuck on malice and want to move onto damnation.
Sub optimal build, You're missing two fantastic nodes in the middle of the tree. Iron Will and Bring it down (especially with bolter) would be much better. You do not need determined, as I'm pretty sure exe. stance has built in suppression immunity. Iron Will will make you so much more tankier, I'd run catch a breathe instead of get back in the fight.
Sorry to hear you didn’t like the video. None of these builds are designed to be optimum or min maxed, but rather a fun way to play the game. I like my builds to take different perks and have distinct play styles, so that’s why I haven’t picked up some of those talents this time. 😁
Great video man, this build looks super fun!!!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😁

You make some good points! As with all of my builds, I support people making them more optimal or editing them to fit their play style. 😁
Thank god you’re here to advise us that uniformity is the best ingredient for creative build crafting.

Boltguns been busted since release i dont know what this """last patch""" is talking about.
How does it have a life system and powers like that?
Wait I thought the whole point of the bolter was that it explodes inside the target. Why does it pierce now?
Depends on range, it pierces up close when the bullets haven't had time to "arm" csnt remember the exact range but just test it in the psykanium
naw gonna do this on my 5th build, WALL HACKS. the gun as well holy it looks fun and sounds good.
Good to hear you enjoyed the video! Let me know how it goes! 😁

Hello! Awesome video! I'm Guilherme, a thumbnail designer, I'd love to chat, do you have any social media where we can connect? Thanks! :)
