defiantly ! don't get too bogged down with "meta" though i toughly recommend the Bolt gun, the Recon Lasgun and the plasma as all work amazingly for the Vet now. as for melee, Power sword is still a good pick, but so are the Chainswords and the newly unlocked Duelling sword
@@BroadsideGamingTV No no meta's exist for a reason. I have the same discussion in every game. With the same people. Yes you can have "fun" but don't drag down everyone else because you bring the worst loadout into auric maelstrom. But they never learn.

You may consider swapping Rending Strikes for Field Improv since rending increases your armour penetration and its negligible for plasma. As well trading grenadier and +5 crit for +10 melee and Agile Engagement for dreg gunner headshot breakpoint (you have demo supply anyway). There is a lot of ammo now so survivalist isn't that important unless you have a friend running something like Rumbler + Blaze away + Blast zone + max explosion radius with gunlugger orgyn to sustain such stupid stagger and damage...
Shredder frags are wayyyy better than kraks imo, especially if you’re already bringing a plasma gun. Kraks are great at their niche of burst damage to crushers and bosses but your plasma gun already covers those, whereas the shredder does a lot of stagger and softens up hordes. The stagger it deals to crushers is also enough to let you clutch a revive if someone’s mobbed by them. Also field improvisation gives your team so much value from med and ammo packs I almost never pass it up. It affects all of the packs your team drops while you’re alive, not just the ones you put down. I’d definitely swap out grenadier for it since demo stockpile makes grenadier obsolete anyways. If your ogryn is running nukes you’re basically guaranteeing him at least 3 nukes every game.
toughness regen is trash. it's only the regen from passive regen from coherency when disengaged from combat... aka, worthless in any difficulty about like malice because it's interrupted any time an enemy is within like 4 meters and winding up to attack you. like 90% of you actual toughness is gained from your talents/kills, and that's not impacted by these toughness regen %'s on the curious.
It reduces the time before toughness starts recharging(in coherency) which means you dont have to sit as long, cowering in a corner, before you get toughness back. It allows harder pushes sooner, and helps you keep fighting in a variety of engagements. It increases the speed you get toughness back. It not taking as long to get back to full toughness is a huge benefit in a firefight. Combined with the earlier restart, you can get into a gun fight way more often, and possibly stay in it longer due to getting a few more hits back in the same timeframe as someone without regen speed. TL:DR- Toughness regen speed affects BOTH speed and cooldown for toughness regen in coherency.
@@discordapplications7606 swap grenadier, the crit chance before it, and rending rending strikes for volley adept, one motion, and tactical reload. you wont have as many grenades or do as much damage but if you only reload right after a kill and never empty your plasma, its wayyy faster
Just reload when you aren’t fighting, the plasma gun has so much magazine capacity that you can fight an entire hoard and still have ammo in the magazine. I usually reload it in elevators or after I know there are no more enemies and only if I’m more than half way through a mag.
Loving all the updated builds since the update. Keep em coming! Great stuff!
110%
thanks bud, really apricate it ! we'll have aload more coming over the next few weeks !
I haven't played Darktide in forever. Revolver and Power Sword was the undisputed meta when I last played. I might try this and hop back in again

Thanks dude ill switching out to +10 melee and agile engagement a try !

good point my dude, when i update the build i'll add in field improvisations, and i'll give the frags another try!
Agreed, kraks overkill if you've got a plasma, bleed stacks on chaff for the win.
Facts you never take frags for damage, you are running the plasma for that, you take it for that stun for clutch revives and 3 stuns on demand
Shredder definitely shines for its bleed utility

@@BroadsideGamingTV that’s what I can’t stand.
