- The rubber grips on my D300 warped after years of use, so I decided to replace them. It was quite fulfilling and satisfying to be able to give this great camera a fresh new look.

Hi Andy, I was looking for a video to replace my batteriedoor on my D300, which falled into peaces yesterday, but as I also have D700 which needs a rubber grip replacement, I stop over. I must say that I really enjoed your toutorial. Thank you! I could see in your smile on the end of the video, how much you love this camera. You encouraged my to try this replacement on my own. Hi Andy, today i fix the loose rubber on my D700. Ist was fun, although I got Some problems with the quality of the gluing tape. The thumb-rubber dos not really look good. Anyway, this is an 12 year old camera, so it´s okay for me so far. Want to send you some pictures, but how?

Hi which screw do i have to take out from the battery compartment ? There are 3 in a row and 1 separate please let me know as I have to do the replacement

John Onis the D300 is an excellent camera, I’m very satisfied with its picture quality. Perhaps, you would like to consider a D300s? It has video capability over the D300.

Sir where did you uave your mirror mechanism cleaned? I have the same issue with my d300. The mirror will stay locked up even if its not in MUP mode
