I love Vick, but I think his memory isn’t serving him well here. Nick Foles had already been his backup for a year going into 2013 (the season he’s referencing). Foles got significant playing time due to Vick injury. There was a competition because Mike Vick was NOT playing at a Pro Bowl caliber level. Could not stay healthy. He had one pro bowl caliber season. 2010. He didn’t even make it past week 5 in 2013 before Foles replaced him, again. He threw 5 TD and 3 INT that year. Mike Vick always been a little bit cocky lol. He had some incredible moments with us, but he’s remembering wrong, in my opinion.
I loved it when the eagles fired chip Kelly, and then he went to a place where a real college genius once called home and got fired in 1 year, he didn't invent anything just ran plays fast and kept his defense on the field that might in college with 120 man roster but no way 53 in NFL

@yeadogthazmyboi bro most good QBs sit and learn behind a vet. Rodgers and Love did it. Mahomes did it. Brady did it. Herbert did it. Hurts did it. Lamar did it.
This is why they went 4-12 and got Andy Reid fired. Patriots were doing hard conditioning the week before the Falcons Superbowl, but these guys wanna complain about doing it in training camp.
I remember being the only person saying that I would leave Foles in after he helped win the their only Superbowl. They benched a champion for Wentz and they have not won it before or since. Stupid decision.
It didn’t work because chip Kelly thought that running fake RPOs with sam Bradford who was never going to run the ball thus defeating the entire concept of the offense was the best plan
Never understood the Chip Kelly situation. He literally destroyed a great team. I remember people accusing him of being racist because of the players that he was keeping compared to the ones he was getting rid of, made no sense.
Stephen a Smith started that based on some dudes at the barbershop n then next thing ya know it's talked about every day n then the players were saying incorrect stuff cuz they were butthurt
He was a one hit wonder .. we remember the ppl they had around him not too much what he did …that system and players worked wonders for him…after that …..nothing
I’m not gunna lie, chip Kelly’s idea would have work/lowkey worked and in a way changed the league. The only issue was that most nfl players are divas (no offense but ego is a big issue as seen by how it ruined chip kelly himself) not too many players commit to excellence and rely on talent alone. Love Vick but that’s literally why that eagles team didn’t amount to nothing. In a way it’s to be expected with young men in these dynamics but I wish they would just out their head down and just do the job they’re paid to do. In this case Vick was supposed to be the elder wiseman of the team but that didn’t work. Like look at how miserable they are a whole decade later still bothered by it lol like again no defendant of chip Kelly but I’m just tired of guys who are privileged enough to play the game they love as a job just throw it away over ego. In a poetic sense they both destroyed each other when all they needed to do was just trust in the system. And he is a 40 year old still complaining about having to do his job lmao 🤷♂️ chip works in the college lvl because those guys for the most part just do their job.
If a guy has the talent to do something you don’t, you don’t have the right to tell them what to do. At the pro level talents overshadows hard work. Effort isn’t everything.
@ oh I completely understand but the fact remains, those who truly dedicated themselves are the ones society admires for their excellence. More people will remember Brady in terms of NFL history 2000-2022 era than Vick or djax 🤷♂️ my point remains
Chip the coach went 10-6 and was a missed FG away from a playoff win, Chip the GM gave away all the players that got him those 10 wins because of ego and couldn't evaluate talent to save his life
Not true. Every player was drafted by Chip except Marcus Smith (thinks that's his last name) which is one reason why he was fired cuz he took too much control of the team away especially from Howie. Howie got rid of desean, didn't resign maclin, Chips mistake was trading files for Bradford. Lurie is who brought in Demarco Murray cuz he wanted to turn the negativity about shady being traded into a splash move

Facts. Major crybabies and they're crying now it's just they have a good record this season...so far
At least Vick said they were being run too much. Injury risk overuse.
I agree it seems like chip got tired of their shit
Not me! Chip is and always will be Ahole!
I'm not even an Eagles fan and I used to call him "Chip Smelly."
shout outs to Vick not downgrading one of his former coaches. YOu can tell he tries to take learning lessons from all of his experiences.
How crazy was it Nick won a Super Bowl
Idk why its crazy, Nick Foles was young and Vick was regressing at that point in his career. Nick Foles was incredible that year.
When it comes to kelly, it appears that the players got the last laugh. Salute...Mike Vick
Maybe they need to stop whining.
Vick being in a competition with Foles going into 2013 wasn’t weird considering how much of a train wreck 2012 was
Kelly should have relaxed a bit, but grown men so angry to be told what to do. They look petty and selfish complaining years later. Stop being such complaining lil punks.
“I smoked him for 5k” hell yeah. Vick racing Shady?! Too cool.
Why is a qb battle between Foles and Vick crazy? Foles has a SB ring and a SB MVP trophy.
Couple of things DJack & Shady STAY ON BS when it comes to anything they never tell the truth or whole story if it doesn’t sound good nd don’t let them tell one where they catch a L you’ll never here em admit it smh shame yall still great players but cap gotta stop especially on their pod
Chip Kelly was on the verge of something great with that Eagles team. Had it won it all it would’ve rivaled the west coast offense of Bill Walsh.
Chip had to run them alot to get them in shape for his offense they were a up tempo no huddle offense when he was coaching
You’re a podcaster now ?
The QB competition was not that asinine. Chip Kelly was a first year coach and Foles was a good QB. It was really close the whole off-season until Foles threw a bad int in preseason. And Foles ran Chips offense better than Vick
maybe I'm just a fan and don't see it straight but Foles always played well for the Eagles. A few years he did special things. I don't think Foles in a QB battle is crazy like the host
I swear, I was on a group call with the homies the other night a went on a 30 minute rant on how Chip Kelly ruined the Eagles....idek why😂
That picture behind Vick is fuckin fire 🔥
God if only someone had thought, what will happen if we double the number of plays we run and doing so every 12-15 seconds instead of 35 seconds.
How come none of the pundits, coaches, players said "this ish is not sustainable"?
Chip Kelly ruined something that could have been 1 of the greatest offense of all time ECSPICALLY how vick developed his passing game but if Andy Reid was still there vick with deshan Jackson in prime Brent celeck in his prime shady McCoy in his prime I think Zach ertz was there Jeremy macclin in his prime vick at his best his best season was with the eagles
That pass to Riley Cooper started the nightmare! Packers had NO ANSWER TO A RUNNING MIKE VICK ! Birds should have won Super Bowl that year ! Firing Andy Reid How Crazy is That ! Chip Kelly you are a marked man in Philly!
Chip Kelly will never out run the wya he destroyed this team and that team and our guys. I mean just wow never seen anything like it he was so fucking toxic! Till this day it’s just wow bro! So hard to still stomach it.
Meanwhile Chip Kelly ain't never seen a treadmill or elliptical that he liked...
I love how Vick in the most slinky way wants to try and take some credit for the limited, yet substantial success that Foles had in his career...oooookay Vick👌🤦🤦
Im sure he benefited from just being in the same QB room as Vick.
That's not how I read this at all.
Vick ain't have shit to do with Nick foles winning the Superbowl he already had a 7td game
I mean it all worked out …
Or he just gave him some pointers tf
These interviewers cut off their guests way too much. Let em talk
The algorithm brought me here. This Brad Wing guy has me confused. Thought he was from Atlanta or something, but his ass is from Australia.
The Dream Team!!! Yooooo I had that T- Shirt!!!!!! siiiiick
Despite being polar opposite players, Vick is actually including himself in Foles’ success as a Super Bowl winner😂
Yea I noticed that. What an ego Vick has. Can’t believe he had the nerve to take partial credit for Nick Foles’ success.
@@yeadogthazmyboi I mean, he might not be wrong. I'm positive Foles learned from Vick in his earliest seasons. Could Vick have worded it better? Sure.
@yeadogthazmyboi bro most good QBs sit and learn behind a vet. Rodgers and Love did it. Mahomes did it. Brady did it. Herbert did it. Hurts did it. Lamar did it.
@@devinpayton7475 imagine how much Foles could have learned if he got to learn behind a good QB.
Won a super bowl @@denimchicken104
This is why they went 4-12 and got Andy Reid fired. Patriots were doing hard conditioning the week before the Falcons Superbowl, but these guys wanna complain about doing it in training camp.
I didn't know Mike Tyson was going to be on this video.
I remember being the only person saying that I would leave Foles in after he helped win the their only Superbowl. They benched a champion for Wentz and they have not won it before or since. Stupid decision.
Is this Macklemore over here?
Most overrated QBs of all time
1) Colin Kaepernick
2) Tim Tebow
3) Mike Vick
No
@crappycrane7325 yup
It didn’t work because chip Kelly thought that running fake RPOs with sam Bradford who was never going to run the ball thus defeating the entire concept of the offense was the best plan
is this Riley Cooper?
Never understood the Chip Kelly situation. He literally destroyed a great team. I remember people accusing him of being racist because of the players that he was keeping compared to the ones he was getting rid of, made no sense.
Stephen a Smith started that based on some dudes at the barbershop n then next thing ya know it's talked about every day n then the players were saying incorrect stuff cuz they were butthurt
Look. I hate chip Kelly....but the idea of a guy who tortured his dogs talking about being mistreated is ironic af
I like Chip as a OC
People laugh! Nick Foles over Mike Vick???? Hahahah! Super Bowl nick -1 Vick 0
Chip got rid of the malcontents...laid the foundation for the Super Bowl team...
And this guy killed dogs in a bath tube but he’s still making money… amazing world we live in
i hope he stays rich forever too
@ what does that do for you?
@@Joe-xm3fm why does him making money bother you is a better question
Chip brought the college ways to the NFL and that will not work on grown up men.
Vick looks and sounds like a young Freeway Ricky Ross wow.
Who’s the white dude?
Cooper deJean
Brad Wing, apparently he was a kicker/punter for the Eagles in 2013. I had to google him cuz I was wondering whos' god damn white baby is that?
Ya dad
Brad Wing
Brad wing
0:48 because he won a Super Bowl?
That was YEARS before he went back to Philly & beat the Patriots
Learn what a timeline is. This was years before that.
You have time to delete this comment go do your research before talking shit 😂
@ Nick Foles never won the Super Bowl???
Nick foles has a Super Bowl bruh. Don't clown foles
3:28. 🤣🤣🤣 Tah HAH!
Lurie is who brought in Demarco Murray cuz he wanted to turn the negativity about shady being traded into a splash move
foles won a Super Bowl. why no qb competition? hindsight is 50/50 Michael...
Chip Kelly was a disaster as head coach. I loved 2013 Michael Vick as much as I loved 2010 Michael Vick and 2009 Michael Vick!!!
If he never went to jail does mike hit 10k rushing yards?
The birds are just finding their identity again these past few years after what Chip Kelly did to us. I hate that mf. He traded away my two childhood favorite players in Djax and Shady !!
You're hilarious dude. So 9 yrs later ur getting ur identity back? Hahaha. Djax wasn't traded Howie released him
Look at Deestroying out here getting your Oprah on dawg!
Chip is low key one of the reasons the eagles won the Super Bowl
Can you explain?
The year before, thry went 4-12. The year before that they went 8-8. Those players werent gonna win anything together.
Did vick just take credit for nick winning the SB?
Hey... Nick Foles has a Super Bowl ring... Vick doesn't. Sooo competition was legit
Nick floles won a Superbowl what vick win
Not 1 but 2 $100 million dollar contracts. He won that and you won "Hater of the Day" award.
People always remember Vick as the super duel threat and in my book should be a hall of fame
Vick won the hearts and minds of simpletons who love his ability to run fast and play mediocre ball.
Won the hearts and minds of those who recognize true God given talent a qb that can run a 4.30 and throw a 50 yard bomb in the drop of a dime loser.
@@freedomwarrior1416you don't get in the Hall of Fame by running fast and throwing the ball far. Vick was a mediocre QB who had a lot of talent but unfortunately wanted to just get by off his talent and not do things QBs are supposed to do. He is nowhere near the HoF and he won't make it into any Ring of Honor for any team he played on. Vick was an idol to ppl who don't care to really watch football but be entertained. Vick has a completion percentage worst than QBs who played in the 60s and 70s...
