He took his punishment on the chin, and didn’t let the dark situation define him. He may never be able to fully make up for it, but he’s definitely done everything in his power to make up for it. Then again, this is a bit biased since I grew up idolizing Mike Vick.

Chip been a coward. The story that gets left out is Chip stepped down from Oregon before NCAA recruiting violations hit. He tried to play it off like he was paying for recruiting info but he still got banned from coaching college for 18 months.

Started following the team around 2010 after coming across some highlight videos on YT. Picked up football rules as I sometimes stayed up trying to catch the live game from across the globe while wearing Djax jersey that took forever to ship from the US.
Got so frustrated at the team getting torn apart even stopped following football altogether … a true adolescent trauma.
10+ years later, this is the closure that I need. This is a therapy session for both players and the fans too. Trip down memory lane 🥲

This shit was like therapy for the fans, too. When D-Jax kicked the Eagle I wasn't mad, but hearing him say he didn't want to hurt the fans is dope. DeSean is one of my all-time favorite players and I stayed a fan even when he was fucking us up - a 5'10" burner, barely 180 lbs but he'd go all over the field, get the ball, take a hit from a safety and he'd hop up fast as shit and before the safety got up off the ground he'd already have pulled the front of his jersey, showing off the #10 while tucking his chain and pointing out the "first down", then just dropping the ball from his outstretched hand - all that before the guy who hit him is on two feet - legendary.
